Orlando Bloom blasted as an ‘idiot' for ‘inappropriate' beach snap of Daisy, 4, & Katy Perry is nowhere to be seen

The Suna day ago
ORLANDO Bloom has come under fire for sharing a naked photo of his four-year-old daughter Daisy Dove Bloom on the beach.
The Hollywood actor, 48, later deleted the snap, before resharing it with an emoji covering her.
The photo had been part of a sweet carousal of images of Orlando spending quality time with Daisy, who she shares with ex-fiancée Katy Perry.

However, many berated him for the "inappropriate" photo, which showed him carrying Daisy into the ocean to go swimming.
Hours before he had uploaded the image without a yellow love heart emoji covering her.
Taking to Reddit, one shocked person wrote: 'Some parents are such idiots. They don't post this child's face on social media, so they do understand privacy but then post a naked pic. Make it make sense.'
Another agreed: 'I can't help but feel like you have to be so out of touch to think it's okay to post a naked photo of your daughter, to a huge fanbase, and not consider the repercussions.
'I can understand how that might be a meaningful photo for a parent, but not on the interweb for millions to see.'
And a third added: 'Poor thing. I know having everything you desire would be nice, but having a celeb as a parent sounds like a special kind of headache for kids. Having a guardian so detached from reality is scary.'
Meanwhile, one pointed out: 'I'm not saying him posting it was ill-intent or anything, but there are people on social media who will use it for ill-intent and inappropriate reasons.'
However, many people were quick to defend the Lord of the Rings actor and said it was 'innocent.'
One wrote: 'She's gonna be four… I don't understand everyone's comments here. She's going swimming with her father.
Heartbroken Katy Perry told pals in January that Orlando Bloom relationship was OVER - as star removes engagement ring
'Again she is four. This is not, not a normal thing… he covered her butt in the picture..
'I used to run around naked until I was almost seen and a lot of the kids I grew up with did also.
'It's innocent and the fact that people are trying to make it weird ARE WEIRD AF.'
And one said: 'Jeez my childhood photos would have had loads of stickers over them, bare butts everywhere.'
In the other snaps, Orlando shared Daisy running along the beach flying a kite.
And one showed him and Daisy joined by a male friend and a young boy overlooking the ocean, before they headed to the beach to play with a bucket and spade.
The caption on the series of snaps was 'Some fun being had [sun emoji]', with the other images being clothed.
KATY'S FLIRTY FRIENDSHIP
It comes after Orlando has a jokey response to ex Katy's "flirty friendship" with Justin Trudeau.
The US Sun exclusively reported how the politician was spotted at Katy's Montreal gig - amid fears from her pals over her new connection.
Teenage Dream songstress Katy, who is single after recently splitting from fiancé Orlando, is on tour in Canada and had dinner with divorced Justin - the former Prime Minister of Canada - on Monday evening.
Orlando and Katy started dating in 2016 and got engaged three years later. However, The Sun understands they had difficult conversations about their future over Christmas and in January but struggled to make a firm decision.

He was seen beaming in photos published by TMZ as he chatted to the mum of one while dining at Le Violon restaurant in Montreal.
On Wednesday night, fans then caught him in the crowd singing and dancing at Perry's concert at the Bell Centre as part of her Lifetimes Tour, fueling further romance buzz.
Now Orlando, who "made his debut as a single man" at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez 's A-List nuptials in June, has waded in.
The Lord Of The Rings alum commented on an Instagram post by The Onion which featured an AI image of him having dinner with ex German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
The caption joked how the pair were spotted "sipping wine and slurping oysters."
They also joked how he "couldn't keep his eyes off" the politician.
Clearly appreciating the tongue in cheek reference to his baby momma, he posted three hand clap Emoji icons underneath.
PERRY WORRYING
Earlier this year, Roar hitmaker Katy was said to have already told pals their relationship was as good as done - as reports claimed Orlando "won't win her back."
Yet pals of the chart star have been quick to express their concern.
"Katy's friends want her to have fun after her split from Orlando, but she's still very much grieving the end of their relationship and the fact that she never made it down the aisle," an insider told The U.S. Sun.
"They don't want her to rush into something serious, and have heard Justin has a bit of a reputation as a womanizer, and that he loves the fame game.
"It is still a very new flirty friendship, but friends are hoping she takes it slow with the next person and chooses a man who loves her for her."
A second source added to us: "Justin isn't a guy who is easy to 'catch' and he has been having a lot of women trying to date him since he separated from his wife.
"He is someone that has some particular preferences, and he enjoys people who are genuinely nice and that see life in their own way.
"Katy has her own 'world' and she is someone who is an extrovert, and she loves to talk about many different topics, and he really loves that."
Orlando Bloom 'did NOT approve' of Katy Perry's space trip
ORLANDO Bloom did not privately approve of his fiancee Katy Perry's decision to take part in the controversial Blue Origin flight, The U.S. Sun has exclusively learned.
Though Katy, 40, gushed Orlando, 48, was "all about the journey" in a radio interview, a source claimed the actor "did not think going on the mission was a good idea."
The source insisted Orlando "knew she would get backlash" from the mission, and was "frustrated" and "disappointed" with her decision to take part in it.
"From day one, Orlando didn't think going on the Blue Origin mission was a good idea, and knew she would face backlash," the source explained of the actor, who has been engaged to the pop star since 2019.
"He always thought it was a stupid idea and she wouldn't get anything positive out of it."
Reps for Katy and Orlando did not respond to The U.S. Sun's request for comment.

What a relief – a modern comedy in which no one is grappling with their sexual identity

Can a man and a woman ever truly be best mates without the thorny issue of sex rearing its ugly head? It seems odd that in this age of gender neutrality, diversity this and diversity that, for a sitcom to be grappling with this age-old dilemma. But that's exactly where we are with Platonic (Apple TV+), in which Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne, as Will and Sylvia, bicker and bitch, fall out, fall in, and generally display all the hallmarks of an old-school married couple. But they are – and always will be, unless the show ultimately loses the plot – just good friends. Will and Sylvia are a couple you really are rooting for not to get together. To circle back to that opening question, boy does it feel good to land in a world where absolutely no one is grappling with a sense of their sexual identity. There is a place for all that, but it's become such a box-tick in modern comedy that it's now a cliché. Platonic, for all its witty barbs at the state of the world, plays a straight bat when it comes to relationships. We're in the second series now and the pattern (I'm being kind and not saying formula) is clear. Artisan craft brew master Will, a man-child with an unfortunate fondness for garish bucket hats, and Sylvia, a law graduate who gave up her career to be a full-time mother-of-three – yes, she's bitter – are so in tune with each other they could be twins. But closeness strikes sparks and the explosions come at regular intervals. Rogen and Byrne, both at the top of their game, have an absolute blast ripping into each other in spats that kick off playfully but invariably tip over into the spiteful, causing chaotic schisms in a friendship that gets patched up over and over. Because these two are meant to be together, just not together. It makes for an honest, fractious and totally believable portrayal of a male and female friendship, built around a plot that bounces through bar business bust ups, mid-life crises – Will is around two decades too old to dress the way he does, we all know one of those – and astutely observed takes on the ever widening generation gap between boomers, Gen-Z and whatever other label has popped up in the last five minutes. Everyone around Will and Sylvia gets jealous of their special relationship as a given, the comedy flip-flops between broad slapstick – in scenes oddly reminiscent of Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em, things inevitably go belly up whenever the pair get together – and the slyly subtle. A bed scene soundtracked by Brit indie band Wet Leg, I confess, tickled the schoolboy smutkid lurking inside me. There is breathing space, supplied by an enjoyable supporting cast in which Carla Gallo as Sylvia's sardonic female friend and Luke Macfarlane as her implausibly buff lawyer husband provide shades of light relief. You need that because being around Will and Sylvia can be both hilarious and exhausting; they're the kind of people you look forward to coming round, but who you breathe a huge sigh of relief when they leave. Don't we all need mates like that?

Princess of Wales launches video series to help parents with early childhood education

The Princess of Wales has launched a new video series to encourage families to share 'everyday moments of connection' with babies and young children, saying it matters 'more than ever in a rapidly changing world'. The Princess, who has worked with animators on the short films, has spoken of the need to raise a 'younger generation better equipped to face the future'. Those 'nurturing, loving interactions' with adults create the 'building blocks' to make young children grow up to be happy and healthy, she said. 'That is why we want to raise the awareness of, and celebrate, the extraordinary value of everyday moments of connection which matter more than ever in a rapidly changing world,' the Princess said. The seven animated films have been launched via her Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood, and are intended for use by charities, professionals working in early years, and families. The Princess joined two of the illustrators during a creative workshop hosted by the foundation in June, and is said to be 'closely involved' in, and extremely passionate about, the resulting films. They cover topics including how young children grow an emotionally healthy brain, noticing and navigating feelings, 'managing big feelings together', back and forth interactions, supporting early learning, and creating space for connection. 'Modern life can feel like it runs at a million miles an hour,' one states. 'Which is why as adults we can get used to doing everything fast. But babies and young children learn best when things slow down.' The films emphasise the importance of human interaction, as babies learn from their caregivers' expressions and voices. The advice does not specifically mention screens, but the animations spell out the importance of paying full attention to what young children are doing and communicating to 'make them feel safe and valued'. Speaking about the launch of the films, the Princess of Wales said: 'Early childhood has been recognised as the golden opportunity to build strong foundations for future life, health and happiness. 'The new animated films from the Centre of Early Childhood showcase how adults can create nurturing, loving interactions with children, helping to foster social and emotional development during their earliest years. 'These core social and emotional skills are essential in forming healthy relationships and are fundamental building blocks that can carry us through life. 'That is why we want to raise the awareness of, and celebrate, the extraordinary value of everyday moments of connection which matter more than ever in a rapidly changing world. 'Early childhood offers a sacred opportunity to transform our societies for the better and by nurturing these skills in our babies and children, we will be raising a younger generation better equipped to face the future.' The series, also available in Welsh and with British Sign Language, uses different styles of animation and is based on expertise from Prof Peter Fonagy and Prof Sam Wass, described as two of the country's leading figures in child development, and an advisory group of early childhood professionals. The centre will now work with universities, charities and professional bodies to add the films into training and practice across the country. They follow the Princess's Shaping Us Framework initiative, which was aimed at increasing awareness of social and emotional skills. Kensington Palace said the films were intended to show 'how everyday actions support the development of children in their earliest years, with warm, loving and responsive interactions with trusted adults shown to be particularly important in promoting positive brain development during this time'. While 94 per cent of the population believed that social and emotional skills are important for happiness in adult life, 42 per cent still had 'little or no idea about how these skills develop during early childhood', according to the Royal Foundation's Centre for Early Childhood's public perception survey last year.

Fashion designer, 33, celebrated launch of chic lifestyle brand at ritzy Hamptons resort before being found dead in boat at yacht club

A glamorous fashion designer who was found dead on a boat at a yacht club on Tuesday had recently celebrated the launch of her chic lifestyle brand at a ritzy Hamptons resort. Martha Nolan-O'Slatarra, 33, the founder of fashion label East x East, was found unconscious onboard a boat docked at the Montauk Yacht Club at around midnight. Good Samaritans attempted life saving measures, but East Hampton Town Police pronounced her dead at the scene. Her manner of death remains unclear and will be determined by the Suffolk County Medical Examiner's Office. But one boater at the scene described the ship, named Ripple, as a 'party boat' and told Daily Mail she heard screams everywhere. Nolan-O'Slatarra's death comes just weeks after she boated about the grand opening of her popup shop at Gurney's Montauk Resort and Seawater Spa. She shared a video of the shack housing her bikinis and beach wear on her TikTok page on July 1 as she encouraged the public to come visit. 'Goals Achieved' she wrote. Many in the wealthy enclave have now been left reeling as questions remain about what may have happened to the Manhattan resident, whom resident described to the New York Pos t as 'well-known in the community. 'She was very friendly, always smiling,' the local said. 'There's going to be a lot of conversation out of this.' Indeed, another regular at the Yacht Club claimed Nolan-O'Slatarra's boyfriend owns the boat - which is registered in Long Beach, New York - and told Daily Mail that whenever she saw the boat owner he would be 'drunk and always messed up.' As Nolan-O'Slattara fell unconscious Monday night, she said, the boat owner was seen running outside naked screaming as he tried to get help from other boaters. 'We come here (to Montauk) every summer and nothing like this ever happens,' the boater said. 'The police have been here all day since four in the morning.' As the investigation continued into the early hours of Wednesday, police officers were seen stopping guests at the Montauk Yacht Club - as the area was being cordoned off. But many in the upscale enclave continued their day as normal, lounging by the pool or dining at one of the Yacht Club's restaurants. They did not seem to have a care in the world, even as police officers and detectives in suits gathered on the dock. Violent crimes are unusual in the upscale Long Island beach and resort area that is known for its monstrous mansions and high-end dining. Influencers and celebrities often flock to the area, especially in the summer months. The Montauk Yacht club offers those beach-goers luxurious accommodations, including spa services, a pool, beach, harbor cruises, biking and yoga. Rooms at the famed club run for about $1,500 in the summertime and around $865 during other months. Celebrity makeup artist Patrick Ta even hosted an event there this past weekend that included a star studded guest list, including influencers Alix Earle and Remi Bader. Photos showed the glamourous influencers looking sun-kissed as they enjoyed cocktails and food at the yacht club. They were also seen overlooking the breathtaking marina which has now become a crime scene. There is no indication that the events hosted at the club this weekend are connected to the discovery on Tuesday morning.
