Liam Gallagher's sweary comment about Manchester crowd revealed by lip reader
An expletive comment made by Liam Gallagher about one of Manchester's homecoming crowds has been revealed by a lip reader. Liam, 52, and his older brother Noel, 58, played five sold out shows at Heaton Park over two weeks.
The gigs had been in such demand that thousands of fans without tickets travelled to the park to stand outside the gates and grab snippets of the so band playing from the so-called 'Gallagher Hill'. When security guards installed huge boards to stop fans watching for free, the undeterred crowds continued to travel in and listen to the Britpop icons without a view.
Speaking on the final night of the Manchester leg of their tour, Noel said on stage: "For the last ten days the eyes of the world have been on this city of Manchester and I just want to say to all Mancunians you've done yourself f***ing proud." And then towards the end of the show, brother Liam added: 'We love you, we adore you. Thanks for making this happen.'
A comment made by Liam as the band took to the stage on their last night has now been revealed - and it appears the duo may have had some pre-show nerves.
A lip reader analysing their chat said Liam had turned to his older brother Noel and said: "F***ing hell... noisy innit?"
His brother agreed in the short exchange. Noel responded: "Yeah, yeah," as the duo made their way to the sage. Liam then said to him "Hear that?" before the siblings walked onto the stage hand in hand.
The brothers have become more vocal on stage following their opening weekend in Cardiff. Liam even got topical as he addressed the recent Coldplay scandal on stage on Sunday night.
"Do we have any lovebirds in the house?" he asked the crowd before playing Slide Away. "Don't worry, we don't got any of that Coldplay snidey f**king camera shit."
He went on "Doesn't matter to us who you're fucking mingling with, or tingling with It's none of our f**king business.'
Last week, a scene from the Jumbotron portion of Coldplay's live show went viral after the camera landed on two people looking very loved-up before they panicked at seeing their faces and ran off to hide.
'Either they're having an affair or they're just very shy,' frontman Chris Martin joked from the stage. The duo were later revealed to be CEO Andy Byron and Chief Human Resources Officer Kristin Cabot of the tech company Astronomer.
On Friday, Astronomer issued a statement announcing its Board of Directors 'initiated a formal investigation into this matter and we will have additional details to share very shortly' and had placed both employees on leave.

Randy swingers target Liam Gallagher's home and brag about romping in his garden while he's on Oasis tour
MORNING ORGY Randy swingers target Liam Gallagher's home and brag about romping in his garden while he's on Oasis tour Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) LIAM GALLAGHER may be glad to be closer to home as the Oasis tour hits Wembley on Friday – as a bunch of randy swingers are planning to have sex in his garden. One exhibitionist going by the name Jimmy on a members-only swingers site posted: 'Anyone up for meets with me and my lady? Sign up for the Entertainment newsletter Sign up 11 Liam and Noel Gallagher hand-in-hand in Cardiff after Oasis' reunion tour's opening night Credit: Getty 'Liam Gallagher has a place that backs on to the trees so could sneak into his garden. 'That could be a laff. Email for deets.' Another swinger, who had the rather unoriginal user name Sex-Time, said he was up for it and responded: 'He's on tour with Oasis so we won't get caught.' The rest of the messages are too saucy to share, but you get my drift. I'm pretty sure Liam's adorable rescue dog Buttons would make short work of anyone who dared to get down and dirty anywhere near Liam's garden. Council bores But if I was him, I'd definitely be beefing up my home security. Liam and his brother Noel are now enjoying a few rest days before their Wembley shows with their bandmates Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs, Gem Archer, Andy Bell and American drummer Joey Waronker. The band will play five shows at Wembley over the next fortnight, then head off to Edinburgh and Ireland before returning for two final gigs in September. American Oasis fans will then be able to get their fill of the reunited band. The brothers were triumphant together when they went home to Manchester for five huge shows at Heaton Park. Oasis kick off historic reunion tour as Noel & Liam reunite for first show in Cardiff And despite city council bores trying to block the view for ticketless fans on nearby Gallagher Hill, the concerts could not have been more successful. During their opening shows in Cardiff, it is thought that almost £4million was brought into the local economy thanks to the gigs. And I've no doubt that the same boost will have come to Manchester, after three Joseph Holt pubs — the ones closest to Heaton Park — told me they poured more than 100,000 pints during the course of the five shows. That's not counting all the drinks and food sold by vendors on site, nor the hotels, which saw customers from all over the world staying with them to watch the lads in action. Oasis fever is going to hit the capital from tomorrow night — and I for one cannot wait. 11 Randy swingers are planning to have sex in Liam Gallagher's garden SAMIRA'S IN A NEW CARDI 11 Samira Mighty is ready to take on the mantle of party-loving pop star Credit: Supplied 11 The former Love Islander has dropped her steamy summer banger Cardio Credit: Supplied WITH CHARLI XCX married, it seems the brat summer is over – but Samira Mighty is ready to take on the mantle of party-loving pop star. The former Love Islander has today dropped her steamy summer banger Cardio, and she reckons it will be raising temperatures on the dancefloor. In an exclusive chat, she said: 'I like doing songs like Cardio because it is a bit different to my other stuff. 'I want to shock people. 'Cardio is all about being like a dominant, sexy girl. And I think I'm coming into my sexy girl era now. 'With stuff like Charli XCX, Brat and Shygirl, it's just so now. Everyone's just in their party girl era, aren't they?' Cardio is packed full of racy lyrics but Samira was surprised to find that even her parents were fans of the tune. But she reckons they may have been less keen if they had seen her acting out some of the song's raunchy lines when she was on Love Island in 2018. This year's series has shown far more bedroom antics, and she said: 'Oh my God, my grandma would disown, my dad would disown. 'I'd be living somewhere else. 'It would be bad.' As an actress, Samira is juggling her music with a gruesome role in new Brit horror movie Bambi: The Reckoning – which is not for the faint-hearted. After seeing a clip she said: 'I was shocked. 'I've never seen myself cut in half by Bambi, but my character was annoying anyway. 'She deserved it.' Ouch. ALICIA CLUELESS? The actress put on Cher's famous yellow checked co-ord and recreated an iconic scene from the film with a very special twist. She went through the motions of the scene in the movie where Cher is seen walking along, inset, before a man jumps out of nowhere and puts his arm around her and she shouts: 'As if!' But this time it wasn't an unknown teen trying to approach her, but her 20-year-old son Bear. Sharing the reel with her 3.1 million Instagram followers, Alicia wrote on Instagram: 'Entering Clueless's 30th anniversary weekend like . . .' Fans can head to the Trafalgar Theatre in London for the West End version of the film now. I can't think of a better way to celebrate. Speaking outside the Savoy Theatre in London, where the show opens tomorrow, the US singer said: 'I love taking a step back and a back seat . . . it's beautiful to see the reinvention. 'When you're in it, you focus on the choreography, all these different elements. 'Being able to take a back seat and being more of a visionary of the bigger picture, it's really a special thing.' Actress Jess Folley takes on Christina's role as Ali in the stage version, with the Dirrty singer heaping praise on her, adding: 'She is doing such a magnificent, magnificent job and likewise inspires me as well.' DRAKE CREW'S CHICKEN RAPS 11 Drake performs on the final night of his Wireless Festival takeover Credit: Getty 11 The Hotline Bling star splashed out £3,327.25 on nosh for his crew Credit: Supplied HE might have let down fans with a rather short performance on the final night of his Wireless Festival takeover. But the 400-strong team who joined Drake on tour were loving life after the Hotline Bling star splashed the cash on their catering. Insiders tell me that when the US rapper headed to Birmingham for a trio of shows there, he spent £3,327.25 on nosh for his crew. Drake called a local branch of American chain Dave's Hot Chicken to put in his order, which included £1,059.80 on 60 medium spice sliders and £529.90 on 30 hot spice sliders. If that wasn't enough, he also paid £739.80 for 60 boxes of chicken tenders, along with £299.75 for French fries, 100 pots of Mac N Cheese at £349 and 100 portions of kale slaw for the same price. Drake chose to order from Dave's Hot Chicken after investing in the chain back in 2021, but as his receipt proves, he didn't even get a discount. I'm outraged he forgot a few tubs of Dave's sauce. That stuff is addictive. CHRIS OUT IN THE COLD 11 Gwyneth Paltrow's kids are helping her discover new music Credit: Getty SHE may be besties with her ex Chris Martin but it turns out Coldplay is not Gwyneth Paltrow's favourite band. Opening up about her kids Moses and Apple influencing her music choices, Gwyneth said: 'They teach me about new acts a lot. 'My son is always teaching me about cool new bands like this one band called Royel Otis that I'm obsessed with. 'Apple has got me into French indie pop. 'I learn something from these guys every day.' But, much to her kids' horror, Gwyneth does still like a golden oldie. Asked on her Goop podcast if there was anything she liked that was uncool, she replied as quick as a flash: 'Phil Collins. 'I love Phil Collins.' Must be something in the air. WITH LULU four years off turning 80, she says she's now stopped giving a toss what people think and has started to let loose. Speaking on stage at a concert at Englefield House, Berks, the Scots singer, said: 'As I've got to 76 I've become reckless and let it all hang out. 'Every gig is special to me – more and more so as I get older. 'I've always loved it and appreciated it, but there's an extra level of appreciation there, because how lucky am I to be here with you? 'I could be at home cleaning up after lunch, washing the bloody dishes or something – but I'd much rather do this.' I'm sure the sight of Lulu in a pair of marigolds would be thrilling for some . . . HE is still on the final leg of his colossal Mathematics world tour, which has seen him performing to more than six million fans over the past three years. And Ed Sheeran isn't ready to put his feet up just yet. The Azizam singer has announced a brand new tour, Loop, which will see him hitting the road again in the new year. Ed said: 'New stage, new tricks, new set-up, new songs and all the classics added in. 'We kick it off in Australia and New Zealand in Jan, Feb, March 2026, which is always the best time. 'I can't wait to be back.' Tickets for the shows go on sale next Tuesday, with Ed expected to announce dates in Europe and the UK soon.

Liam Payne pays boyband HUGE compliment before making awkward gaffe in new episode of Netflix's Building The Band
Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) BUILDING The Band judge Liam Payne doesn't hold back in love-bombing a boyband on the show that remind him of the early days of One Direction. In the new episode of the Netflix talent contest, which drops today, the late singer is seen talking to group Midnight 'Til Morning, first in a workshop then after their performance on stage. 'I've got a very big soft spot for you boys, you remind me a lot of what we were like. 'Don't let me down – boybands!' Liam also seems to have quite a bit of faith in them, as he shares some tips on how to work crowds in stadiums should they ever get the same level of career as his One Direction did. He tells them: 'When you're in a stadium you can see the front rows of people but everything else becomes one big crowd, so you're trying to move a section of the crowd, not just one person, so everything's got to be quite big.' His gushing is reciprocated when one of the boyband members tells Liam: 'We all looked up to you boys so much and we want to be that next band. 'You guys kind of shied away from that Nineties boyband thing.' Then he suddenly realises he's standing next to host AJ McLean, who famously sang with arguably the biggest boyband of the Nineties, Backstreet Boys. Awkward. The two actors, who played Joey and Pacey on the cult teen drama, were all smiles as they were reunited on the New York City set of their new film Happy Hour. For five years from 1998, young viewers on both sides of the Atlantic were gripped by the intertwined romances among the strangely deep and mature adolescents that resided in the fictional town of Capeside, Massachusetts. After the show ended, the cast went their different ways and had very different life experiences. Katie married Tom Cruise, while Michelle Williams starred in Brokeback Mountain and started dating its star, the late Heath Ledger. Meanwhile, Joshua has arguably enjoyed something of a later life renaissance in his career, starring in TV shows including The Affair and Doctor Odyssey. 5 Keeley Hawes, who plays a hitwoman, gives her son, played by Freddie Highmore, a deadly lesson in an exclusive shot from Prime Video thriller The Assassin Credit: Des Willie It's normally delightful to see a mother teaching her child new skills, but in the case of one new Prime Video thriller, it's more spine-chilling. This exclusive image from The Assassin shows Keeley Hawes, who plays a hitwoman, delivering a crash course in using a gun to her son, played by Freddie Highmore. And anyone who sees the first, bloody three minutes of the show – which drops on Friday – will understand why it's probably for the best. Troy's antique passion 5 Troy Deeney reveals he became an Antiques Roadshow fan while serving time in prison Credit: Getty The Antiques Roadshow has an unlikely fan in former Premier League bad boy Troy Deeney. The ex-Watford ace turned broadcaster says he got hooked on the long-running BBC series in the most unlikely of places – prison. Deeney, who will soon be appearing in Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, said watching the show helped him pass the time while he was serving three months for affray before he made it big in football. He said: 'I was a little bit naughty at one point and basically when I was in jail, I had a lot of time watching Antiques Roadshow. 'I'd watch Antiques Roadshow and that one [Bargain Hunt] as well where they used to run round and buy things and then try to sell it. 'These couples had grafted all day and they'd got 90 quid and they're like 'Yes, we won'. 'It was a bit sad, but it got me through a lot of jail time.' I doubt anyone would be brave enough to mock him. Football play Dear England, which is being turned into a TV drama, will soon return to the stage with a national tour. It will star former EastEnder Samantha Womack opposite David Sturzaker as Gareth Southgate. It kicks off on September 15 in Plymouth.

Astronomer HR exec isn't out of woods over Coldplay concert cuddle even though boss has resigned, expert says
The Astronomer HR boss who was caught cuddling up to her CEO at a Coldplay concert in a viral clip is not out of the woods yet, experts say. Kristin Cabot, the Chief People Officer at the AI startup, has been placed on leave at the company despite her alleged fling, Andy Byron, resigning last week following a brief internal investigation. While Byron was ousted following a successful two years in the top job that saw Astronomer grow rapidly, firing Cabot could prove difficult for the tech firm, legal insiders warn. 'In a real-world big company, you can't just fire someone because the headlines are ugly,' attorney Nicole Brenecki told the New York Post. 'There are likely contracts, internal investigations, and legal issues involved.' Cabot and Byron were ridiculed when they were caught in a kiss-cam moment at a Coldplay concert in Boston that saw them quickly try to hide from the camera, leading frontman Chris Martin to quip: 'Either they're having an affair, or they're just very shy.' However, Brenecki said that while sacking Cabot merely for the social media infamy the moment brought on Astronomer could be tricky, she may not yet be out of trouble. 'If HR greenlit what happened with Coldplay, and there is a supporting paper trail, heads will likely roll. It just might take a few more days before the ax drops,' the attorney said. For Cabot, scrutiny on her status after the Coldplay clip saw Daily Mail exclusively reveal that she is currently married to another CEO. Despite cuddling up to her CEO Byron, Massachusetts property documents dated in January confirmed that Cabot is currently married to Andrew Cabot, the chief executive of Privateer Rum, a Massachusetts-based booze maker. It is unclear exactly when the pair tied the knot, but the documents confirm that Kristin, whose maiden name is Stanek, was married at the time of selling a $1.8m property in Watertown, Mass, earlier this year. Privateer Rum's website lists Andrew Cabot as its CEO and COO of the company, and public documents show that he has been married at least twice before, in 1993 and 2014. He shares two children with his first wife Maud, who shared a picture of her ex-husband with Kristin looking loved up at his daughters 25th birthday party on social media in April of last year. Kristin even posed with his son Henry, 30, in the snaps, and was seen wearing a wedding ring at the event - which was missing during her cozy Coldplay date with Byron. The couple are also referred to as 'husband and wife' in New Hampshire property records, buying a $2.2million two-story, four-bedroom New Englander-style house in Rye, in February. They sold another four-bedroom property nearby for $1.05m in February, after purchasing it in April of last year. Kristin's now-deleted LinkedIn account showed that she has served as an 'advisory board member' at Privateer Rum since September 2020. Although Byron was humiliated as he was ousted from the company following a brief investigation by Astronomer's board of directors, Cabot has seemingly remained in her executive role. And Astronomer's replacement for Byron, interim CEO Pete DeJoy, surprised many as he gushed over the viral infamy in his first statement since entering the hotseat this week. He appeared to suggest he was thrilled by the Coldplay incident, and celebrated the fact Astronomer is now a household name thanks to the saga. He wrote: 'The spotlight has been unusual and surreal for our team and, while I would never have wished for it to happen like this, Astronomer is now a household name. 'I'm stepping into this role with a wholehearted commitment to taking care of our people and delivering for our customers. Astronomer's foundation remains strong, built around the thriving Apache Airflow community.'
