Now, Anderson a three-time Grammy winner and one half of soul group Silk Sonic with Bruno Mars, has raised eyebrows about their potential relationship.
While participating in a game to guess songs being played on the podcast Track Star, Anderson beamed from ear to ear when Mariah's song, Always Be My Baby, began to play.
Track Star host, Jack Coyne, then instructed the musician to open up his jacket and show the t-shirt he was wearing underneath.
Anderson revealed the shirt was emblazoned with a black-and-white image of his rumored girlfriend.
He correctly guessed the song saying: "This would be Mariah Carey. The Mariah Carey.
"I remember like, fifth grade or something, just watching the music video and having a huge crush."
When Jack then asked if he and Mariah would ever work on music together, Anderson revealed: "We're working on some music. On her new album."
The drummer's reaction to hearing a Mariah song did not go unnoticed by music fans who reacted in the comments section of the video posted to Instagram.
"The way he smiled for ear to ear at the mention of Mariah 😍," wrote one person.
Another added: "Paak rocking the Mariah shirt!"
Carson Daly slammed for 'horrible' treatment of Mariah Carey in resurfaced TRL clip as fans demand apology
And a third wrote: "Track Star breaking news re: Paak and Mariah."
The famous musicians reportedly developed a "flirty connection" while working together.
"Mariah and Anderson have been hanging out for months, and have a flirty connection," a source told The Sun in December.
"But he has a reputation as a ladies' man in Hollywood and is still legally married to his wife."
Anderson filed for divorce from Korean musician Jae Lin, in January 2024 after 12 years of marriage.
The former couple share two children; Soul, 13, and Shine, six, and court documents show Anderson has requested joint legal custody.
The U.S. Sun understands Mariah and Anderson first began working together around June - when Anderson posted a video of the pair at Electric Lady Studios in New York.
He admitted in the clip, which was shared to TikTok, that he was blown away by working with her.
Anderson said: "You ever been starstruck, like when a star strikes you, that what it was. [But] I couldn't just like freeze up, we had to get in the studio and just make some [music]."
Mariah was then pictured celebrating Halloween at Anderson's new West Hollywood bar, Andy's, in an Instagram photo shared to the venue's official account.
She went all out wearing a sexy rubber cat outfit and was seen playfully touching the face of a man believed to be Anderson dressed up as Daft Punk.
The stars were seen hand-in-hand at Catch Steak in Aspen before Christmas, with Mariah dressed to impress in a tweed skirt, knee-high boots, and a white shirt.
She covered up in the cold in a giant matching brown tweed coat with fur lining.
Anderson also posted Mariah on Instagram back in November.
He wrote: 'WE HAD A THRILLER NIGHT TO SAY THE LEAST! BIG SHOUTS TO EVERYBODY WHO CAME OUT TO @andys_weho FIRST EVER HALLOWEEN PARTY! IT WAS A STONE GROOOVE JACK!! SEE YAH NEXT YEAR!'
After their cozy meet-up last year, sources told TMZ the pair are not dating but have been in the studio again in Aspen.
The U.S. Sun reached out to Mariah and Anderson's reps for comment but did not hear back.
Mariah was previously married to American businessman Tommy Mottola from 1993 to 1998.
She later wed Nick Cannon in 2008, and they welcomed twins Monroe and Moroccan in 2011, but they split up in 2014.
Mariah was also previously engaged to Australian billionaire James Packer and in 2024 split from dancer Brian Tanaka after seven years together.

Sisters Rachael Gillespie, 22, and Nicole , 24, from Edinburgh, queued from 7am and were the first through the door to claim the tickets. Rachael said: 'We're so happy to have won the tickets. We got here super early because we missed out on both pre-sale and general sale. 'It was an amazing day and we made friends with plenty of other Lewis Capaldi fans.' Nicole added: 'We were devastated when we missed out on tickets so this is the most amazing feeling.' Greggs had 125 pairs of tickets on offer - with 25 each to be won at events in Glasgow, Salford, London, Birmingham and Sheffield. Some punters looked the spitting image of the chart-topper - who stormed back to number one with new single Survive this month after bravely battling back from the health issues that forced him to end his Glastonbury gig early two years ago. Capaldi is a well known fan of Greggs and shocked fans in 2019 when he got behind the counter at a Middlesbrough outlet wearing the full uniform, including hairnet, while claiming to be on work experience. Ruth Johnston, 26, and Emily Philp, 21, from Howwood, made their own body suits for the occassion and led singalongs as they got into character. Emily said: 'We're both massive fans. I met him once at a signing as well. Lewis Capaldi opens up about his return to the Glastonbury stage "I love his music and everything about him - especially how down to earth he is.' Ruth added: 'I think we were number 30,000 in the queue when we tried to get tickets so this was the only way. 'We knew we had to go all out and I think we were able to draw on the confidence of Lewis Capaldi by dressing up as him.' Our man gets his Lewis look on BY COLAN LAMONT LEWIS Capaldi has a hit song called Grace - but I showed anything but trying to dress up as the superstar. While fans made getting ready for the Greggs lookalike contest look like a piece of cake, I was still busy learning how stop the towel on my head from falling off. Thankfully, I was in the one spot in Glasgow where looking like I'd just got out of the shower wasn't an issue. I was very impressed by the lengths some punters had gone to in an effort to win tickets for his gigs. If I get the opportunity to cosplay Capaldi again, I hope I'll look like less of a pie in the process. Gran Heather Todd, 67, from Fauldhouse, even got caught up in the excitement by recreating Capaldi's iconic towel pose. The pensioner is a big fan and wanted to do whatever it too to help her grandaughter Mollie and her friend Amie Gibb, both 13, go to their dream gig. She said: 'It was good fun and I was happy to help the girls win tickets to see their favourite singer.'

Ozzy Osbourne's rarely seen children now and reason they stayed out of limelight
Aimee Osbourne is the eldest child of Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne, but unlike her famous parents and siblings, she has always opted to stay out of the media glare Unlike her celebrity parents, Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, and her siblings Kelly and Jack, Aimee Osbourne has steadfastly maintained a low profile, avoiding the limelight. Her father and Black Sabbath frontman, Ozzy, passed away on July 22 as his family confirmed the heartbreaking news with an official statement. In the heartbreaking statement, Ozzy's family said: "It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. "He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time. Sharon, Jack, Kelly, Aimee and Louis." Ozzy's passing occurred just weeks following Black Sabbath's final farewell performance. The 76 year old rocker had been battling Parkinson's disease since his diagnosis in 2019. The Osbournes burst into our living rooms in 2002, offering MTV audiences an inside look at the chaotic household of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne's children, Kelly, 39, and Jack, 38. Yet many viewers remained unaware that Celebrity Big Brother star Sharon and Black Sabbath legend Ozzy had another offspring - Aimee, now 41. Whilst her younger siblings embraced the celebrity status that came with The Osbournes' popularity, Aimee chose anonymity, leaving the family residence at 16 when they embarked on their reality television journey. "I'm not some weirdo depressed daughter that's afraid of the world and locks herself in her room all day; I just didn't choose to do the show," Aimee has openly stated on American television. "I want to be a singer, and I felt if I'd stayed with the Osbournes and done the whole thing I would have been typecast right away. [Mum] was hurt and we definitely had a tough time with disagreements. I'm more reserved and my private life is very important." Aimee made the bold decision to step out of the spotlight at just 16, as her family's reality show began filming, a move that Sharon Osbourne has since expressed regret over. Now 41, Aimee seems to be opening up more about her personal life, often sharing updates on her musical projects via Instagram. This June, Aimee was seen leaving a Manchester hotel alongside Wes Leavins from the band Bridgette Calls Me Baby, sparking rumours of a new romance while the band tours the UK. Last year, she marked a significant milestone in her career with an emotional Instagram post, reflecting on her first recording session at the iconic Abbey Road Studios. She encouraged her fans to keep pushing forward despite a year filled with 'heartbreak and twists and turns'. Under the moniker ARO, Aimee released her latest song, Siren, in collaboration with Fjora Music in November 2024. Her debut single, Raining Gold, was launched in 2015. Aimee has openly shared her desire to have stayed at home longer, and Sharon has revealed the pain she felt when her eldest daughter moved out. Sharon, 72, opened up about her daughter's aversion to the limelight on The Talk in 2018, revealing: "She felt too that she didn't want to grow up on camera. She hated the idea - it was appalling to her," and added with regret, "And so she left at 16 and I regret every day that she did. It broke my heart when she moved." While Aimee continues to pursue her musical dreams, her relationship with sister Kelly has unfortunately deteriorated over time. Speaking frankly in a 2021 interview, Kelly confirmed their estrangement on Dax Shepard's Armchair Expert podcast, saying: "We don't talk," and explained: "We're just really different. She doesn't understand me and I don't understand her." This followed Aimee's own reflections on their sibling dynamic back in 2015 during an interview with The Independent, where she admitted: "I wouldn't say there is an ease between us, but there is an acceptance. Do we socialise? No." Ozzy also had three children from his first marriage to Thelma Riley as the pair welcomed daughters Jessica and Louis. The music legend then adopted Thelma's son Elliott. Each of the children have largely remained out of the public eye, avoiding the rock‑star spotlight and media glare. Their low‑profile lives reflect a deliberate choice to stay private as Ozzy's world of fame, controversy, and chaos unfolded around them. Despite growing up amidst Black Sabbath tours and tabloid headlines, Jessica and Louis, along with adopted brother Elliott, have pursued ordinary paths, and Ozzy seldom discussed them in interviews, emphasising their right to privacy. The decision to lead private lives has made them among the most mysterious members of his family, loved by their father from afar, but shielded from fame.

Ozzy Osbourne dies two weeks after final Black Sabbath reunion concert
The heavy metal singer – who was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2019 – was reunited with fellow original Sabbath members Tony Iommi, Terence 'Geezer' Butler and Bill Ward on stage for a final performance on July 5. Just over two weeks later Osbourne's family announced his death at the age of 76. — Ozzy Osbourne (@OzzyOsbourne) July 21, 2025 The heavy metal band were the last to appear on stage as part of a star-studded line-up for the Back to the Beginning concert at Villa Park, Birmingham, not far from the Crown pub where they played their first gig in 1968. At the start of his solo performance, Osbourne entered the stage by rising on a large black throne through a trap door, wearing his signature black attire and thick eye make-up. He started the set by saying: 'Let me hear you. Are you ready? Let the madness begin!' Later, he told the crowd: 'It's so good to be on this f****** stage. You have no idea. I f****** love you all. Let me see your hands in the air. You are the best, each and every one of you. God bless you all.' In an emotional moment, he added: 'I don't know what to say, man, I've been laid up for, like, six years. You have no idea how I feel – thank you from the bottom of my heart. 'You're all f****** special. Let's go crazy, come on.' The rocker sang five songs in his own set, with fans waving torches from their phones during Mama, I'm Coming Home. He finished his performance with Crazy Train, before confetti rained over a packed Villa Park. After a short break, he re-entered the stage to join the rest of Black Sabbath for the first time in 20 years. The band performed some of their greatest hits, ending with a rendition of Paranoid. Fans chanted 'Ozzy, Ozzy, Ozzy' as the rock great thanked and blew kisses to those in attendance, before departing in an emotional ending to cap an illustrious career on stage. In one of the messages displayed before his performance, Sir Elton John told Osbourne: 'You are one of the most remarkable singers of our time. 'You are the king, you are the legend. You've been through so much crap in the last few years – I hope this is the best day of your life so far.' Personal videos from dozens of fans were also broadcast at the event, in which they credited Osbourne and Black Sabbath for inventing heavy metal and thanked them for their generational influence on music. After the live performance, Osbourne and his wife Sharon celebrated the engagement of their daughter Kelly with her long-term partner Sid Wilson, a member of the heavy metal band Slipknot. Kelly Osbourne, 40, posted a video on Instagram in which family and friends gather backstage before Wilson, 48, grabs her hand and tells her: 'Kelly, you know I love you more than anything in the world.' Ozzy Osbourne, sitting in a chair behind them, quips: 'F*** off, you are not marrying my daughter!' The room bursts into laughter before Wilson drops to one knee and asks her to marry him. In another Instagram post, she thanked her father's fans for attending his last live performance. She wrote: 'To say that yesterday was magic was an understatement! 'Thank you to everyone who came to support my dad. Thank you to the fans who without we are nothing! 'My dad got his moment in the sun! He was able to say thank you and good bye in the most beautiful way!'
