Hero Discontinues Mavrick 440, Draws Curtain On Its Most Premium Motorcycle In India

Hero MotoCorp has now pulled the plug on the Mavrick 440, the most premium motorcycle offered by the brand in the country. While many riders had positive reviews about the bike, the sales data claim that the roadster notched a single digital or zero sales from the past few months, probably one of the biggest reasons for the discontinuation. While the brand has not unlisted the motorcycle from the website, a few dealerships have stopped taking bookings for the Mavrick 440. Hero Mavrick 440 The Mavrick 440 was first launched in early 2024 and was a naked street bike based on the Harley-Davidson X440, which is also manufactured by Hero MotoCorp in India. Launched at a price tag of Rs 1.99 lakh (ex-showroom), the bike was positioned as the most premium motorcycle by the brand. Talking about the specs, the Hero Mavrick 440 had a 440cc single-cylinder engine, mated with a 6-speed gearbox via an assist and slipper clutch. It was capable of pushing out a peak power and torque output of 27 bhp at 6000rpm and 36 Nm at 4000 rpm.
