Superstar Salman Khan has been the face and spirit of Bigg Boss, and this year too, he returns as the host, guide and mentor to all the contestants.
The much-anticipated teaser for Bigg Boss 19 has been unveiled. On Thursday, JioHotstar shared the teaser on its social media handles and announced that the grand premiere will take place on August 24, 2025. In the teaser, Salman Khan revealed a big twist in this year's theme and shared that season 19 will have 'Gharwalon ki Sarkaar" – signalling a seismic shift in power inside the house. He also promised 'too much fun" and urged everyone to brace themselves.
Seen in a sharp Nehru jacket, flanked by black cat commandos, Salman brings his trademark mix of authority and charm to the teaser, embodying the power-play at the heart of this year's theme.
In a statement, Salman Khan reflected on the show's new twist and said, 'I have been a part of Bigg Boss for very long now and as we all know, Bigg Boss reinvents the game every year aur iss baar, it is gharwalo ki sarkar. And when too many people start pulling the strings, it's bound to get messy. That's when the cracks show, and the house turns into a warzone. After all these years, I can honestly say I'm just as kicked as you are to see how it all plays out."

Who Will Participate In Bigg Boss 19?
Every year, fans remain glued to their screens on the Bigg Boss premiere date for the final list of contestants. The speculations, however, begin much earlier. Reports claim that around 45 celebrities have been approached so far. According to the fan page Bigg Boss Taza Khabar, several television personalities and digital influencers are in talks for the season. Some of the names include Rati Pandey (Miley Jab Hum Tum), Hunar Hali, Apoorva Mukhija (aka The Rebel Kid), Mr Faisu, Dhanashree Verma, Sreeram Chandra, Meera Deosthale, and Bhavika Sharma.
There was also chatter about a UAE-based robot named Habubu joining the show. However, a source informed The Indian Express that the robot may no longer be a part of the final lineup.
Bigg Boss Season 19 marks a fresh chapter for the legacy reality series that continues to redefine Indian non-fiction television. With each installment turning up the heat, Bigg Boss remains a cultural juggernaut with devoted fans spanning every generation and screen. The show is slated to release only on JioHotstar and Colors.
