Husker commitment set to visit campus next Friday
Class of 2026 Nebraska football linebacker Jase Reynolds will be visiting Lincoln next Friday. This was reported by multiple media outlets.
Reynolds originally committed to the Huskers on May 5. He has visited Nebraska several times in this calendar year, with his most recent visit coming on April 12. He also visited Lincoln on February 1, as well as on November 23, 2024.
He is currently ranked as the 63rd overall linebacker in the 2026 class, and the seventh overall player in his class from the state of Nebraska per the On3 Rankings.
The linebacker is part of a 2026 class that is still forming. Currently, the class has five commitments in it, with offensive lineman Rex Waterman being the most recent commitment. The program has made a summer push with recruits, and more good news could be coming in short order.
Reynolds could be a key part of the linebacker unit, especially in regards to depth and productivity. He will give the linebacker unit an additional playmaker, on a unit that already has a bit of a local feel to it.

Steelers LS calls Mike Tomlin 'literally ruthless' despite being a player's coach
Many love to criticize Steelers HC Mike Tomlin for being a player's coach — but LS Christian Kuntz believes everyone has the wrong idea. On Thursday's Kaboly + Mack podcast, Kuntz argued that Tomlin is just as 'ruthless' as he is motivational: 'Everything that's said in the public, and the way he acts, is truly the way he acts in the locker room in front of us,' Kuntz said. 'Motivating, you know, he's gonna get it out of you. People call him a player's coach, and yeah, obviously he's a player's coach, 'cause you see how many guys want to come play with him. A player's coach, yes, but he's gonna get on your a--. He is gonna let you know about every single finer detail; he is going to call you out. If you're not doing your job, you're being held accountable.' Recently, Steelers legend James Harrison also weighed in on Tomlin's player's coach mentality — considering it both his best and worst quality. How Tomlin's ruthlessness will mesh with the Aaron Rodgers-led offense remains a mystery — but the Steelers are hopeful this union will finally end their postseason misfortune. Colorado football key 2026 offensive line target commits to SEC program
Colorado football class of 2026 target, offensive lineman Deacon Schmitt, committed to Oklahoma on Saturday. Schmitt chose the Sooners over the Buffaloes and the Alabama Crimson Tide. 247Sports Composite ranks the Windsor, Colorado, native as the No. 371 overall player in the class of 2026, the No. 31 interior offensive lineman and the top prospect from his home state. His commitment follows official visits to each of his four finalists, including Boulder on May 2. Schmitt joins an Oklahoma class of 2026 that currently ranks No. 36 in the nation with 14 players committed. Despite having a nearly top 30-ranked class, the Sooners still are on the outside looking in, sitting at No. 10 among SEC recruiting classes. The Buffs should view Schmitt's commitment as a missed opportunity to keep one of the top Colorado recruits in-state. However, it became clear that the Buffs were significantly behind the Sooners in recent weeks. After receiving two commitments this week, Colorado's 2026 class does not feel as bleak with four recruits now in the fold. Schmitt's decision was one of the four top targets scheduled to announce their commitment over the next couple of weeks. Adding more blue-chip prospects will be key to Colorado improving a relatively slow start to the current recruiting cycle. Follow Charlie Strella on X, Threads and Instagram.
