Kay Kay Menon: Himmat Singh will always be Himmat Singh in the way he operates, no change

Mumbai: Actor Kay Kay Menon, who is gearing up for the release of the upcoming season of his superhit streaming show 'Special Ops', has shared that his lead character of Himmat Singh in the show hasn't changed much in 5 years. The actor recently spoke with IANS, and opened up on the trajectory of his lead character which drives the show forward. The second season of the show deals with the threat of cyber warfare. Talking about his character, the actor told IANS, 'I don't think Himmat Singh has changed. He still remains the same Himmat Singh. What has changed is the challenges that he faces. So in that sense, contextually, the situations are different. But Himmat Singh will be Himmat Singh the way he operates'. He further mentioned, 'All the same, things have been kind of opened up in this in terms of his home front. And we can't reveal much, but, you know, things like one more track opening. Actually, there are so many things happening. So that is most exciting as far as scripting is concerned. So for me, I always look forward to it, every edition as to what new thing is coming. And what do I need to do as Himmat Singh to tackle that?'. Earlier, the actor had said that the market is always important, as showbiz is the business of emotions, where business and emotion both play an important part. He said during the release of his streaming show 'Shekhar Home' that one cannot just have audio-visual content because they want to see it in their drawing room. It has to be made in a way that caters to the market as well. However, the actor made a sharp comment on those who take the audience for granted and don't believe in pushing the boundaries. He said earlier, 'What is questionable is the sensibility, nothing else. So, if you assume that the audience is dumb, then there is a problem. It is best to assume that the audience is intelligent, they are sensitive, everything is there and now you are making something for them'. 'Special Ops 2' is set to stream on JioHotstar from July 11, 2025.

Moonwalk OTT Release Date: When and where to watch Sibi Kuttappan and Anunath's Malayalam thriller online

Moonwalk OTT Release Date: Sibi Kuttappan recently headlined this Malayalam film alongside Anunath and Nainita Maria, which has finally found a digital home. The film arrived in theatres on 30th May 2025 and received positive reviews from both critics and audiences. Now it is ready to leave a mark on OTT consumers. Moonwalk will be releasing on JioHotstar starting July 8, 2025. Moonwalk's cast and crew Produced by Lijo Jose Pellissery, Listin Stephen and Jasni Ahmed, this Prashant Pillai musical is cinematographed by Ansar Shah. Other than the lead trio, Moonwalk also starred Rishi Kainikkara, Siddharth B., Sujith Prabhakar, Arjun Manilal, Manoj Moses, Appu Ashray, Sanjana Doos, Nainita Maria, Meenakshi Raveendran, Harshitha J Pisharody, Sreekant Murali, Thushara Pillai, Nikhil Sahapalan, Thonnackal Jayachandran, Mini I. G. and Prem Shankar among others. Moonwalk's plot overview Moonwalk follows a group of young men from different backgrounds, different religions, castes, and income levels. Even though they're united by their passion for dance (and chasing love), the differences are still very clear. Each of them has their own unique style and way of dressing, even if they don't have much money. The film also shows how society judges people who don't look or dress the way others expect, sometimes even getting them into trouble with the police, who assume they're up to no good just because of how they look. Moonwalk's review The Times of India rated the film 3.5 out of 5, and a part of their review read, 'Moonwalk is a film that stands out with its theme, performances and simplicity. It can even be called a slice-of-life film, focusing primarily on how dance transforms the lives of a few young men and their families. One gripe with the film is how the local slang was overdone. Some dialogues, particularly during interactions among friends, felt repetitive and served little purpose. People in Trivandrum definitely don't use "Oo" and "Thanne" so frequently in every conversation.'
