Acquired by Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli in 2019, the couple's Alibaug home is more than just a weekend retreat.
Intending to unwind away from the Mumbai spotlight, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma's Alibaug retreat is more than just a weekend home. It's a sanctuary of style, serenity, and smart design.
Tucked in Alibaug's most coveted beachside stretch that is favoured by A-listers like Shah Rukh Khan, Gauri Khan, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli's Rs 32 crore villa is a striking example of slow luxury and nature-inspired minimalism. Designed by the renowned South African firm SAOTA (Stefan Antoni Olmesdahl Truen Architects) and helmed by Phillippe Fouché, the property is built across a 10,000-square-foot plot with a layout that breathes in light, space, and quiet opulence.

Their lush garden is filled with native flora and indoor plants, mirroring the couple's love for greenery. There's a porch by the pool, a jacuzzi, a custom-built kitchen, and a dining nook in the garden – Virat's favourite spot. 'Here, I wake up, chill out, have lemon water, a cup of coffee, ease into it, and start afresh," he shared in the same interview.

Acquired in 2022 for around Rs 19 crore, with an additional Rs 10.5–13 crore invested in construction, the villa now carries a value of approximately Rs 32 crore. Built over 8 acres, the space is intentionally under-planned – a choice that aligns with the couple's need to 'just be" and disconnect.
When not in Alibaug, the couple splits time between their Rs 34 crore Mumbai apartment and Virat's Rs 80 crore Gurgaon bungalow. Now reportedly residing in London's Notting Hill with their children Vamika and Akaay, the family is leaning into privacy, nature, and slower living.

Here's why Nam Bo-ra's opted for Uganda over a traditional honeymoon

Why Nam Bo-ra Chose Uganda Over a Fancy Honeymoon Picture this: You've just had a fairy-tale wedding in Seoul, surrounded by K-drama-level glam, and everyone expects you to post Maldives sunsets or Parisian brunches on Instagram. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now But Nam Bo-ra, always the plot-twist queen, chose something way more meaningful. Just weeks after her May wedding to her entrepreneur husband, she packed her bags for a 20-hour flight to Uganda with SBS and the Environmental Corporation. No luxury resorts, no spa days-just pure purpose. She shared on her socials that the journey was "really tough," but the moment she landed and met Ugandan children, all the exhaustion disappeared. The mission? To visit local schools, check out water projects, and see firsthand the challenges faced by communities there. For Nam Bo-ra, this was about expanding her worldview and using her platform for something bigger than herself. Let's be honest-most of us would be knocked out by jet lag after a 20-hour trip (that's like Mumbai to Toronto, with a layover in Dubai!). But Nam Bo-ra's energy was all about the kids, the smiles, and the impact she could make. She even said, "I felt like my heart was growing with every encounter." Total main character vibes! From K-Drama Darling to Real-Life Changemaker Nam Bo-ra isn't just another pretty face from "Moon Embracing the Sun" or "My Only One." She's been on a serious Africa mission streak. Earlier this year, she was in Africa distributing snacks and school supplies to kids, and even squeezed in a safari (because, why not?). She posted about the joy of seeing children's faces light up, and how every trip made her more grateful for life's basics-like clean water and safe schools. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now Newlywed Life With a Twist-Not Your Typical Celebrity Story Nam Bo-ra's love life is already the stuff of viral headlines. Last year, she joked that her husband has a "beaver smile" and looks like football star Son Heung-min when he's serious. That's basically the ultimate boyfriend goals, right? But instead of showing off couple selfies from a five-star resort, she's out there in Uganda, making a difference. Imagine if your favorite Bollywood actress skipped a luxury honeymoon to volunteer in a remote village-people would lose their minds! But that's exactly the kind of energy Nam Bo-ra is bringing. She's showing that you can live your best life and still care deeply about the world around you. Her fans are loving it, too. Comments on her posts are full of support, with people saying things like, "You're a real role model," and "This is what true beauty looks like." It's a reminder that sometimes, the most glamorous thing you can do is help others. The Emotional Takeaway-Why This Story Feels So Close to Home Watching Nam Bo-ra blend her star power with genuine service reminds me of those moments when Indian celebrities quietly support causes close to their hearts-whether it's building schools, funding hospitals, or just spending time with people who need it most. There's a deep, universal connection in wanting to give back, no matter where you're from. Nam Bo-ra's journey is proof that you can be glamorous, generous, and gutsy-all at once.

Naga Vamsi acquires Telugu rights of Jr NTR and Hrithik Roshan's War 2 for Rs 80 crore, promises fans big action spectacle: ‘Time for the hat-trick'

With less than a month to go for its theatrical release, War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR , has already pulled off a major pre-release move in the Telugu market. Well-known producer and distributor Naga Vamsi of Sithara Entertainment has acquired the Telugu distribution rights of the film, reportedly shelling out a massive Rs 80 crore. The action thriller, directed by Ayan Mukerji, is one of the most anticipated releases of the year and a key instalment in the YRF Spy Universe. With the teaser already generating immense buzz, War 2 is scheduled to hit theatres on August 14 in both standard and IMAX formats. Naga Vamsi says War 2 will mark a hat-trick with Jr NTR Reuniting with Jr NTR after previously working on Aravindha Sametha and Devara, Naga Vamsi expressed confidence that War 2 will complete a hat-trick of successes. Taking to Twitter, he wrote: 'Yes... it's War 2... Couldn't be happier to reunite with my dearest @tarak9999 anna. After Aravindha Sametha and Devara, it's time for the hat-trick and we are going all in no matter what. Dear fans... get ready! You are going to witness the man of masses like NEVER before. .. Let's celebrate together and shake it to the core this August 14th.' He also thanked the film's lead cast and crew, adding, 'A big thanks to the man of masses @tarak9999 anna, Greek God @iHrithik ji, director @AyanMukerji and Team @yrf for making us a part of this action spectacle and bringing the experience for the Telugu audience.' by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like An engineer reveals: One simple trick to get internet without a subscription Techno Mag Learn More Undo Jr NTR and Hrithik to stay apart in promotions to preserve mystery Interestingly, the film's promotional strategy is equally ambitious. To maintain the intrigue around Jr NTR and Hrithik Roshan's shared screen presence, the two stars are not appearing together in promotional campaigns. This decision, according to insiders, is designed to heighten audience excitement and preserve the surprise of their on-screen chemistry. Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR to Avoid Joint Promotions for War 2 Produced by Yash Raj Films , War 2 is a sequel to the 2019 blockbuster War. It also continues the interlinked narrative of YRF's Spy Universe, which includes hits like Pathaan and Tiger 3. The screenplay is written by Shridhar Raghavan, with dialogues by Abbas Tyrewala. With a high-octane storyline and massive stakes involved, War 2 could prove to be a defining moment for Telugu distribution, especially if Naga Vamsi's big gamble pays off. While the producer hasn't officially confirmed the Rs 80 crore deal figure, industry sources suggest it marks one of the most expensive Telugu rights acquisitions for a Bollywood film.
