It's the couple no one saw coming. In recent weeks, the internet has been obsessed with the fact that Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson appear to be dating.
The speculation of a budding romance between the pair ramped up this week, thanks to reports suggesting they are officially dating. They are said to have started a romance after getting close on set of The Naked Gun together. Now, a source close to the movie has told PEOPLE: 'It's a budding romance in the early stages. It's sincere, and it's clear they're smitten with each other.'
The source added that Liam and Pamela are 'enjoying each other's company.' It's early days, but they have previously gushed about each other in interviews.
Liam stayed single for pretty much 16 years following his wife, Natasha Richardson's, tragic death in 2009. Here's what we know about his dating history...

In recent weeks, Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson have shared a number of cosy red carpet moments, which has people wondering whether they are dating.
The pair addressed the speculation during an appearance on Today. Craig Melvin quipped: 'You're both single right now. There's clearly chemistry on display throughout this film. Are you two an item?'
Liam replied: 'Craig!' while Pamela seemed to thwart the Craig's query: 'I don't understand the question.' Liam responded by praising his co-star. 'I had never met Pamela before,' he said. 'We met on set. And we discovered we had a lovely, budding chemistry—as two actors.'
He added: 'It's like, 'Oh, this is nice. Let's not mold this. Let's just let it breathe,' and that's what we did.'
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly last month, Pamela echoed a similar sentiment. 'Our chemistry was clear from the start. We have the utmost respect for one another,' she told the outlet, detailing how the pair shared professional but intimate dinners together. 'I invited him and his assistant over for romantic dinners with me and my assistant so our relationship stayed "professionally romantic" during filming.'

Neeson only dated one person after the death of Natasha, and that was Freya St. Johnston. Freya, who is a public relations executive, had a two year relationship with Neeson. Reports at the time suggested Neeson split from Freya to spend more time with his family.
'Liam is heading back to America at the start of next month to work on his new film Non-Stop ,' a source told the Daily Mail. 'He told Freya that he wants to take a break and concentrate on his family.'

Apart from Freya, Liam Neeson hasn't been romantically linked to anyone since his wife, Natasha Richardson. The pair met when they worked on a Broadway play in 1993, and married in 1994. As well as being a Broadway star, Natasha starred in a number of big films. including The Parent Trap, The Handmaid's Tale and Asylum. The couple had two children - Micheál in 1995 and Daniel in 1996.
Natasha sadly died in 2009 after a head injury on a skiing trip in Quebec. Speaking about her death, Neeson called it a 'horrible thing to happen.' Her son Micheál took Natasha's last name instead of Neeson's to honour his mother.

Actress Helen Mirren dated Liam Neeson in the 1980s - something the pair publicly acknowledged in a 2018 appearance on the Graham Norton show. The conversation arose when Norton brought up the topic during the programme.
'We didn't date. We lived together for four years,' said Helen Mirren. 'We were a serious item for a while. Lucky me!'
Neeson even recalled the moment he fell in love with Mirren. 'I remember being on the set and standing with Ciarán Hinds as Helen walked towards us dressed in her full Morgana Le Fey costume and we both went, 'Oh fuck,"' he remembered. 'I was smitten. I think Ciarán was too, but I was very smitten!'
Mirren replied: 'I never knew that. You've never told me that before. It's amazing.'
Helen has shared equally fond memories of their time together. In a 2022 interview with AARP, she said: 'We loved each other. We were not meant to be together in that way, but we loved each other very, very much. I love him deeply to this day. He's such an amazing guy.'

Liam dated Brooke Shields in the early 1990s - a relationship Brooke detailed in her 2014 memoir. 'He wooed me with his brogue, his poetry, and his shitty choice of cheap pinot grigio wine,' she wrote.
Liam reportedly proposed to Brooke twice over the course of their relationship, before the pair went their separate ways at the end of 1992.
Liam Neeson has been linked to several other A-listers in the past. He reportedly dated Barbra Streisand from 1991 to 1992, although they kept most of their relationship out of the public eye. He has also been romantically linked to Janice Dickinson and Sinead O'Connor.

Janice Dickinson's comments about Liam Neeson's manhood resurface amid Pamela Anderson romance

As Liam Neeson enjoys a flowering romance with Pamela Anderson, saucy claims have resurfaced about what he is like in the bedroom. Supermodel Janice Dickinson has dished that she indulged in a fling with Liam before he achieved the global stardom he enjoys today. Looking back on the relationship years later, Janice, 70, had emphatic words to describe what she saw when Liam, 73, got undressed. The fashionista crowed that Liam had 'the biggest penis of any man alive,' while giving an interview to the New York Post in 2006. 'It was like an Evian bottle fell out of his pants,' she told Star in 2011. 'The earth shook. Oh my God, you don't understand. I swallowed my tongue. I was so shocked. This was way before he was famous, too.' Janice, who reached the height of her fame in the 1980s, has dated a string of celebrities including Sylvester Stallone, Warren Beatty and Jack Nicholson. A source confirmed to Daily Mail this week that Liam and Pamela have been dating 'for a while' after meeting on the set of their upcoming The Naked Gun reboot. Liam was previously married to actress Natasha Richardson, who fell on a ski slope without a helmet and died tragically a head injury at the age of just 45 in 2009. In her memoir No Lifeguard on Duty, Janice claimed she first met Liam at the studio of a photographer who was 'doing a book of celebrity nudes and wanted me in it.' She arrived 'dressed like a f*** machine' and was met with the sight of a 'half-naked' Liam, at which point her 'Little Flower tingled. No, it didn't tingle. It f***ing rocked. Suddenly I realized that I was missing sex, too. Just not with my husband.' At the time, she was still with her second husband Simon Fields, whom she married in 1987 and welcomed a son with before divorcing him in 1993.

Liam Neeson explains why sex scene in Naked Gun ‘was a first'

Liam Neeson discussed filming a 'strange' sex scene with co-star Pamela Anderson for the upcoming film The Naked Gun. The actor described the scene, which involved a snowman, as specifically choreographed and his first time working with an intimacy coordinator. Neeson admitted to using a body double for a nude scene in the film. The film's writers, Dan Gregor and Doug Mand, referred to the segment as the 'strangest sex scene' of Neeson's life. Neeson and Anderson's on-screen and off-screen chemistry has sparked dating rumors, which Neeson has not directly addressed.

The Naked Gun film review: Liam Neeson & Pamela Anderson's offscreen chemistry is every bit as impressive on screen

THE NAKED GUN (15) 85mins ★★★★★ 4 IT'S shaping up for a year of unlikely bedfellows – Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau, Keir Starmer and Donald Trump, and now Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson. The Irish Oscar-nominated star of Schindler's List told reporters 'I'm madly in love' with the former Baywatch actress after filming this remake together. At the premieres and in interviews, they've been giggling like school kids. That offscreen chemistry is every bit as impressive on screen, with shapely Pamela smouldering as she paws at her handsome co-star. What's even more surprising is that Neeson, best known for playing the tough guy in the Taken series, is so good at comedy. Just like the late Leslie Nielsen from the 1988 original, he's a serious actor who is funny because he's not trying to be funny. It's beyond me how he keeps a straight face while wearing a skirt that reveals strawberry-pattern pants underneath. In the 2025 reboot, Neeson plays Lt Frank Drebin Jr, who is the son of Nielsen's character in the original trio of movies. As with Nielsen's Drebin he's an accident-prone Los Angeles detective who finds himself caught up in a dastardly plot. Pamela's Beth Davenport points the bumbling cop in the right direction and they fall for each other. Remarkably, Neeson turning out to be a comedy genius is not the most surprising thing about The Naked Gun. Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson make out in steamy on-air moment as Today host Craig Melvin asks 'are you an item-' What's really unusual about this remake is that it's not a pale imitation of the original. Producer Seth MacFarlane, best known for the Family Guy TV series, and director Akiva Schaffer (Saturday Night Live) have not altered the winning formula of the original film too much. It is packed with corny jokes, such as Lt Drebin telling Beth 'take a chair' and her then walking off with one of the stools. There are also edgier ones that have earned the film a 15 certification. A perfectly innocent encounter between Drebin, Beth and a dog takes on an X-rated appearance through an infrared camera. David Zucker, who directed the first two Naked Gun movies, also put adult material into his comedies. Not all of the gags work, but they come so thick and fast, I found myself laughing more than I have done in a cinema for years. It's so funny I'm even hoping for a sequel. Now, that's really surprising. DOGSPIRACY (12A) 98mins ★★☆☆☆ 4 JUMPING on the bandwagon of movies with 'piracy' in their titles, this documentary has nothing to do with canine pirates. Instead, like Seaspiracy and Cowspiracy, it is about a 'conspiracy'. British vet Dr Marc Abraham believes 'dark forces' keep puppy farms in business. He fronts this film which sets out to expose what can be a cruel trade, with dogs sometimes kept in filthy, cramped conditions. I expected lots of footage of undercover animal rights campaigners revealing such terrible behaviour, but sadly, the film's producers don't appear to have secured the rights to show much of this readily available material. Instead we see Marc watching it on his laptop in a cafe from an angle that reveals nothing. There are disturbing images of farms in Eastern Europe, but this film's focus is on the US. There, showing off his chest hair in the cold, Marc gets excited about being able to take his camera crew into an Amish puppy mill – which has heated floors and is spotless. This is no hard-hitting documentary . . . I was sold a pup. SAVAGES (PG) 87mins ★★★☆☆ 4 STOP-MOTION splendour meets an urgent call to protect the rainforest in this heartfelt animation from My Life As A Courgette director Claude Barras. In this follow-up, Barras swaps the orphanage of his debut for the endangered rainforests of Borneo. The story follows Kéria, a spirited teenager living on the edge of the forest with her widowed father, who reluctantly works for a palm‑oil plantation. Kéria's world is upended when young cousin Selaï moves in with them after his home is destroyed. The pair, along with Oshi, an orphaned orangutan, then embark on an adventure blending environmental urgency with personal discovery. The villains – swaggering plantation bosses – are rendered in broad strokes, but the film's honesty keeps it compelling. Armed only with blowpipes that fire harmless darts, the locals' stand becomes a symbol of defiance against greed and intimidation. Savages' clever blend of charm, ecological awareness and cultural respect makes it a winning, if slightly conventional, addition to contemporary animation.
