
6-year-old on bike hit by car in Saint-Michel
A six-year-old child is in hospital with a serious head injury after being hit by a car while riding his bike near Ovila-Légaré Park.
Montreal police say the child's injuries are not life-threatening.
Officers received a 911 call around 12:30 p.m. Saturday about a collision between a vehicle and a cyclist.
A 69-year-old man was driving a minivan on Ovila-Légaré Street toward 51rst Street in the Saint-Michel neighbourhood when the child crossed the street on his bike.
Initial information indicates that the boy popped out between two cars, hit the ground hard, and was not wearing a helmet.
Police say alcohol and speed did not play a part in the collision.

Motorcyclist dies after collision in eastern New Brunswick
A motorcyclist has died following a two-vehicle collision in eastern New Brunswick over the weekend. A 36-year-old man from Riverview has died following a two-vehicle collision near Saint-Louis-de-Kent, N.B., early Sunday morning. The RCMP responded to a report of a collision involving a car and a motorcycle on Route 11 between Exit 75 and Exit 64 near Saint-Charles around 3:10 a.m. Police believe the crash happened when a car, which was travelling southbound on Route 11, hit a motorcycle travelling in the same direction. The motorcyclist died at the scene. The driver of the car was taken to hospital with what is believed to be non-life-threatening injuries. The Richibucto Fire Department, Ambulance New Brunswick, and a member of the New Brunswick Coroner's Office also attended the scene. Both lanes of Route 11 were closed for several hours. Restaurant damaged after shots fired in Toronto's Yorkville neighbourhood

According to police, officers were called to Avenue and Davenport roads for reports of the sound of gunshots. Police arrived to find evidence of gunfire at the scene and damage to an area restaurant. No injuries were reported and police say the investigation is ongoing.
