Lacey Chabert recalls how she, her co-stars 'burst into tears' after shooting Party of Five final scene
The actress recently talked about what it was like on set during the show's final moments. Chabert recalled that she and her on-screen siblings all "burst into tears" after the director called cut on the show's last scene, reported People.
"I thought it was a nice way to end the show and I remember we did that take and they call, like, 'That's a wrap,' and we just all burst into tears and we hugged and we cried and we stayed there for a long time because it was, it was really hard to say goodbye in that way," she said.
The show, which aired on FOX from 1994 to 2000, followed the five Salinger children after their parents are unexpectedly killed in a car crash leaving the eldest brother Charlie (Matthew Fox) to become a de facto parent to three teenagers played by Scott Wolf, Neve Campbell and Chabert and a baby, as per the outlet.
Chabert shared working experience with Wolf in the 2023 Hallmark Channel holiday movie, A Merry Scottish Christmas, in which they played estranged siblings who head to Scotland to celebrate the holidays with their mother.
"We had the best time," she told the audience, adding that it was "wild" to be working together again. "It's like, it had been 30 years, I think, since Party of Five premiered, and it was our first moment on set together. It felt like no time had passed," reported People.
She continued, "You know, when you spend six years of your life with a group of people, they become family, and so, you know, we all keep in touch and they just mean so much to me. So to have that chance [to work with Wolf again] -- that full circle moment."

Sylvester Stallone sold his dog to keep him alive before Rocky fame but his turtles are still by his side
Sylvester Stallone's 'Rocky' Turtles Still Going Strong And So Is the Legacy of His Famous Dog, Butkus While Rocky made Sylvester Stallone a household name in 1976, the film also introduced two unlikely co-stars that remained with him far beyond the screen—his turtles, Cuff and Link, and his bullmastiff, Butkus. Unlike many movie props or animal performers, these companions became a lasting part of Stallone's personal life. Cuff and Link are still alive in their fourties, and Butkus, who passed away in 1981, left behind a legacy strong enough to earn an IMDb listing of his own. In a nostalgic Instagram post shared in May 2018, Stallone posted a photo alongside the turtles and wrote about their enduring presence in his life. The actor, now in his 70s, shared that Cuff and Link were not just props in Rocky, but have been part of his family since the film wrapped. He also highlighted their return to the big screen in Creed II (2018), referring to them fondly as his 'original buddies.' In Rocky, Cuff and Link were introduced during a quiet scene in which Rocky shows them to his love interest Adrian (played by Talia Shire), calling them 'the exotic animals I was telling you about.' What audiences may not have realized then was that Stallone kept the turtles after filming ended and continued to care for them reptiles, red-eared sliders by species, are known for their longevity, often living several decades with proper care. Their appearance in Creed II was more than just a nostalgic nod; it underscored the bond Stallone has maintained with them over the years. As People reported, the turtles are currently living a peaceful life under Stallone's Stallone's bullmastiff, also had a heartfelt role in the Rocky series, appearing in both the first and second films. But his off-screen story is just as compelling. Before Rocky became a hit, Stallone faced financial hardship and had to sell Butkus outside a 7-Eleven store because he could not afford to feed him. Once his screenplay sold, he tracked the dog down and bought him back—for $15,000, a steep price he was willing to pay without who was born in 1972 in New York City and died in 1981 in Los Angeles due to a heart attack, is remembered fondly by fans and even has an IMDb page under the name 'Butkus Stallone.' He's credited with roles in Rocky (1976) and Rocky II (1979), making him one of the few dogs with documented acting credits in a major film continued presence of Cuff and Link is more than a quirky trivia fact; it reflects the deep emotional ties Stallone has to the character of Rocky and the film that launched his career. Over the years, fans have speculated whether the turtles seen in Creed II were truly the originals. Stallone, however, has consistently affirmed their authenticity, emphasizing their significance in his life.

Jafar Panahi named Asian Filmmaker of the Year at Busan International Film Festival
Washington DC [US], July 22 (ANI): Iranian filmmaker Jafar Panahi has been tapped for the Asian Filmmaker of the Year award at the 30th Busan International Film Festival, according to Variety. This was followed by his recognition at the 78th Cannes Film Festival. Panahi accepted the Palme d'Or for "It Was Just an Accident," a film directly inspired by his time in prison at the prestigious event. Panahi's film is filled with equal parts absurdist humour and rage, following five characters who believe they have identified the prosecutor who tortured them during their own detention, but because they were all blindfolded in jail, no one is confident their captor is the same man, reported Variety. What makes his achievement remarkable is that he achieved it despite severe restrictions. The 65-year-old filmmaker has been banned from making movies by Iranian authorities and has faced multiple arrests, detentions and travel prohibitions. Yet he continues to craft films in secret and submit them to international festivals, reported Variety. "This recognition reminds me that cinema can still connect us beyond borders, languages, and limitations," Panahi said upon receiving the honour, adding, "I accept this award not only in my own name, but also on behalf of all those who, in silence, in exile, or under pressure, continue to create." His films consistently probe themes of individual freedom and resistance, often focusing on marginalised voices within Iranian society. Panahi, who is considered one of Iranian cinema's greatest auteurs, previously won prizes "The Circle," "Offside," "This is Not a Film," "Taxi" and "No Bears," winner of the Venice Film Festival's 2022 Special Jury Prize. "Taxi" won the Berlin Golden Bear in 2015, while his "Offside" won the Silver Bear in 2006, as per Variety. Arrested by Iranian authorities in July 2022 after signing an appeal against police violence, Panahi spent several months behind bars. He was released from prison in February 2023. The filmmaker's other major accolades include Locarno's Golden Leopard for "The Mirror" in 1997 and Cannes' screenplay prize for "3 Faces" in 2018, reported Variety. Busan's Asian Filmmaker of the Year honour goes to individuals or organisations that have significantly advanced Asian cinema and culture. Panahi will receive the award at the festival's opening ceremony on September 17. The 30th edition of Busan runs from September 17 to 26, with the Asian Contents and Film Market taking place from September 20 to 23, according to Variety. (ANI)
