Exclusive: What Shah Rukh Khan Told Wedding Filmer AKA Vishal Punjabi About Cinema
He is the OG Bollywood wedding videographer. From Deepika Padukone-Ranveer Singh to Virat Kohli-Anushka Sharma to Katrina Kaif-Vicky Kaushal, his lenses captured the grandeur of Bollywood's biggest weddings and turned them into a larger-than-life celebration of love, much like the movies. This filmmaker, who weaves stories out of real-life weddings, owes his career to Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and his production company Red Chillies Entertainment. As Vishal Punjabi Aka The Wedding Filmer completes 15 years in the industry, he talks about his long association with Shah Rukh Khan and his unforgettable influence during an exclusive chat with NDTV. Shah Rukh Khan And Cinema Before venturing into the wedding business, Vishal Punjabi used to work as a line producer for Red Chillies Entertainment in Mumbai. Vishal, who always wanted to make films, was noticed for his knack for visual art. Vishal was allowed to set up a team for visual art by putting together visual effects productions for films such as Asoka, Main Hoon Na, Paheli, and Don -- all starring Shah Rukh -- as well as Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd. He moved to the advertising vertical of Red Chillies Entertainment to produce and direct television commercials. When asked about his long association with Red Chillies Entertainment, Vishall tells NDTV, "Everything I know about filmmaking, I have learnt from my time at Red Chillies. Farah Khan, Santosh Sivan, Bobby Chawla, Juhi Chawla, Shah Rukh Khan are my mentors. They taught me how to edit, they have taught me how to shoot. They have taught me the language of cinema. I hope they are proud of me now." What are some of his fond memories with Shah Rukh Khan? "Shah Rukh Khan once told me, 'Filmmaking requires a lot of maturity, time and love. Only make a film when you reach that level of maturity'. I think, today, I have reached that level of maturity, where I can bring expertise and years of my experience to the craft." He started his career when there was no wedding videography market in India as such. Reflecting upon his career, he says, "It's been quite a journey."

Farah Khan thought I was drunk: Kay Kay Menon on Sajana Ji Vari Vari shoot
Actor Kay Kay Menon recently recalled giving such a convincing performance that choreographer Farah Khan asked if he was drunk or had taken drugs. The incident took place during the shoot of the song 'Sajana Ji Vari Vari' in 'Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd'.In a conversation with podcaster Shubhankar Mishra on YouTube, Menon said, "She (Khan) came aboard the yacht where we were supposed to shoot the dance. I reached early and told her, 'Farah, please don't give me those aerobic-style dance steps.' She asked, 'Then what are you going to do?' I said, 'Just let me flow with the character. Let my dance be part of the act.' She agreed."advertisementHe then shared the choreographer's reaction to his performance and said, "After a while, she stopped me and said, 'Kay Kay, are you drunk?' I said, 'No yaar.' She then said, 'You had some drug?' She genuinely thought I had taken something. I had to convince her I was just acting. What they don't know is that I don't drink at all." In the same interview, Menon also shared that it was director Reema Kagti who helped him get into the shoes of his character."I played a nerdy guy who unknowingly gets high after drinking something (Kagti) was an expert. She gave me a detailed idea. Once I understood it, my character just opened up," he a look at the song here: Released in 2007, 'Honeymoon Travels Pvt Ltd' was an ensemble comedy film that followed the story of six couples on their honeymoon. The film marked the debut of Reema Kagti as a director. The film also featured Minissha Lamba, Ranvir Shorey, Shabana Azmi, Boman Irani, Raima Sen, Ameesha Patel and Dia Kay Menon, who is known for playing serious characters on-screen, will be seen in the second season of 'Special Ops 2'. Connection After Replacing Priyanka in 'Humraaz' When questioned about her relationship with Priyanka following the replacement in 'Humraaz', Patel responded, 'We had a great camaraderie, and we are thorough professionals. And she is also a thorough professional and aisi koi baat nahi thi.'
