CNN finds itself in ‘hot water' for promoting controversial ICE tracking app

Sky News AU5 hours ago
Sky News host James Macpherson says television network CNN has landed itself in 'hot water' with the White House for promoting an app called ICEBlock.
The new app informs people of the locations of Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in real time.
'Nothing says journalistic integrity quite like handing out a digital map to help people dodge the law,' Mr Macpherson said.
'The network reported on the app as if it were the next big thing in community safety.'

Labor slammed for ‘bizarre backflip' in latest blow to antisemitism crisis

Sky News host Danica De Giorgio says Labor has been 'missing in action' on antisemitism since October 7, 2023 – and has been 'flip flopping' ever since. Creative Australia has controversially reinstalled artist Khaled Sabsabi to represent Australia on the world stage at the esteemed 2026 Venice Biennale art festival. 'Trying to keep the Muslim vote on side – rarely throwing a bone to the Jewish Australian community - and in the rare occasions it does, it's only when it's politically convenient,' Ms De Giorgio said. 'And now we have another example of Labor's breathtaking incompetency when it comes to our values.'

‘Hugely successful': Donald Trump praised for ‘dealing with' Iran

Former foreign minister Alexander Downer says US President Donald Trump has proved 'hugely successful' in dealing with the Iranians. This comes amid Foreign Affairs Minister Penny Wong's trip to the United States. 'I don't think she is right; I don't think President Trump envisages a different role for the US,' Mr Downer told Sky News host Danica De Giorgio. 'He's dealing with a coalition of countries … Russia, China, Iran, and also, one should include North Korea. 'He's proved hugely successful in dealing with Iran.'
