Julia Garner Does Method Dressing With Thom Browne in Silver Surfer-inspired Dress for ‘Fantastic Four' London Red Carpet
Garner's look came courtesy of Thom Browne's spring 2017 ready-to-wear collection, which debuted as part of New York Fashion Week in September 2016. The dress featured an asymmetrical silhouette, with a formfitting bodice and one long sleeve. The skirt of the dress flowed down in a column shape. While the original design featured a suited shirt, tie and waistcoat, Garner stripped the look back with sheer fabric and a soft gray peekaboo bra layering element.

Thom Brown took inspiration from Slim Aarons and David Hockney for his spring 2017 ready-to-wear collection, notable for capturing images and the aesthetic appeal of poolside luxury, per Bridget Foley's WWD review of the collection.
'The clothes proved perfect for this midsummer's day dream sequence. They weren't suits and separates at all, but one-piece dresses elaborately conceived and executed to trick the eye,' Foley wrote. 'They utilized every tailoring and dressmaker technique imaginable to stitch together pretend multipiece outfits that riffed on just about every polished, upper-crust sartorial trope imaginable.'
Garner regularly collaborates with stylist Elizabeth Saltzman, who dressed the actress during her time at the Cannes Film Festival in May. Her hair was coiffed by Bobby Eliot with makeup by Zoë Taylor.
'The Fantastic Four: First Steps' follows the titular heroes, played by Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn and Ebon Moss-Bachrach, as they defend Earth from Galactus and the Silver Surfer, played by Garner. The film hits theaters July 25.

The 38-year-old had a thought-provoking response to recent criticism over a past diary entry in which she admitted to having sex with seven partners by the age of 20—a private confession that was leaked to the public by Italian police after she and then-boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito were first accused of her roommate Meredith Kercher's murder in 2007. In the old journal entry shared to X July 15, Knox—who was in the midst of being interrogated by authorities over Kercher's killing at the time—listed everyone she had been intimate with after being wrongly informed by police that she had contracted HIV. "I don't know where I could have gotten HIV from," she wrote. "Here is the list of people I've had sex with in general." Now, looking back at her diary, Knox wrote on X July 15, "After years of being vilified as a deviant sex monster, I couldn't help but internalize some of that shame, despite the fact that I knew there was nothing wrong with my sexuality (which was actually quite vanilla)." Knox and Sollecito were convicted of Kercher's murder in 2009, before being acquitted and retried in a 2011 proceeding that she was also convicted in. The pair maintained their innocence throughout their incarceration, and were exonerated of all charges by Italy's highest court in 2015 after deeming the evidence contradictory and the investigation flawed from the start. In 2019, the European Court of Human Rights ruled that Knox's original interrogation by police violated her human rights and ordered the Italian legal system should pay her $20,000. While testifying in front of the European Court of Human Rights, Knox—whose complicated case has since been documented in the 2016 Netflix movie Amanda Knox—provided further insight into why the police interrogation was her "worst nightmare" while being questioned in a language she "barely knew." "When I couldn't remember the details, one of the officers gave me a little smack on the head and shouted, 'remember, remember,'" Knox—who is a mother to two children with husband Christopher Robinson—said in court in 2019, per NBC News. "And then I put together a jumble of memories and the police made me sign a statement. I was forced to submit. It had been a violation of my rights." Daytime clubbing event coming to Southampton
A national daytime clubbing event has announced a date for Southampton. Day Fever will be hosting an event at the O2 Guildhall on September 13, from 3pm to 8pm. The event series was launched in 2024 by actress Vicky McClure, filmmaker and broadcaster Jonny Owen, Jon McClure, frontman of Reverend & The Makers, brother Chris McClure and Sheffield businessman James O'Hara. It has become a cultural sensation and is set for its biggest month yet. Jon said: "It started as a WhatsApp idea. "Jonny just said, 'A daytime disco, how good would that be?' "We're all a bit nuts, so we just said, 'Come on then!'" Robert Eggers' Werwulf Gets Promising Update From Casting Call
A new report from World of Reel has given fans a update, including a promising look at when we might know who will star in Robert Eggers' highly anticipated next film. According to World of Reel's report and a UK casting call sheet, Werwulf will begin filming this September in Elstree, England. This means casting for the film is likely already underway, and we might know more information sooner rather than later. According to a Q&A Eggers took part in at the Lincoln Center, the director himself said that his upcoming Werwulf will be the 'darkest thing' he's ever written. The movie is currently slated to release on December 25, 2026. Details for the project are mostly unknown as of now, but the project will be set in 13th-century England, and much like Eggers' other projects, will feature dialogue and settings accurate to the period. Original rumors suggested the film would be in black and white, according to THR, but that won't be the case. Prior to the announcement of Werwulf, rumors suggested that Eggers had been tapped to direct a new Labyrinth movie. Eggers himself has also spoken about wanting to make a medieval movie known right now as The Knight, as well as one day hoping to make a Western film. He's also been rumored to be working on a miniseries about Grigori Rasputin, the Russian mystic and faith healer. The cast of Werwulf is also unknown as of now, but Eggers did mention during the Nosferatu press tour that he had asked Willem Dafoe to be in two of his next movies.
