Shares of Go Fashion (India) Limited traded in focus on Thursday after the company announced the commercial launch of its first-ever international store in Dubai. The store, located in Silicon Central Mall, marks Go Colors' debut in the Middle East market through a strategic partnership with Dubai-based retail giant Apparel Group.
The expansion is part of Go Fashion's broader ambition to strengthen its global footprint. According to the company's press release filed with the stock exchanges, the new store will offer a curated selection of bottomwear products, including leggings, joggers, trousers, and more—targeting diverse customer segments across occasions from casual to workwear.
Commenting on the launch, Gautam Saraogi, ED & CEO of Go Fashion, stated that Dubai was chosen as the first international destination due to its diverse consumer base and strategic importance within the GCC. Apparel Group's extensive retail network and operational expertise are expected to support Go Colors' growth across the region.
As of 2024, Go Colors operates 750+ exclusive brand stores in India and is present in over 2,000 large format stores. This international foray comes at a time when the brand is increasingly focusing on affordability, inclusive sizing, and variety—offering over 50 bottomwear silhouettes in vibrant colors.

National security-focused VC firm America's Frontier Fund is raising $315 million for its debut fund

A national security-focused VC fund, America's Frontier Fund, is raising a large new fund, capitalizing on the sector's support as the Trump administration rallies behind defense tech. The firm is raising up to $315 million for its first fund, called the Frontier Fund, according to a pitch deck viewed by Business Insider. In early 2023, the target for the fund was $500 million, per an SEC filing. The fund will consist of $140 million of private capital from limited partners and $175 million of government loans, according to the deck. The fundraise hasn't closed yet, and the terms of the deal could change. Part of the funding will come through the Small Business Investment Company Critical Technology Initiative, a program launched by the Defense Department and the Small Business Administration to grow private investment in biotech, quantum science, advanced materials, AI, space, and more. A spokesperson for the venture firm declined to comment on the fundraise. America's Frontier Fund will receive government-guaranteed loans, matching private investments up to $175 million. The firm will repay the loan with interest over a ten-year period, according to Washington Business Journal, which first reported the fund's government loans in 2024. The fund has also raised $100 million from the state of New Mexico, Bloomberg reported in 2023. The private capital raise has not been previously reported. The Frontier Fund will give the Arlington, Va.-based firm fresh cash to back startups building frontier technologies — advanced manufacturing, compute solutions, energy, and other highly technical fields — that support American economic and geopolitical influence. America's Frontier Fund recently invested in Venus Aerospace, which makes hypersonic engine technology, and Foundation Alloy, a metal production startup. $315 million is large for a first fund; market downturn, delayed initial public offerings, and more have hampered venture firm's capacity to raise large sums of money from limited partners. In 2024, 121 US-based venture capital firms raised funds for the first time, notching $5.7 billion in commitments. That year, the average size of a US-based firm's first fund was just under $41 million, over $270 million smaller than the Frontier Fund, according to data firm Pitchbook. Investments in the defense tech space have surged up to $1.4 billion in the first quarter of 2025, compared with $200 million the same period last year, according to Pitchbook. The firm also invests out of its Roadrunner Venture Studios, which backs pre-seed and seed stage startups building frontier tech primarily in New Mexico. Silicon Valley heavyweights like former Google CEO Eric Schmidt and Founders Fund partner Peter Thiel have invested in the firm's separate nonprofit arm, the America's Frontier Fund Foundation, an initiative to support US technological competitiveness, like partnering with the Austin Community College District on expanding its advanced manufacturing program. Gilman Louie, the CEO of America's Frontier Fund, previously cofounded and ran In-Q-Tel, the CIA-funded investment firm. Cofounder and managing partner Jordan Blashek formerly worked at Schmidt Futures, Eric Schmidt's family office, now Schmidt Sciences, a philanthropic organization that funds research in AI, advanced computing, biotech, climate, and other industries.

How Rami Tabbara Is Unlocking Real Estate for the Digital Age

"When we explain it to new users, we tell them it's like buying shares in a company - except the company is a property. You earn your share of rental income, benefit from appreciation, and you can do it all from your phone." Opinions expressed by Entrepreneur contributors are their own. You're reading Entrepreneur Middle East, an international franchise of Entrepreneur Media. Under the glittering skyline of Dubai, where property ownership often seems reserved for the super wealthy, one entrepreneur is dismantling the barriers piece by piece. Rami Tabbara, co-founder and co-CEO of Stake, is on a mission to make real estate investing as accessible as ordering food or hailing a ride. "I spent nearly 20 years in real estate, and I kept running into the same wall," says Tabbara, formerly a Senior Vice President at Middle East property giant DAMAC. "The industry was paper-heavy, expensive, and intimidating. It just didn't make sense that one of the most powerful ways to build wealth remained locked behind layers of bureaucracy." In 2021, at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, Tabbara launched Stake, a real estate platform built for the digital generation. The idea? Fractional ownership, transparency, and accessibility, all rolled into a user-friendly interface. For as little as 500 dirhams, anyone can now own a piece of Dubai or Riyadh real estate and earn income from it. As its name suggests, fractional property ownership means you can buy a fraction of a property, rather than the whole thing. You benefit from income once the property is rented out, along with any capital appreciation. Stake recently crossed 1 billion dirhams in property transactions and has over one million users from across 210 countries. Building in a Lockdown Launching a property startup in the middle of a global pandemic might seem like a gamble. For Tabbara, it was the challenge he had been looking for. "Dubai's market had frozen, rents were falling, expats were leaving — it was chaos," he recalls. "But that forced us to build with discipline. We focused on trust, regulation, and compliance from day one. That's why we've been able to grow sustainably." That foundation has paid off. Stake is now licensed by both the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) and the Saudi Capital Market Authority (CMA). It's also Shariah-compliant — another barrier removed for global investors. Another challenge he faced was explaining to potential investors how fractional ownership works. "When we explain it to new users, we tell them it's like buying shares in a company - except the company is a property," says Tabbara. "You earn your share of rental income, benefit from appreciation, and you can do it all from your phone." Stake's numbers speak volumes. Over 420 properties have been funded, 35 million dirhams has been paid out in rental income, and more than 250,000 investments have been made. Retail investors can invest up to $100,000 annually, with a maximum ownership cap of 33% per property to prevent monopolisation. Those with a verified net worth over $1 million can exceed that limit — and even qualify for a UAE Golden Visa via Stake with a minimum 2 million dirhams investment. Focused Growth, Not Just Listings While other platforms scale by quantity, Stake opts for quality. "We're not a traditional marketplace. Every property we list is handpicked, analysed, and underwritten," says Tabbara. "We work with top brokers and asset managers to source the best performing assets — if it doesn't meet our yield and risk criteria, we don't list it." In 2024, the company introduced its highest-yielding product to date — the Fix n' Lease fund - and expanded into Saudi Arabia, becoming the first platform licensed by the CMA to offer real estate access to global investors. Within five months, it launched three private funds in Riyadh, attracting SAR 135 million in foreign direct investment from over 10 countries. With its regional footprint established, Stake has its eyes on a global rollout. New asset classes, new geographies, and crypto payments are all on the roadmap. "We're working on enabling crypto as a payment method. Many of our users, especially outside the GCC, prefer it. But we're taking a compliance-first approach," Tabbara explains. That compliance-first mindset has also attracted heavyweight backers. Stake is supported by Aramco's Wa'ed Ventures, Mubadala Investment Company, and Al Jomaih Holding, a sign of confidence from some of the region's biggest institutional names. Democratising Wealth, One Stake at a Time For Tabbara, the mission goes beyond just property. "We've democratized access to wealth creation," he says. "We're giving people the chance to participate in markets that were once only available to the ultra-rich or big institutions. And we're doing it with full transparency, clarity, and accessibility." The idea behind fractional property ownership has made its way into the world of crypto and the blockchain, with real estate tokenization. Dubai Land Department and Prypco recently launched a pilot scheme offering stakes in properties starting at 2,000 dirhams each. Stake has been in active discussions with the Dubai Land Department (DLD) and digital assets regulator VARA and is currently working to align its platform with the new regulatory framework around tokenized real estate. "We expect to participate in the second phase of the pilot program, which is scheduled to go live in Q3 or Q4 this year," adds Tabbara.

African startups raise $1.35 billion in the first half of 2025

African startups collectively secured $1.35 billion in funding during H1 2025, a 78% surge from the $800 million raised in the same period last year. African startups raised $1.35 billion in H1 2025, a 78% increase from the same period in 2024. June 2025 was the strongest funding month in nearly a year, with $365 million secured. Monthly fundraising exceeded $250 million four times in H1 2025, averaging $237 million per month. Startups across Africa raised $365 million in June, making it the continent's strongest funding month in nearly a year and capping a robust first-half (H1) performance in 2025. According to new data from Africa: The Big Deal, African startups collectively secured $1.35 billion in funding during H1 2025, a 78% surge from the $800 million raised in the same period last year. The June upswing represents more than just a one-month rally. 2025 has seen consistent momentum, with monthly fundraising crossing the $250 million threshold four times already, a notable departure from the sluggish investment climate of early 2024. The average monthly funding in H1 2025 now stands at $237 million, up from $133 million in H1 2024 to $187 million across the full year. The current performance also puts H1 2025 nearly on par with H2 2024's total of $1.37 billion, with only a marginal 1.5% decline — showing a level of sustained investor confidence not seen in recent years. Equity deal flow rebounds Equity investments accounted for $950 million in H1 2025, representing a 79% increase from H1 2024. While the figure trails H2 2024's equity haul by a modest 7%, it reflects a strong rebound in venture capital appetite across African markets, particularly in sectors like fintech, health tech, and logistics. Debt financing sees surge Debt funding, which appeared to lag in early 2025, saw a dramatic turnaround in June. The month closed with $227 million in announced debt deals, the highest monthly figure in more than two years. Senegal-based fintech company Wave alone accounted for $137 million of that total.
