Nicole Kidman shares video from the set of Practical Magic 2, filming begins
Los Angeles, Jul 19 (PTI) Hollywood stars Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock reunited on the sets of 'Practical Magic 2", as they began filming for the sequel to their 1998 film.
Featuring Kidman and Bullock as the Owens sisters, the original film was helmed by Griffin Dunne. It was based on the 1995 novel 'Practical Magic" by Alice Hoffman.
The sequel has both actors, Kidman and Bullock, reprising their roles of Gillian Owens and Sally Owens, respectively. It is set to release in theatres on September 18, 2026.
Kidman shared a video on her Instagram handle from the set of 'Practical Magic 2" on Friday as she met her co-star, Bullock. The video began with the camera pointing towards the actors, who share a hug.
The caption of the post read, 'The witches are back. Owens sisters' first day on set! #PracticalMagic." 'Practical Magic" followed the story of two witch sisters raised by their quirky aunts in a small town. Together, they confront narrow-minded prejudice and a curse that jeopardises their chances of finding true love.
The film also starred Alexandra Artrip, Evan Rachel Wood, and Stockard Channing.

Teej Mahotsav concludes with focus on culture, women empowerment
New Delhi, Jul 27 (PTI) The Teej Mahotsav 2025, a three-day celebration of tradition, women's empowerment and cultural heritage, concluded on Sunday at Dilli Haat, Pitampura. Organised by the Delhi government, the festival witnessed enthusiastic participation from across the city and beyond, transforming the venue into a hub of music, crafts, food and community engagement, a statement said. Held from July 25 to 27, the event featured over 100 stalls showcasing handicrafts, regional delicacies, cultural art forms and interactive activities such as rangoli-making, slogan writing and quiz competitions, it said. A dedicated children's zone, selfie points, swings and free mehendi services added to the festive atmosphere, it added. Women Members of Parliament from Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Delhi took part in the event. Mallika Nadda was also among the attendees, the statement said. Speaking at the closing ceremony, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta described Teej as a reflection of cultural awareness and women's collective identity. 'The presence of my sisters enhances the beauty of every event. The large turnout shows how deeply connected women are to the spirit of Teej," she said. Minister for Art, Culture, Language and Tourism Kapil Mishra said the event was organised free of cost to promote women-led entrepreneurship and provide a platform for local talent. 'Teej Mahotsav is an important step towards positioning Delhi as the cultural capital of the country," he said. Watch: Adorable Baby Elephant Gives Squishy Hugs To Humans, Melts Internet
The internet is full of heartwarming videos where baby elephants charm everyone with their innocence and curiosity. Adding to the collection, a delightful new clip is winning hearts online. Shared on X (formerly Twitter) by the @amazingnature account, the video shows an adorable baby elephant interacting with a man and a woman. In the now-viral video clip, the baby elephant can be seen sneaking up behind two people who are sitting in what appears to be a field. As they turn around, the young elephant puts its trunk on them. Afterwards, the elephant puts its front two legs on the shoulder of the man and gives him a squishy hug. Both the man and the woman can be heard laughing as the baby elephant, oblivious of its weight, continues with the warm hug. "Baby elephants think humans are so cute and want to hug us," the video was captioned. As of the last update, the video had garnered over one million views and hundreds of comments, as social media users melted over the cuteness of the baby elephant. "It's so cute how the baby elephant does not have any clue how big it is," said one user, while another added: "Do baby elephants realise how gigantic they are? A third commented: "They are like toddlers in giant bodies. That trunk hug is everything." A fourth said: "Just when I thought today was awful, this video came along and healed my heart." As the video went viral, the baby jumbo's cuteness in trying and failing to climb up the chair mesmerised the internet. Similarly, another viral post on Instagram showed a tusker enjoying a bath with his caretaker when he spotted an unexpected little visitor - a tiny frog. Despite being relatively large in size, the baby elephant displayed tremendous composure and gently attempted to avoid the croaking frog.
