Diddy kids share blunt response to verdict after supporting through grim trial

Daily Mirror2 days ago
Diddy's family have spoken out after he was cleared of the most serious charges.
When asked how his dad was, Diddy's son, Christian, known professionally as King Combs, responded: "Great," while his daughters added: "Good, happy." The hip hop mogul had been found not guilty of racketeering and of sex trafficking former girlfriend Cassie Ventura and another woman referred to as 'Jane.' As the verdict, decided by eight men and four women, acquitted him of the most serious counts, he dropped to the floor.
But he was found guilty of transportation to engage in prostitution, relating to Ventura and Jane. During the two-month trial, the court heard how Diddy flew people around the country, including his girlfriends and paid male sex workers, to engage in sexual encounters, a felony violation of the federal Mann Act.
However, he was acquitted of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking charges, relating to allegations that he forced his former girlfriends into drug-fuelled sex encounters, which had been known as 'freak offs.'
Shortly before the verdicts were delivered following days of deliberation, Diddy asked the courtroom to pray for his family, and this was received with applause. When the news was delivered, he fell to his knees, with his head down in his chair, appearing to pray after avoiding the strongest sentence – life in prison for the highest charge.
Diddy's family, who had supported him throughout the case, clapped and cheered. His defence lawyers hugged one another, and Diddy then stopped and embraced his lawyer, Brian Steel. The mixed result came on day three of deliberations.
Throughout the ongoing trial, Diddy had pleaded not guilty to all allegations made against him. Diddy appeared overwhelmed as the court adjourned for at le

Danny Dyer and Louis Tomlinson among famous faces at Oasis' Cardiff comeback

Friday, July 4, 2025, will go down as one of the biggest nights in British music history as Oasis graced a live stage for the first time in 16 years. The Mancunian Britpop heroes formed in Burnage in the early 1990s and quickly became—for better or worse—the defining band of their generation. But singer-songwriter brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher had a famously frosty relationship, and the band shockingly split when Noel quit in August 2009. After waging a cold war in the press for more than a decade, the two siblings kissed and made up in 2024 and announced a string of live dates for summer 2025. The Oasis Live 25 Tour kicked off in Cardiff on Friday night, with the 75,000 tickets sold at the Principality Stadium among the hottest in the world right now. But it's not just regular folks who've descended on the Welsh capital for a bit of the action—half a dozen famous faces have been spotted in the crowd as well. 📝| 'Louis is a huge Oasis fan and has been extremely open about failing to secure tickets in the queue. He's said to have found himself on tonight's guestlist, which promises to be one of the most exciting concerts in music history.'— The Mirror can reveal that the cheeky… — World Tomlinson (@LouisWT91World) July 4, 2025 The first to pop up was This Is England actress Vicky McClure, who joined the BBC's live coverage of the build-up to the Oasis gig and then went to grab a spot in the crowd. From the BBC itself, Radio 2 host Vernon Kay popped along, despite being called a 'lanky b*****d' by Liam Gallagher himself during a tense meeting between the two years ago. And MailOnline photographers spotted Gavin & Stacey star Rob Brydon in the crowd, with the Welsh actor not having to go too far from home to see his musical heroes. But stealing the headlines were none other than actor Danny Dyer, who was spotted in Cardiff earlier on Friday, and former One Direction singer Louis Tomlinson. Danny opted for dark sunglasses and a moustache to keep his identity a secret, but fans still managed to spot him walking along a road near the stadium. He was seen wearing a smart casual navy blue jacket as he walked alongside a friend (or bodyguard), with hundreds of onlookers none the wiser. And reports in The Mirror earlier today speculated that Walls hitmaker and Oasis superfan Louis had managed to secure himself a spot on the guest list. Louis had apparently tried and failed, along with thousands of others, to get his hands on those prized tickets earlier last year when they went on sale. He said at the time: 'I didn't [get tickets]. I was in the queue, but I never got a number. I did try. I did try. I have my fingers crossed.' Fellow musician Serge Pizzorno—of the Leicester-based rock band Kasabian—was also apparently spotted by reports, with Kasabian owing a lot to the Manchester band. Everton FC's manager, Sean Dyche, also sat on the BBC's sofa outside the Principality Stadium before taking his place among the thousands witnessing history. And it seems he set a bit of a trend, as fellow Premier League boss Nuno Espirito Santo, in charge at Nottingham Forest, was also rumoured by The Sun to be in attendance on Friday. At the gig, Oasis rolled back the years by playing some of their biggest hits, with some fans in Cardiff reckoning Liam sounded 'biblical' and better than ever. @ShaneRyanOneil exclaimed: 'Liam hasn't sounded this good in years. Biblical,' while @Jahvasconcelos said: 'Liam's voice sounds absolutely BIBLICAL. Unbeliveable.' More Trending The two brothers held hands as they walked onto the stage in Cardiff, with their gesture being greeted by huge cheers from the over 70,000-strong crowd. Bang on 8:15pm, Noel and Liam launched into their tune Hello, which opened their second album (What's the Story) Morning Glory? all those years ago. After this, they went into Acquiesce – which originally appeared as the B-side to Oasis' first number-one single Some Might Say, in 1995. The words 'This is not a drill' appeared on the screen in giant letters, with the crowd—decked out in Mancunian bucket hats, sunglasses, and Oasis merch—sending cups flying by jumping in the air. Sean ‘Diddy' Combs faces growing wave of civil suits as criminal trial ends

After two months, the federal sex-trafficking and racketeering conspiracy trial of Sean 'Diddy' Combs came to a close on Wednesday with a mixed verdict. The jury acquitted the 55-year-old music mogul of the most serious charges – racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking – but found him guilty on the two lesser counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. Still, this verdict marks only one chapter in Combs's mounting legal battles. Combs, who remains incarcerated at the Metropolitan detention center in Brooklyn, is now awaiting sentencing and faces a growing number of civil lawsuits against him alleging sexual assault and abuse. While the guilty verdict on two counts means that Combs is likely to face prison time, it spared him the possibility of a life sentence. The outcome was widely seen as the best outcome Combs and his legal team could have hoped for, outside of a full acquittal. The federal criminal case against Combs began after singer Casandra 'Cassie' Ventura – one of his former girlfriends – filed a civil lawsuit against him in 2023. In the civil suit, Ventura, who became the government's key witness in this criminal trial, accused Combs of physical and sexual abuse, rape and forcing her to have sex with male escorts. Combs denied the allegations, and the lawsuit was settled within 24 hours. During the federal trial, Ventura testified that the settlement amount was $20m. Since Ventura's 2023 lawsuit against Combs, more than 50 additional civil lawsuits have been filed against the music mogul by both men and women, accusing him of sexual assault, rape, drugging and physical violence. More lawsuits were filed as recently as this week and last week. Combs has repeatedly denied all the allegations against him in the civil filings. The judge overseeing the case denied his request for bail following Wednesday's verdict. The judge tentatively proposed October for sentencing, though Combs's legal team has requested an earlier date. Each of the two counts that Combs was convicted of carry maximum sentences of 10 years. The judge has discretion to impose a shorter sentence and may allow the two terms to run concurrently. The 10 months Combs has already spent in custody will also likely count toward his sentence. Outside the courthouse on Wednesday, a crowd of Combs's supporters gathered to celebrate the partial acquittal, chanting his name and cheering as members of his family exited the building. But while his fans rejoiced, many victims' advocacy organizations expressed disappointment in the verdict. UltraViolet, a women's rights organization that staged a demonstration last week outside the trial in support of sexual assault survivors, called the verdict 'not just a stain on a criminal justice system that for decades has failed to hold accountable abusers like Diddy, it's also an indictment of a culture in which not believing women and victims of sexual assault remains endemic'. Fatima Goss Graves, president and CEO of the National Women's Law Center and co-founder of the Time's Up legal defense fund, issued a statement expressing solidarity with the 'courageous and inspiring survivors who chose to tell their stories, hold their abuser accountable, and seek justice'. Douglas Wigdor, an attorney for Ventura, said that 'although the jury did not find Combs guilty of sex-trafficking Cassie beyond a reasonable doubt, she paved the way for a jury to find him guilty of transportation to engage in prostitution'. 'By coming forward with her experience,' he said, 'Cassie has left an indelible mark on both the entertainment industry and the fight for justice.' In the wake of the verdict, several celebrities took to social media to share their reactions and support for Ventura. Singer Kesha posted on X: 'Cassie, I believe you. I love you. Your strength is a beacon for every survivor.' Actress Christina Ricci called Ventura a 'hero' and 'an inspiration' in a message on Instagram. Singer Aubrey O'Day, who was previously signed to Combs's Bad Boy Records label, shared a lengthy statement on her Instagram that read in part: 'It is heartbreaking to witness how many lives have been impacted by their experiences with Sean Combs, only for those stories to fall short in the eyes of a jury.' Actress Rosie O'Donnell expressed outrage online, writing: 'I guess a jury just never wants to believe that a woman stays because of power and coercion- wow – they just think women stay because what? money – fame – 'they love the abuse' – what a fucking joke – this decision got me angry.' And actress Evan Rachel Wood also weighed in, writing on Instagram that 'there is no consent in a domestic violence relationship. Period. Once the threat of violence is there, you comply. You do not consent, it is self preservation and survival.'

Liam Gallagher spear-headed Oasis reunion as subtle gesture to Noel uncovered

EXCLUSIVE: Oasis first announced the reunion tour last year, but some fans were concerned Liam and Noel Gallagher could fall out before the tour even began When Oasis first announced their reunion tour, many were concerned brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher would fall out before they ever got to the stage at Cardiff's Principality Stadium. Considering the duo were at loggerheads for 16 years, it's no surprise those who bought tickets were sceptical about their reunion. But now, almost a year after their tour was announced, Liam and Noel arrived on stage hand-in-hand as they raised their arms to the sky while 70,000 fans screamed in excitement over the special occasion. Body language expert Judi James exclusively revealed to The Mirror that the brothers "gave the fans a celebratory ritual that almost suggested an air of sibling peace and harmony, walking out with their arms raised together in acknowledgement." ‌ ‌ Speaking to The Mirror, she said: "It was really enough to see them on the same planet, in the same vicinity or on the same stage and getting through their set without anyone walking off. "But they gave the fans a celebratory ritual that almost suggested an air of sibling peace and harmony, walking out with their arms raised together in acknowledgment. "Analysis of the ritual is fascinating. It's Liam who has grabbed Noel's wrist to raise their arms, suggesting he's the one wanting to push the idea that they're reunited for real. He also places a confident and controlling hand onto Noel's shoulder, raising his maracas in the air in what looks like a V sign to signal victory." While belting out their biggest hits, there were moments where Noel looked "rather shell-shocked or emotionally overwhelmed". During Half The World Away, Noel needed to take a minute to take in everything around him. Judi said: "His arms hang at his sides, his head tilts forward and his lips appear clamped. He looks like a man holding his breath like the rest of the fans in the hope that the sibling bonds hold firm this time and they get through their tour in a state of (almost) total harmony." ‌ It's not an Oasis concert with Liam singing with his hands behind his back while Noel is 'hunched over his guitar'. "The stage placing looks a little more evenly balanced than all those years ago, with Noel appearing to be lined up with his brother, and the signature poses are still intact, with Noel hunched over his guitar while Liam poses as the edgy rebel, hands behind his back, head tilted back, looking like a guy who is using his mic like a public address system," Judi continued. ‌ "Liam still looks angry but in a good way. Noel's expressions as he sings mimic a wince of pain that shows the intensity of his performance. But it's the combined rituals of two brothers that have previously made warring bros like William and Harry, JR and Bobby and Thor and Loki look like best buddies, that would have got the fans choking with emotion." The hotly-anticipated tour is the culmination of months of speculation, a feverish ticket sale and a long 16 year wait from fans. A shock comeback was unveiled in August 2024, with the band declaring: 'The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised.' A chaotic rush for tickets followed with 17 dates announced across London, Manchester, Edinburgh, Cardiff and Dublin before the band announced more concerts in North America, Mexico, South Korea, Japan, Australia, Chile and Argentina - giving fans around the world the chance to hear the hits live again.
