CAIRO, July 2 (MENA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty received on Wednesday a phone call from his Italian counterpart Antonio Tajani during which they reaffirmed the strong relations between Egypt and Italy.
During the talks, the two ministers discussed regional developments, especially in Gaza.
For his part, Abdelatty outlined Egypt's coordination with Qatar and the US to reach a ceasefire and secure the release of hostages.
He also stressed the urgent need for unimpeded humanitarian, medical, and relief aid into Gaza.
The minister mentioned Egypt's plan to host an international conference on Gaza's early recovery and reconstruction once a ceasefire is in place.
Additionally, the top diplomat called for Israel and Iran to commit to a ceasefire and urged regional and international efforts to support de-escalation and diplomacy. (MENA)

The ministers stated that such developing relations are reflected in distinguished cooperation and ongoing coordination between the two countries across all areas of bilateral cooperation, as well as on regional and international files of mutual concern. The call comes as part of the ongoing coordination and the eternal fraternal relations between Egypt and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The call reflected harmony in visions and stances between the two sisterly countries and their shared desire to further strengthen bilateral relations and work towards political and diplomatic solutions to the crises affecting the region and the world. Both ministers discussed developments in the region, particularly the Palestinian cause and the catastrophic situation in the Gaza Strip and addressed ongoing efforts to resume a ceasefire in Gaza. Abdelatty highlighted Egypt's intensive communications with all parties to reach a ceasefire and ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip. They also discussed the upcoming conference on the early recovery and reconstruction of Gaza, which Egypt plans to host in cooperation with the United Nations and the Palestinian government once a ceasefire is achieved. The ministers reviewed intensive communications underway to solidify the ceasefire between Iran and Israel and resume negotiations on Iran's nuclear program in a manner that contributes to de-escalation and the achievement of calm. CAIRO, July 5 (MENA) - President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has issued Decree No. 31 of 2025 approving an agreement on preparing a roadmap for reducing methane emissions in Egypt. A 959,006-dollar grant will be provided under the agreement between the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation and the US Trade and Development Agency (USTDA).
