Nick Knowles' wife Katie reveals truth about why she looked so ‘disinterested' at six-figure wedding after bride shaming

The Suna day ago
NICK Knowles' new wife Katie has hit back after bride shamers slammed her for looking "disinterested" at their six-figure wedding.
The DIY SOS star tied the knot with Katie, who's 27 years his junior, at an Essex stately home last month, before they celebrated their marriage on a £2k a day honeymoon yacht.

Despite being back at home now, Katie is still enjoying reliving her special day, and took to TikTok to share a video of Nick's emotional reaction to her walking down the aisle.
"When he looks at you like this..." she wrote over the top.
In the clip, Katie was seen looking stunning in a white dress with unusual blue detailing, as she walked down to meet Nick, who had opted for a powder pink tux for his big day.
The 62-year-old appeared overcome with emotion as he greeted Katie at the altar with a kiss.
And the pair were then seen waiting to exchange their vows.
"Walking up the aisle to the man who said he wouldn't cry… and completely failed," Katie wrote in the caption.
However, a lot of comments pointed out that while Nick couldn't stop staring giddily at his soon-to-be wife, Katie seemed to be struggling to make eye contact with her man.
"She doesn't look interested," one wrote.
"Did she really want to marry him?" another questioned.
"I thought the same," a third commented.
We just tied the knot at Glastonbury in front of 500 strangers - I wore a £27 Shein dress & we saved £20K on the DJ too
"He keeps looking at her wistfully but she looks as if she didn't want to be there….strange…." someone else said.
"Looks like she's ready to go home lol," another added.
"She doesn't look at him and looks like she doesn't want to be there," someone else said.
"Well you look very unhappy," another insisted.
"Yeah I'm getting 'I'm being forced into this' vibes from her," someone else cruelly wrote.
"Awww she's the most unhappy bride I've ever seen and I hate that for her if it was just nerves," another said.
Wedding makeup do's and dont's
Paige Williams, Founder & CEO of the iconic P.Louise makeup brand shared her tips.
DO: Go timeless over trendy
We all love a trend babe, but for your wedding day? Let's keep it classic. Think soft glam, radiant skin, neutral tones with a pop of sparkle - You want to look back in ten years and still be obsessed with your glam. Classic never goes out of style.
DON'T: Try something totally new
Your wedding day is not the time to switch it up with neon liner or completely new brows babe. You want to feel like you, just the most elevated, glowing version. Stick to what you know makes you feel confident and gorgeous.
DO: Prioritise long-wear formulas
Your wedding is a marathon, not a sprint. You're not just walking down the aisle, you're dancing, hugging, crying, and posing all day long. You need makeup that's in it for the long haul. Go for waterproof, transfer-proof & cry-proof products. Your face needs to slay from 'I do' to the last dance and be able to handle those happy tears.
DON'T: Overload your base
Babes, less is more. You want coverage, not cake. Go for that breathable, buildable base that lets your real skin glow through. You're aiming for flawless, not flat. Trust me, your photos will thank you.
DO: Book a trial
Non-negotiable. Whether you're DIY-ing your glam or booking a MUA, a trial is your makeup dress rehearsal. Test it in daylight, take selfies, wear it for hours. It's the only way to know it'll hit just right on the day.
DON'T: Forget your neck & chest
Don't stop the glam at your jawline, babe. Blend that foundation, bronzer and glow down to your neck and chest, we're going for seamless, snatched and sculpted from every angle. You're the main event, let it show.
"It's 10 seconds of video out of an entire 13 hour day meant to be about the way he looks at me," Katie hit back.
"I was so nervous, every time I saw him crying I started and I had a full face of make up.
"I wanted to stay on my face for more than just the first hour of the day!"
"God forbid someone is nervous on their wedding day in front of people," she added in response to another comment, while saying to someone else that she gave "no f**ks" about the criticism.
And there were also those in the comments who defended Katie.
"I didn't look at my husband either when saying my vows as I didn't want to cry," one wrote.
"We've been married for 20 years. I wouldn't read too much into it!"
"Ffs folk read so much into things," another added.
"If they make each other happy then leave them be. Getting married in front of a room of people and cameras is nerve wracking.
"Wishing you guys all the best."
"Finally a bride as nervous as I was on my wedding day," a third commented.
"Someone came up to me after and said 'you looked so stern'.
"It made me so sad because it was one of the happiest moments for me but yes I was nervous and hate being the centre of attention."

Katie Price set to be ‘homeless' again a year after Mucky Mansion eviction

KATIE Price could be about to find herself homeless again - just one year on from being evicted from her infamous Mucky Mansion. The star was forced to finally leave her dilapidated pad last year amid her ongoing financial issues. 3 3 3 Katie's former home became synonymous with its down-and-out nature and its constant need for repair and upgrade. After being kicked out of the mega-mansion, Katie was forced to move into a much more modest property but she could be about to leave there for good too. Speaking on her self-titled podcast, Katie revealed that the landlord of her current home is preparing to sell their home which means she will likely be forced to leave again. Katie, 46, said: "I've got to move house as the guy [who owns it] wants to sell the house now. "So, I've got to go on the house hunt again." Chatting to her sister, Sophie, she confessed she was preparing to look at new places on the house for sale website, Rightmove, before suggesting she would potentially move closer to her children's school. Katie has five children - Harvey, 22, Junior, 19, Princess, 18, Bunny, 10, and Jett, 11. Katie then added: "I might go closer to the kids school. "I am gonna talk to the guy, he might let me stay there a bit longer but he might not. "But if not, I will move closer to the kids school." Katie is understood to currently be living in a four-bedroom house in Sussex. She previously spoke of her joy at moving into a £5k-a-month new build in Sussex and starting a fresh chapter. Last month we exclusively revealed a buyer had snapped up the Mucky Mansion for less than Katie paid for it in 2014. The rundown pad, which has nine bedrooms and four bathrooms, was bought for £1.15million - £200,000 less than Katie paid for it. She previously insisted it was worth at least £2million. Katie said last year: "I absolutely have hated my mansion. "I tell you why, nine years of hell I've had there. Fly-tipping, it's haunted… And I am living with it. "Whoever buys that house, good luck! I hate it." Katie - once worth £45million - moved into the mansion ten years ago. Katie Price's missing millions At the peak of her career Katie had an estimated fortune of £45m, thanks to her lucrative modelling career, book deals, and TV appearances. The cash-strapped mum-of-five was first declared bankrupt in 2019 over unpaid debts of £3.2 million. In a podcast interview earlier this year, she blamed her exes who include Peter Andre, Alex Reid and Kieran Hayler and lawyers for her money woes. She insisted that funding her exes' lavish lifestyles with cars, watches, luxury holidays and homes left her finances in tatters. She added: "I went through a breakdown, this is how mine started - lawyers and exes, that is my bankruptcy thing. "And obviously a bit of HMRC. "When I had my breakdown, if anyone has been depressed… I don't know if you've ever had depression. "It starts with depression and you just want to sleep all day and not talk to anyone, the phone would ring and you wouldn't answer it.' In March, Katie was declared bankrupt for a second time over an unpaid tax bill of £761,994.05. The demand for payment was made by HMRC last October. Katie was due to give evidence about her finances at the High Court but failed to turn up - holidaying in Cyprus with her new man JJ Slater instead. Her Mucky Mansion was a bomb site for years after it was burgled, flooded and swamped by an overflowing septic tank. She finally moved out at the end of May and is renting a four-bed mansion in Sussex.

‘Why are we only seeing this?' – Fans left fuming at bungling BBC's broadcast of Wimbledon

FANS fumed at the bungling BBC's Wimbledon broadcast - which cut away from showing the tennis for more than THREE MINUTES. Dan Evans took on Novak Djokovic on Centre Court in round two. 7 7 7 The Brit served to stay in the set at 5-1 down. But after missing his first serve on the opening point, the TV cameras bizarrely cut away. For about one minute, an angle thought to be from the BBC studio showed a chair in the foreground and a blurry image of the walkways around the All England Club. Then for nearly two-and-a-half further minutes, live footage of tennis fans enjoying the afternoon sunshine on Henman Hill filled the screen. The sound and commentary from Centre Court continued as Evans held for 5-2. And it was not until the end of the changeover - three minutes and 23 seconds after cutting away from the match - that the BBC went back to the live feed from Wimbledon's main show court. It is understood both BBC One and BBC Two were hit by the error, which was not addressed on air by the commentators. Viewers trying to watch Evans battling against Djokovic blasted the Beeb's blunder. One said: "Why are we only seeing a picture of Henman Hill rather than Centre Court?" Another wrote: "Why are we watching everyone sat on Henman Hill instead of Evans vs Djokovic?" John McEnroe interrupts brother Patrick on Wimbledon broadcast to make major personal announcement live on ESPN 7 Wimbledon 2025 LIVE - follow all the latest scores and updates from a thrilling fortnight at SW19 A third moaned: "Who is in charge of broadcasting the Championship, is it the latest trainee? Really poor." A fourth complained: "I mean the coverage has been absolutely terrible. Moving court coverage around without any reason, not showing the Brits, not saying what is on iPlayer. Now we have a fantastic showing of Henman Hill with no tennis. Just give up guys." The mistake comes two days after British tennis fans were unable to watch the start of Jack Draper's opening match of the tournament. The BBC News was on at 6pm - just as Alexander Zverev was playing a crucial tie-break on Centre Court. So BBC bosses opted to stick with the tie-break before switching over to Draper. Elsewhere, the broadcasters were mocked for their hilariously big microphone given to Iga Swiatek for her radio interview. But on a more serious note, reports this week suggest the BBC face a battle from TNT Sports and Sky Sports to retain the rights for Wimbledon beyond their current deal which runs until 2027. 7 7 7
