Alex Warren Makes No ‘Ordinary' Award Show Debut at the 2025 AMAs
Taking the stage in Las Vegas late in the show, the TikToker expertly built up the momentum while singing live for the first time ever on an award show, starting out soft as he tenderly crooned the romantic ballad while joined by a gorgeous harp accompaniment. As the song crescendoed, a large choir appeared behind him on stage, adding body to the song before a wall of fiery sparks lit up the background in sync with the track's most climactic moment.

'You're taking me out of the ordinary/ I want you laying me down 'til we're dead and buried,' Warren sang, passion showing in his facial expressions. 'On the edge of your knife, staying drunk on your vine/ The angels up in the clouds are jealous knowing we found/ Something so out of the ordinary.'
The performance comes as 'Ordinary' is spending its third week at No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200, a feat that reflects just how much the track has taken the world by storm in recent months. It also reached a new peak at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart dated May 10.
While riding the success of 'Ordinary,' Warren has been preparing his next album, which will feature new song 'Bloodline' featuring Jelly Roll, which dropped May 22. The duo first premiered the track at the country star's Stagecoach set in April.
This year, the AMAs were hosted by Jennifer Lopez, featuring awards such as artist, song and album of the year. Kendrick Lamar had the most nominations with 10 total, followed by Post Malone with eight, and Billie Eilish, Chappell Roan and Shaboozey with seven.
The American Music Awards are produced by Dick Clark Productions, which is owned by Penske Media Eldridge, a joint venture between Eldridge Industries and Billboard parent company Penske Media.
