Jenna Bush Hager Gets ‘White Lotus'-Inspired Bob on ‘Today'
The saga of Jenna's bob actually began two months ago when Leslie, who starred as Kate, the more uptight of a trio of friends vacationing in Thailand in season 3 of The White Lotus, appeared as a guest on Today. The character immediately stood out to fans, not just because of Leslie's performance, but also because of her character's (affectionately called) 'cunty little bob.'
While gushing over Leslie's performance during the interview, Jenna mentioned that she loved her bob, even saying, 'I'm getting a bob. I'm getting a bob based only on you.' She then told Leslie that she would do it if celebrity hairdresser, Chris McMillan, who cut Leslie's new signature bob, would come on the show. Ask and you shall receive, Jenna!
Leslie returned to Jenna and Friends on Monday as a co-host, Chris in tow, to help Jenna get a brand new, White Lotus makeover. Viewers got to see Chris begin to cut Jenna's hair, but the final bob wasn't revealed until Tuesday. 'This is my hair!' she said, walking onto the stage.
'You look sexy and powerful and glamorous. And I kept saying it yesterday—you're a badass,' Leslie said, praising Jenna's vulnerability and willingness to go through such a big makeover on camera.
Not everyone in Jenna's life was thrilled with the transformation. The Today host shared a video of her three kids, none of whom seemed very happy. One even turned away to fake cry—something Jenna assures viewers is her family's 'love language.' So, it might have been a miss with the kids, but it was a hit with the husband, Henry Hager. 'The best thing is that my husband did like it,' she said. 'He was like, 'Damn, that's hot.''
Jenna and Leslie are making a pretty convincing argument the bob, but are you ready to try it?

From Euphoria to Entrepreneurship: Sydney Sweeney's Lingerie Brand Gets Bezos Boost
is preparing to debut a lingerie brand reportedly backed by Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) founder investor Jeff Bezos and his wife, Lauren Sánchez. The Emmy-nominated actress, best known for her roles in HBO's 'Euphoria' and 'The White Lotus,' has spent the last year building what insiders describe as a personal passion project, Fox Business reports. The brand is reportedly backed by Ben Schwerin, a partner at Coatue Management and former Snap (NYSE:SNAP) executive. According to The Economic Times, Schwerin's involvement marks a notable moment, as Coatue has traditionally focused on high-growth tech and rarely invests in consumer-facing brands. The Economic Times reports that Schwerin may have been hired to use his celebrity relationships to bring in star-driven brands like Sweeney's. Don't Miss: Be part of the breakthrough that could replace plastic as we know it— $100k+ in investable assets? – no cost, no obligation. Bezos And Dell Seed Coatue's $1 Billion Innovation Fund Amid Strategic Shifts Coatue Management recently launched a new innovation fund with $1 billion in seed capital committed by the family offices of Bezos and Michael Dell, The Wall Street Journal reports. The fund will allocate between 20% and 50% of its assets to private companies, with the rest targeting public stocks, based on a pitch deck seen by the outlet. "It's such an obvious idea that if I don't do it, someone else will," Philippe Laffont, Coatue's founder, told the Journal in an interview. Though neither Bezos nor Dell directly invested in Sweeney's company, The Economic Times says their capital underpins the same Coatue vehicle now backing her venture. Founded in 1999, Coatue is known for major investments in high-profile startups like OpenAI, SpaceX, and xAI, managing $54 billion in assets as of December, according to the Journal. Of the assets Coatue managed as of December, approximately $22.3 billion was allocated to public equities while $22.9 billion was designated for early-stage and growth venture investments. Trending: This AI-Powered Trading Platform Has 5,000+ Users, 27 Pending Patents, and a $43.97M Valuation — The Journal says the new fund tied to Bezos and Dell is expected to become a high-margin revenue stream for Coatue, with an annual management fee of 1.25% and a 12.5% performance fee on profits that exceed 5% annually, based on the firm's pitch deck reviewed by the outlet. The firm's new fund lowers the investment threshold to $50,000 and is launching with Swiss banking giant UBS to attract high-net-worth individuals who want exposure to private tech and consumer innovations, the Journal reports. The move reflects a growing appetite to blend Silicon Valley capital strategies with cultural and influencer-driven brands. Sweeney's Rise As A Brand Builder Signals Shift In Celebrity Entrepreneurship During her rise to fame, Sweeney has formed partnerships with major global brands like Kérastase, Bai, HeyDude, and Laneige, according to Fox Business. She recently garnered headlines for a campaign with Dr. Squatch, promoting a novelty body soap reportedly infused with her bathwater, further showcasing her influence as a digital-era presence at Bezos and Sánchez's June wedding in Venice, initially seen as unusual, now aligns with reports linking her new venture to Bezos-backed funds, Fox Business says. Posts on Sweeney's social media in lingerie and swimwear with model Amélie Tremblay are now being interpreted as pre-launch teasers, suggesting a savvy, staged rollout of her product line, according to The Economic Times. While Coatue has not confirmed the precise amount invested in Sweeney's company, its reported pivot toward culture-forward assets is attracting attention across both the retail and venture ecosystems. Kelly Clarkson Just Cut Her Hair Into a Short Swishy Bob
NBC/Getty Images Kelly Clarkson has officially joined the bob club. The singer and host of her eponymous talk show showed off her new haircut in a clip shared by The Voice on Instagram July 22. In the clip, she, alongside longtime coaches Adam Levine and John Legend, share that they will be returning for season 29 of the show, which will premiere in spring 2026. Fans welcomed Clarkson back with open arms, with many sharing in the comments how thrilled they are that she's making her return. But despite the big news that she'd be back for another season, we couldn't help but notice her much-shorter haircut in this new clip. Though Clarkson has favored longer locks in recent years, it looks like she decided to take the plunge and embrace the bob. We get a quick glimpse at the hair transformation, but from the looks of it, she's opted for a side swept shoulder-length classic bob with some texture and waves throughout. She traded in her long, elbow-length blonde tresses and bangs for this much shorter, nearly bronde bob. And Clarkson isn't the only talk show host to lean into the bob recently. On her show, Today with Jenna & Friends, Jenna Bush Hager got a bob haircut live on TV, courtesy of celebrity hairstylist Chris McMillan (he also cut Leslie Bibb's now-famous 'c-nty little bob' for her role on The White Lotus). While McMillan cut her hair, Hager exclaimed, 'that's so short!' and honestly, she's not wrong. Bob haircuts are short styles, usually with the hair falling somewhere between the ear and the chin. There are tons of bobs to choose from, depending on how much length or texture you're looking for. For example, French bobs tend to be on the shorter side with a little bit of texture, while a classic bob is usually cut right at the nape of the neck and blunt. If you're more comfortable with a slightly longer bob, the shoulder-length lob is cut between your chin and collarbone. 'Bobs vary in length and can be longer depending on the desired look,' says hairstylist Laurabeth Cabott. 'Deciding whether you want a more chic style or something that you're able to play around with and style differently from day to day can help you determine what length to cut your bob.' 42 Bob Haircut Ideas to Try in 2025 The good news is that a bob will complement anyone. 'A classic bob haircut, where the length falls between the chin and shoulders, can look great on any face shape,' says celebrity hairstylist Jennifer Korab. 'A bob can be customized with different lengths and textures to suit your individual style.' With her duties as a coach for The Voice and a daytime talk show host, Kelly Clarkson is also currently in Las Vegas for a residency until late 2025. We can't wait to get another look at the singer's new bob during her next show. Catharine Malzahn is the contributing associate beauty editor at Glamour.
