Former Rams QB named to All-UFL team as one of the league's top players
He made his first career start against the Chiefs in 2022, throwing one touchdown pass and two interceptions in a 26-10 loss on the road. It was the only touchdown pass of his NFL career thus far.

Though things haven't worked out for Perkins on the NFL, he could get another look this year after being voted the best quarterback in the UFL. On Monday, the All-UFL team was announced and Perkins got the nod as the top quarterback in the league.
He finished the regular season ranked fourth in the UFL with 1,342 yards passing, nine touchdown passes and only two interceptions despite only playing seven games. Another former Rams quarterback, Luis Perez, led the UFL with 2,298 yards passing in the 10 games he played.
Perkins is known for his mobility and electric running ability, though, which is where he did a lot of damage in the UFL. He finished 14th in the league with 269 yards on the ground, scoring five rushing touchdowns. He averaged 5.7 yards per attempt, with his longest run being a 31-yard scamper.

It's not unreasonable to think a team in the NFL could give Perkins another shot this summer after seeing him excel in the UFL. Even the Rams could give him an opportunity behind Matthew Stafford and Jimmy Garoppolo, letting him compete against Stetson Bennett for the third spot on the depth chart.
That ship has likely sailed for Sean McVay and the Rams' coaching staff but it's fun to see Perkins thriving in the spring league, nonetheless.

The network has decided to move on from a three-time Pro Bowler. Last week, CBS unveiled its game announcers for the 2025 regular season. As you'd expect, the ton names like Jim Nantz, Tony Romo and Ian Eagle will remain key contributors for the network. Former NFL running back Tiki Barber, however, was left off this list from CBS. He has been a game analyst for CBS since 2019, working alongside Andrew Catalon, Matt Ryan and a few other broadcasters. Matthew Stafford won't take part in Rams' joint practice with Cowboys
Sean McVay won't have to worry about Matthew Stafford catching a twice-tipped pass and stumbling over the goal line during a joint practice with the Dallas Cowboys. That anxiety-inducing event occurred last year when the Rams practiced against the Cowboys. On Tuesday, the Rams again travel to Oxnard to practice against the Cowboys before Saturday's preseason game at SoFi Stadium. When the Rams go through a jogthrough on Monday, Stafford will continue to work out on his own, McVay said Sunday after the final public workout at Loyola Marymount. 'He is able to do a little bit more, which is good, and things are progressing well,' McVay said. 'But he won't take part in the jogthrough because he'll be doing some other stuff during that time.' McVay said Stafford's workouts with trainers have included some static throwing exercises, running on a treadmill, light cardio and core work. 'It's more just functional strength surrounding the area while making sure that you don't do anything to set yourself back, based on the trajectory that he's doing,' McVay said. 'But we are looking forward to getting him and easing him back to football hopefully in the near future.'
