The video features visuals of IAF operations and describes the force with words such as 'unseen, unstoppable and unmatched.' Set to the powerful track "Aarambh hai prachand" by Piyush Mishra from the film Gulaal, the clip portrays the swift and precise nature of the IAF's aerial strikes.
Aircraft are depicted as "swift, lethal and agile," striking targets with "high precision".
The video was shared on the IAF's official handle on X, shortly after India's strong military response to cross-border terrorism allegedly backed by Pakistan.
Operation Sindoor was launched on May 7 as a strong response to Pakistan-sponsored terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam, in which 26 innocent people were killed.
The Indian Air Force carried out
precision strikes
on nine terror-linked locations in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir. Among the targets were the
headquarters in Bahawalpur and a key
site in Muridke, located deep inside mainland Pakistan.
After these strikes, Pakistan responded with shelling across the Line of Control and attempted drone attacks along border areas. In a coordinated retaliation, the Indian Air Force hit radar installations, communication hubs, and airbases at 11 locations inside Pakistan, these included high-value targets like - Nur Khan Airbase and Rahim Yar Khan Airbase.
The hostilities de-escalated on May 10 after both nations agreed to a ceasefire, though India has maintained that Operation Sindoor is "paused, not over."

Centre to focus on cyber preparedness of cities

The cyber attacks during 'Operation Sindoor' have brought the government's focus on cyber preparedness of Indian cities. The ministry of housing and urban affairs will hold a two-day brainstorming session with states next week in this regard, people aware of the matter told ET. The aim of the meeting will be to gauge whether cities are equipped to handle cyber attacks, how technological interventions and projects planned in 100 smart cities can help states in handling cyber terrorism, and whether the special purpose vehicles (SPVs) in cities could be repurposed to handle current urban governance and challenges, the people cited earlier said. For the first time since the beginning of the third term of the BJP-led NDA government, a meeting of urban development ministers will be held by Union minister Manohar Lal Khattar on July 17 to gauge the progress of flagship missions, including Swachh Bharat Mission, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and AMRUT. The conference will focus on financing of urban governance projects, challenges facing the state governments in urban development, making cities garbage-free, transport services and water security for cities. According to the sources, the main focus will be 'Making Cities Cyber Secure' on the second day of the programme. Live Events 'This is an emergency of sorts facing our cities. We need to equip them to ward off cyber attacks. This part will be anchored by ministry of electronics and information and technology and the home ministry,' a senior official, who did not wish to be named, told ET. The Smart Cities Mission , which has been wrapped up formally by the government, had seen technological interventions in 100 cities. All smart cities had established hi-tech command and control centres and several urban governance functions are being coordinated through these centres. 'These are nerve centres of a city. They are susceptible to cyber attacks but can also be used as centres to handle cyber terrorism. This is what the Centre's focus is – to equip them to handle such attacks,' the official said. The Intelligence Bureau will be conducting a training programme on 'Threat Landscape for cities' to brief the smart cities on what threats they could face. The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-IN) will help cities understand what cyber measures they could take to protect their installations. The Indian Crime Coordination Centre will brief the cities on measures to undertake to arrest cyber attacks. Similarly, the National Critical Information Infrastructure Protection Centre will be involved in the training programme of smart cities, the official cited earlier said. The government will also help smart cities in repurposing special purpose vehicles (SPVs) established in all cities to spearhead the Smart Cities Mission. 'The mission period may have ended but the SPVs have gathered expertise in handling big infrastructure projects. This can be channelised into handling projects even now. SPVs need to be repurposed and this is what the cities will do,' said the official.

Jammu and Kashmir LG Manoj Sinha: I take full onus for Pahalgam, was a security failure

File photo: J&K LG Manoj Sinha (Picture credit: PTI) LG Manoj Sinha, who completes five years at J&K Raj Bhavan, told TOI's Bharti Jain that the Pahalgam terror attack was a Pakistan-sponsored terror attack. 'The intention of the neighbour (Pakistan) was to create a communal divide. ' 'I take full responsibility for the incident, which was undoubtedly a security failure.' Excerpts from the interview: Has the Pahalgam attack shattered the myth that terrorism is on the wane in J&K? What happened in Pahalgam was very unfortunate; innocent people were brutally killed. I take full responsibility for the incident, which was undoubtedly a security failure. The common belief here has been that terrorists do not target tourists. The location where the attack took place is an open meadow. There is no facility or room for security forces to be present there. This was a Pakistan-sponsored terror attack. The arrests made by NIA in the case corroborate local involvement but it would still be wrong to conclude that the security environment in J&K stands completely vitiated. The attack was a debilitating and deliberate strike on the nation's soul. The intention of the neighbour (Pakistan) was to create a communal divide and trigger a backlash against the people of J&K living in other parts of the country, adding to the feeling of alienation. Pakistan doesn't want J&K to be peaceful and prosperous. In the past five years, the J&K economy's size has doubled. Tourists have been flocking in high numbers. This (attack) was a hit by Pakistan at the economic well-being of Kashmir. But condemnation and protests by the people of Kashmir following the attack provided a befitting reply to Pakistan and terror outfits. They were clear signs that terrorism is not acceptable here anymore. There has been no attack in J&K since Operation Sindoor. Do you think this will hold? Operation Sindoor has drawn red lines for Pakistan. India has made it clear that any terror attack will be considered an act of war. The manner in which our forces carried out precise hits against terror facilities in Pakistan, and when it tried to target our military and civilian assets, how they destroyed their airbases, conveyed a stern message to Pakistan. Still, a country that has made terrorism its declared state policy, is not to be trusted. I am confident that the home ministry, defence ministry and our intelligence agencies are keeping a watch on Pakistan. But it is a fact that there has been no terror attack in J&K after Operation Sindoor. Is local involvement in Pahalgam attack a worry for security agencies? Local terror recruitment is at an all-time low. There has been just one incident of local recruitment this year as compared to 6 to 7 last year; there was a time when this figure used to be 150-200. But it is also a fact that Pakistan has facilitated the infiltration of a large number of terrorists in both Jammu region and Kashmir region. How has the Pahalgam incident impacted tourism in J&K? Tourist arrivals had almost stopped after the Pahalgam incident. We believed that the Amarnath yatra would be turning point. What is the status on tourist destinations closed after Pahalgam attack? We have already opened many. Others will be opened too in a phased manner. This is being done after finalising a robust security plan for each one of them.

Brahmos instrumental in Op Sindoor: Rajnath

Lucknow: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday said that the Brahmos missile proved instrumental in Operation Sindoor and since then, more than a dozen countries have expressed interest in it. Singh said this at an event in Lucknow where he unveiled a statue of former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Chandra Bhanu Gupta at the National PG College and released a postage stamp in tribute to him. "Just a few days ago, I inaugurated a Brahmos airspace integration and testing facility in Lucknow. You must have seen that in Operation Sindoor, Brahmos missile has done a miraculous job and not only this, after the miracle shown by Brahmos missile, about 14-15 countries of the world have demanded Brahmos missile from India," Singh said. "Brahmos missile will now be exported from Lucknow as well. I believe that this facility will strengthen our country's self-reliance in the defence sector, and at the same time, it will also create employment. My effort is that more industries should also come here so that, along with Lucknow, the state also develops rapidly," he said. The minister claimed that UP was attracting more and more industries on the back of strong law and order and infrastructural robustness. "Historical changes are taking place in infrastructure. Expressway, airport, metro, medical college, all these are presenting a new picture of development," he said. Singh, who is the Lok Sabha MP from Lucknow, also showered praise on Chandra Bhanu Gupta, who served as the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh for three terms. "Chandra Bhanu Gupta ji started as a simple worker in the freedom movement and made a place in the hearts of millions of people through his sacrifice, commitment and leadership. Chandra Bhanu Gupta's life tells us that power does not mean only position or authority, but responsibility, sacrifice and protecting the interests of the public. "His life also gives us the message that there may be differences in politics, but there should not be animosity," he said. Singh, who is also a former UP CM, said the postage stamp was not only a tribute to Chandra Bhanu Gupta, but also a tribute to his "high life values." "It is a message that service, simplicity and honesty have been important in Indian politics and will remain important in the future too," he said. Singh said Chandra Bhanu Gupta's vision and agenda were never regional, always nationalistic. "Chandra Bhanu ji was not in power for very long (time). But in the short time he was in power, he gave priority to public welfare works. He was always known for his integrity," he said. Lucknow Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday highlighted the significance of the newly inaugurated BrahMos Aerospace integration and testing facility in Lucknow, calling it a major step toward strengthening India's self-reliance in the defence sector. "Just a few days ago, I inaugurated the integration and testing facility of BrahMos Aerospace in Lucknow. This facility will strengthen our country's self-reliance in the defence sector and also create employment," Singh said at a public event in Lucknow. Singh commended Uttar Pradesh for the improved law and order situation, which he said is encouraging investments and industrial growth. "Historical changes are taking place in infrastructure. Expressway, airport, metro, medical college—all these are presenting a new picture of development," the Defence minister added. Singh also unveiled a statue of former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Chandra Bhanu Gupta and also released a commemorative postage stamp in his honour. He praised Gupta's contributions to public life and his enduring legacy.
