Caught On Cam: Man Dies At Milan Airport After Being Sucked Into Jet's Engine
A 34-year-old man died after being pulled into a Volotea aircraft engine at Milan Bergamo Airport. He was not a passenger and had a history of drug problems.
35-year-old man was killed after being 'sucked" into the engine of a plane earlier this week. As per the latest development into the matter, the police sources said that the man, identified as Corriere della Sera, was recovering from history of drug problems and was trying to 'rebuild his life'.
The tragic incident occurred Tuesday morning as a plane operated by Spanish carrier Volotea was preparing for departure to Asturias in northwestern Spain, according to news report.
As per a report by People, Russo broke into a restricted area on the runway at Milan airport and allegedly an into the engine of a Volotea Airlines jet. He threw himself into one of the jet's turbofan.
The airport sources quoted by the local media outlets mentioned that the man ran onto the tarmac while the aircraft was taxiing and was fatally sucked into one of its engines. The incident was caught on camera and the footage shows Russo running towards the plane after breaking free from border police officers.
The individual, who was not a passenger or affiliated with the airline, was described as 'seriously injured" in an initial statement from Volotea. The airline confirmed that all 154 passengers and six crew members on board were unharmed and were being offered psychological support.
Authorities have launched an investigation to determine how the man managed to access the restricted airside area.

Man, two daughters killed as truck hits motorcycle
Pune, July 27 (PTI) A 37-year-old man and his two minor daughters were killed after their motorcycle was knocked down by a truck in Baramati city in Pune district on Sunday, police said. The deceased, Omkar Acharya, was returning home in the morning after picking up one of his daughters from a school when the incident occurred in Khandoba Nagar area. 'Acharya picked up his daughter Saee (10) from her school. He, Saee, and his other daughter Madhura (4) were returning home on the motorcycle when a dumper truck hit the bike from behind while attempting to overtake," said a police officer. The trio fell off the bike and sustained serious injuries. They were rushed to a hospital, where doctors declared them dead on arrival, he said. Police arrest key accused in 2014 Bejai shootout linked to Ravi Pujari gang
Mangaluru (Karnataka), Jul 27 (PTI) A fugitive accused in the 2014 shootout at Bharati Builders' office in Bejai, Mangaluru– allegedly orchestrated by associates of underworld gangster Ravi Pujari–has been arrested after nearly a decade on the run, police said on Sunday. Acting on reliable inputs and under the guidance of the City Police Commissioner, a team from Urwa Police Station, including Inspector Venugopal and constables Pramod, Narayan, and Govindraj, apprehended the accused Ganesh Sakat in Pandharpur, Maharashtra, Police said in a release. Sakat was produced before the court, and has been remanded to judicial custody, it said. The case, registered at Urwa Police Station, under sections 447 (Criminal trespass), 120(B) (criminal conspiracy), 307 (attempt to murder) of the Indian Penal Code and Section 27 of the Arms Act. The accused, a native of Karad in Maharashtra's Satara district, had been absconding since 2015 after failing to appear before the JMFC 3rd Court in Mangaluru, which subsequently issued a warrant for his arrest. Police revealed that the accused is also wanted in another case registered at Kavoor Police Station. Additionally, he faces charges under the Arms Act in Karad, Maharashtra. Spanish Teen Being Investigated Over Nude AI Images Of Classmates
Spanish police said Sunday they were investigating a 17-year-old on suspicion of using artificial intelligence to deepfake nude images of female classmates for sale. The probe was launched after 16 young women at an educational institute in the Valencia region came forward to complain of AI-generated images of them circulating on social media and the internet. The first complaint was lodged in December by an adolescent who said an AI-generated video and faked photos resembling her "completely naked" were posted on a social media account started under her name. As more accusations came in, police suspected the images were the work of a student in the same institute, according to a statement by the police. Tracking the IP addresses used to create the bogus accounts led them to the home of the 17-year-old now under investigation on suspicion of corruption of minors. It is not the first time that Spanish authorities have detected AI-created pornographic images of minors. The government in March said it would put forward a law to treat such deepfaked sexual imagery created by AI without consent as a crime. The bill, which Madrid claims to be a first in Europe, has yet to be passed by the parliament.
