Love Island fans just finding out Casa Amor star was on X Factor

Love Island beauty Yasmin Broom has been turning heads in the Casa Amor villa - but she's no stranger to fame as she was in a girl band which split after lockdown
Love Island stunner Yasmin Broom has spilled the beans on her pop past, revealing she was once part of a girl band. The 26-year-old Manchester beauty is among the six bombshells set to shake things up in the Casa Amor villa.
But Yas isn't new to the spotlight; she graced our screens on ITV's The X Factor back in 2016. Yas was part of Four of Diamonds with Caroline Alvares, Lauren Rammell, and Sophia Saffarian, who made it to the live shows on the hit talent show.

Post-X Factor, the group landed a global record deal with EMI, marking them as the first girl band to do so since the iconic Spice Girls, reports OK!. In Monday's (July 7) Love Island episode, Yas opened up to Giorgio Russo about her musical journey: "I spent a bit of time in London, like four years.

"Before I was a DJ I was a singer, in a grid band. We were on The X Factor. We came eighth place."
Giorgio probed about the band's breakup, to which Yas disclosed: "Lockdown, cause we just couldn't perform or anything."

Fans were gobsmacked by Yas' revelation, taking to social media to express their astonishment.
On X, previously known as Twitter, one viewer exclaimed: "Just found out that this Casa Amor girl was on the X Factor in the girl group Four of Diamonds in 2016. I knew I've seen her face before."
Another fan reminisced: "I used to love four of diamonds."

A third chimed in: "FOUR OF DIAMONDS MENTION YES YAZ #loveislanduk #loveisland."
A fourth social media user exclaimed: "She was in FOUR OF DIAMONDS ? ? ? #LoveIsland."

Another chimed in: "YAZ MENTIONED THE X FACTOR AND FOUR OF DIAMONDS! real ones were obsessed with them at one point #LoveIsland".
After scoring a record deal, the girl group Four of Diamonds released their debut single 'Name On It', collaborating with Afrobeats star, Burna Boy, and followed up with tracks like 'Stupid Things' featuring Saweetie and 'Blind'.
In 2019, the band warmed up arenas for Rita Ora's UK tour and graced television screens with appearances on Blue Peter and Britain's Got More Talent.
They kept up the momentum by dropping more tunes through 2019 and 2020 and inked a new contract with Fascination Records before parting ways not long after.
Since the band's split, Yasmin carved out a solo career as a DJ, spinning at numerous UK festivals including Manchester's Parklife, before jetting off to Love Island.

Love Island's Harrison makes huge Lauren relationship bombshell after villa exit

EXCLUSIVE: Love Island's Harrison Solomon and Lauren Wood speak in their first joint interview as Harrison makes a huge life-changing decision days after leaving the ITV2 show Love Island star Harrison Solomon has revealed he won't be returning to America after finding love with Lauren Wood — just days after walking out of the villa in an emotional bombshell exit. ‌ In their first joint exclusive chat with The Mirror, the 22-year-old, who previously lived in the US, said the decision to stay in the UK was easy after the whirlwind of fame, controversy, and romance that followed his time on the ITV2 show. ‌ 'As it stands, I'm not going back to America,' Harrison confirmed. 'Coming off Love Island, I want to be around people who love and support me — my family, my friends… and Lauren.' ‌ The couple, who were brought together during the infamous Casa Amor twist, have been inseparable ever since. Lauren, 26, entered the villa halfway through the summer series, instantly catching Harrison's eye despite him being coupled up with original islander Toni. And while the Derby lad's journey was anything but smooth — involving late-night tears, public backlash, and emotional goodbyes — he insists he has no regrets. When Harrison first entered the villa as a bombshell almost 5 weeks ago, viewers weren't quite sure what to make of him. Charming, flirty, and confident, he quickly coupled up with Toni, and the pair looked like a solid match — at first. ‌ But everything changed when Casa Amor hit, and Lauren strutted into the picture. 'I knew I was going in for Harrison,' Lauren admits. 'He's 100% my type. As cringe as it sounds, he's my type to a T. But I didn't expect the connection to be so instant.' Harrison echoed the sentiment. 'As soon as I saw her, I got this giddy feeling. I fancied her straight away, and the more we talked, the more we realised how much we had in common. It just flowed.' Their chemistry was undeniable — but it came at a cost. Harrison's decision to bring Lauren back to the main villa shocked the group, especially Toni, who was left single and blindsided. What followed was a tense recoupling, a teary confrontation, and one of the most emotional exits of the season so far. ‌ 'Trying to navigate getting to know two people at once — there's no handbook for that,' Harrison admits. 'I definitely didn't go about things the right way, and I hurt people along the way. But it was never malicious.' After Lauren was dumped from the island, Harrison shocked everyone by voluntarily leaving the villa 24 hours later to be with her on the outside. ‌ 'People said I shouldn't leave, but I knew I had to. That day without her made me realise what I wanted,' he said. 'It wasn't a good 24 hours. I just sat and reflected. I went in to find something real, and I knew that was Lauren.' Since leaving the show, the couple have been adjusting to life in the real world — but without the 24/7 cameras. 'We've been on proper dates, shopping in London, and just enjoying time together,' Lauren shared. 'It's nice just being us, not 'Harrison and Lauren from Love Island.'' The pair have already spoken to each other's families over FaceTime and say meeting in person is on the cards soon. 'She spoke to my whole family. We'll get to boyfriend and girlfriend status in the near future,' Harrison teased. 'She wants me to pop the question now.' ‌ Their first official date? 'Harry's just outside Harrods,' he revealed. 'We planned it while in the villa, so we knew exactly what we wanted to do when we got out.' But it hasn't all been sunshine and selfies. Harrison faced backlash after Women's Aid raised concerns about 'misogynistic behaviour' during his time on the show, particularly relating to how he navigated his connections with Toni and Lauren. 'It was hard to see,' he said of the articles. 'I don't believe those labels reflect who I am at all. I've definitely made mistakes, but none of it came from a bad place. Everyone close to me — even Toni — knows that.' ‌ In one of his final villa scenes, Harrison got visibly emotional during a heartfelt chat with Toni, apologising for how things ended. 'She told me I wasn't a bad person, just that I went about things the wrong way,' he said. 'That meant a lot. I needed that conversation.' While the show aired just one hour a day, both Harrison and Lauren insist that their connection was deeper than what viewers may have seen. ‌ 'People think it was all PDA, but it wasn't,' Lauren said. 'We were genuinely getting to know each other. We were glued to each other's sides every day.' Harrison agreed: 'We had proper chats, laughs, and just clicked on every level. That's why I left.' With their relationship going strong, the couple are taking things slow — but seriously. 'There's no pressure,' said Harrison. 'We're just enjoying this chapter and taking it day by day.' And what about watching the show back? 'Not yet,' Lauren laughed. 'We've seen TikToks and little clips, but we'll probably binge it in a few months when we've got time.' Looking back, Harrison says the toughest part wasn't the drama — it was hurting people unintentionally. 'I cared about both girls at one point, and I know my indecision caused pain. That's what I regret the most.' But he also knows he's come out of it with something real. 'I left Love Island with what I went in for. That's all I could've asked for.'

There is no way,' before diving into questions about Harrison's antics on the show. The admirer adds: 'Mad guy innit? Bouncing between two gyal and them things there. But you know what? I rate it though.' Harrison, who found himself at the centre of a love triangle in the villa, responds: 'Appreciate that man… Lauren was one of the gyal in the triangle, man. And I chose Lauren. Now I'm back home.' When asked what the villa is 'really like' behind the scenes, Harrison - joined by 26-year-old Lauren Wood - replies: 'Bro it's crazy… challenges, everything, all sorts man. Drama every day.' The fan presses on, asking whether the drama is genuine or played up for the cameras. Harrison insists: 'Yeah, it's real. It's real. Mad.' But it's his next comment that's raised eyebrows among viewers. Harrison admits: 'They'll like put people together and stuff like that to have conversations and stuff like that.' The fan then chimes in with: 'I know one of the Love Islanders, they told me like, yo they'll tell you like, cool, just bless you with that person.' Harrison replies: 'Yeah yeah yeah. They'll say that shit. Fair enough.' The clip sparked speculation that producers may be manipulating scenes for entertainment. Love Island's Harrison and Lauren cosy up on romantic double date with villa couple just days after his shock show exit In response, a Love Island spokesperson told The Sun: 'I think it's worth pointing out that he says twice in that clip that the drama is real himself. "For guidance, the opinions the Islanders have, decisions they make and the relationships formed are completely within the control of the Islanders themselves. "What is shown is an accurate representation of villa life.' Harrison decided to quit the show in a surprise move after Lauren was dumped from the villa. Lauren begged him to go with her, but he said he wanted to sleep on it. The following day, Harrison announced to the Islanders that he was leaving the process. Harrison and Lauren had sex while in the villa together, which caused divided opinions among viewers. Upon his exit, Harrison was asked how he felt about his mum and dad knowing what he had done on television. He said: 'I hope they didn't see. But listen, it was a natural thing. 'I don't think I intended to have sex in the villa, but in there all the Islanders could tell we were so attracted to each other. 'Naturally, it was going to happen. 'The spark between us was crazy. 'I probably wasn't thinking about my parents and them watching it, but it naturally happened and I don't regret it.' The controversial Islander was then slammed for his "scripted" apology after he appeared on Aftersun on Sunday. Harrison said he felt the point that his romancing of both girls went too far was after he'd slept with Lauren. "I think maybe when we did bits," he said. "Probably took it a little bit too far talking to Toni after that. "I obviously regret that massively and I apologise to both the girls but, yeah, it wasn't good for me." He then said if he had his time again he would have had up front conversations with Toni and Lauren earlier to save them getting upset. But viewers weren't buying his latest apology, with one writing on X: "Harrison has CLEARLY wrote a speech and memorised it this is not genuine." Another said: "Harrison has gotten away with what he's done way too easily." A third posted: "Harrison's not sorry for sh*t." A fourth said: "Is anyone buying this with Harrison? "I'm glad no one clapped at Harrison's poor excuse of an apology." Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX. 5 In the viral video, Harrison is approached inside a London Boots branch by a fan Credit: Tiktok/@ifoundsmokez 5 Harrison decided to quit the show in a surprise move after Lauren was dumped from the villa Credit: Shutterstock Editorial 5 Harrison drew criticism for his behaviour from charity Women's Aid Credit: Shutterstock Editorial
