Kuhnemann bowls Glam to three-day win over Middlesex
Glamorgan 383: Northeast 122, Carlson 109; Higgins 5-59, Roland-Jones 4-95
& 8-0
Middlesex 155: Holden 42; Gorvin 4-39
& 235 (following on): Robson 66, Roland-Jones 57; Kuhnemann 6-53
Glamorgan (22 pts) beat Middlesex (2 pts) by 10 wickets
Match scorecard
Australian spinner Matt Kuhnemann bowled Glamorgan to a three-day win over Middlesex by 10 wickets.
Kuhnemann, in a one-off appearance, took six for 53 as Middlesex were dismissed for 235 after following on.
Rapid knocks of 66 from Sam Robson and 57 from Toby Roland-Jones only served to avoid the innings defeat, with Glamorgan needing only eight to win.
Glamorgan claimed three Championship wins in a row for the first time since 2015, and it was the first time they have ever won three consecutive games with a day to spare.
The home side owed much to the first innings stand of 228 between centurions Sam Northeast and Kiran Carlson, with Middlesex unable to find similar application in their second successive defeat.

The Glamorgan flag was flying at half-mast in memory of former Glamorgan groundsman Len Smith as Middlesex followed on 228 runs behind.
The visitors surprised everyone with Robson and Max Holden racing along at a run a ball for the first hour in an opening stand of 98.
Robson hit seamers James Harris and Andy Gorvin out of the attack with a series of ferocious drives, as they were unable to find the lengths that served them so well the previous day with the former England man racing to a 40-ball 50.
It looked like the T20 Blast had come early, but as Glamorgan switched their attack round, it was left-arm spinner Kuhnemann who made the breakthrough as Holden was well taken at short leg by Asa Tribe for 35.
Robson had blasted 13 fours when he was trapped lbw by Kuhnemann, who then bowled Leus du Plooy, and with Luke Hollman edging Timm van der Gugten to slip Middlesex had lost four wickets for 17.
Glamorgan kept chipping away after lunch with Ben Geddes trying to get after Kuhnemann but being well taken by Zain ul Hassan back-pedalling at mid-off for 12.
Harris's second spell was a considerable improvement as he got rid of Ryan Higgins for 19 and Zafar Gohar, brilliantly caught by a leaping Chris Cooke.
Kuhnemann completed his five-for as Jack Davies (12) swung to mid-wicket before Roland-Jones launched a magnificent counter-attack, smashing three successive sixes into the grandstand off Gorvin, and speeding to 50 off just 33 balls.
The scores were level when Roland-Jones swung Gorvin to a diving Harris at deep square leg, and fittingly Kuhnemann had the final word when Dane Paterson was taken by Gorvin at mid-on.
Glamorgan knocked off the eight needed in 14 balls as Middlesex ran round to salvage a potential points deduction for their over-rate.
Middlesex now start their T20 Blast campaign against Sussex at Lord's on Thursday 29 June, while Glamorgan's opener sees them travel to face Middlesex at Northwood on Sunday, 1 June.

Liberty's Jonquel Jones ‘pissed' she wasn't named All-Star starter
We've got you covered on the Liberty beat Join Post Sports+ for exciting subscriber-only features, including real-time texting with Madeline Kenney about all things Liberty and WNBA. tRY IT NOW Liberty center Jonquel Jones didn't sugarcoat her disappointment when it came to the fact a sprained ankle derailed her All-Star-worthy start. 'I'm pissed,' she said after practice Wednesday. 'I'm not even gonna lie about it, I'm really upset about it.' Advertisement Jones has been named an All-Star in five of the past seven seasons, including 2024. Earning a sixth All-Star nod was the 'one personal goal' Jones had for herself this season. The 2024 WNBA Finals MVP was on track to make her All-Star aspirations a reality. Advertisement In her first nine games, Jones averaged 15.3 points and 11.3 rebounds while shooting 48.5 percent from the field and 44.4 percent from deep. Jones initially sprained her right ankle June 5 in Washington. In her second game back, she aggravated the ankle injury when she landed on another player's foot after going up for a shot. Earlier this week, Jones learned she wasn't named a starter for the 2025 WNBA All-Star game. She's keeping her fingers crossed that she may be named one of the 12 reserves, which are determined by the league's head coaches. Advertisement Liberty star Jonquel Jones, who is out again with an ankle injury, said she was 'pissed' about not being named an All-Star starter. John Jones-Imagn Images Though there's no minimum games played requirement to be named an All-Star, Jones knows her being sidelined may impact her chances. 'We'll see when it comes [out] but I'm definitely upset about it,' Jones said. 'Obviously I was playing well enough to be an All-Star again and it's something that I expect of myself every year as well. So we'll see. But if it happens that I'm not, then I'm definitely going to be very upset.' Being left out of the main event of All-Star weekend — scheduled for July 18-19 in Indianapolis — is just one of the challenges Jones has had to come to grips with since reinjuring her ankle in the Liberty's June 19 loss against the Mercury. 'It's been difficult. … But I think there are some things that we can control as a team to help us just look better out there and kind of help us be closer to winning.' The Liberty play their next eight games in Brooklyn and aren't scheduled to hit the road again until their July 28 game in Dallas. Jones said the lengthy home stand should be good for her recovery considering swelling has been one of her biggest issues with the sprain. She also welcomed the chance for some normalcy, despite the setback. 'I can see my dogs every day and they make me happy,' Jones said. 'I can do my regular walks and stuff like that and just kind of get into that routine of just when I'm showing up to the gym, when I'm doing rehab, when I'm doing conditioning and all that stuff.' Jones can also host 'Love Island' watch parties with her teammates in her Brooklyn apartment. Advertisement The Liberty announced June 21 that Jones would miss four to six weeks. About two weeks into her rehab process, Jones said she doesn't have a target date to return to play. But she did say she's feeling better. 'I'm in a good spot,' she said. 'Just making sure that I'm as close to 100 percent as possible before I get back on the court and yeah, just take it from there.'

Liberty getting whole again with Leonie Fiebich back after team's rough stretch
Leonie Fiebich kept tabs on the Liberty the best she could when she was away for EuroBasket the past few weeks. We've got you covered on the Liberty beat Join Post Sports+ for exciting subscriber-only features, including real-time texting with Madeline Kenney about all things Liberty and WNBA. tRY IT NOW She saw the underwhelming results and updates on social media. She got texts from her WNBA teammates asking her to come back. Advertisement 'It's also OK for us to go through a phase like this that it's hitting us now and not later in the year,' Fiebich said after practice Wednesday. 'We just gotta find a way back.' Now is the time to do just that. The Liberty opened their title defense with a franchise-best 9-0 start. Advertisement Over the past 2 ½ weeks, though, they have faltered. The team lost five of its past seven games and recently finished a 10-day road trip with back-to-back losses in Phoenix and Atlanta. 3 Germany's Leonie Fiebich, left, and Sweden's Fanny Wadling in action during the European Championships basketball match between Germany and Sweden at the Inselpark Arena in Hamburg, Germany, Thursday, June 19, 2025. AP The Liberty (11-5) entered Wednesday ranked third in the league standings. Advertisement Despite the struggles, though, Natasha Cloud believes outsiders need to take a 'chill pill.' 'We have everything that we need,' Cloud said. 'In that locker room, there is no panic. I think everyone needs to take a reality check. … We have two missing starters.' The Liberty were without two starters for most of that stretch since Fiebich — one of the team's best defenders — went overseas for EuroBasket and Jonquel Jones — New York's best rim protector — aggravated a right ankle sprain. It didn't help either that Sabrina Ionescu was a late scratch for the June 22 loss in Seattle after she woke up with a kink in her neck. Advertisement 3 Natasha Cloud of the New York Liberty shoots the ball during the game against the Atlanta Dream on June 29, 2025 at Gateway Center Arena at College Park in Atlanta, Georgia. NBAE via Getty Images Ionescu still didn't have full movement in her neck when she helped the Liberty beat the Valkyries in front of a rowdy violet-laden crowd in San Francisco. Ionescu is better now, and Fiebich is back in the mix. The German wing is expected to play Thursday against the Sparks. Jones is also on the mend and was seen doing individual work off to the side with director of player development coach Andrew Wade toward the end of Wednesday's practice. The Liberty didn't anticipate Jones returning before WNBA All-Star weekend (July 18 and 19) based on their initial June 21 update that she'd be out for four to six weeks. Speaking to reporters for the first time since she reinjured her ankle in June, Jones said she doesn't have a target date for her return to play but feels she's in a 'good spot.' This all bodes well for the Liberty, who are playing eight straight games at home, starting Thursday. Advertisement 'I think we're going to be able to kind of turn the page and see a different team here when we're back at home,' Ionescu said. Ionescu thought it was promising to see the team 'fought' over the past two weeks, despite being shorthanded. She described the team vibes as 'good.' 'Everyone kind of sees the big picture and isn't really panicking,' she said. 'It's just that understanding of we need people to step up, we need people to continue to try and make up for the players that aren't here and those are really big shoes to fill. And so we just need to continue to chip away.' Advertisement The Liberty aren't scheduled to hit the road again until their July 28 game in Arlington, Texas, against the Wings. If they do in fact get back on track before the All-Star break, then the previous turbulence will be only a blip in a long season. But if problems persist even with Fiebich on the floor, then it might be time to sound the alarm. 3 Sabrina Ionescu of the Liberty drives to the basket during the game against the Atlanta Dream on June 29, 2025 at Gateway Center Arena at College Park in Atlanta, Georgia. NBAE via Getty Images Advertisement For now, though, the Liberty deserve the benefit of the doubt given their championship credentials and the recent circumstances. But they should know the sand in the hourglass is running low. 'Everyone faces adversity, so you got to stay together,' coach Sandy Brondello said. 'This is where your character shows. And we're our worst enemy, you know what I mean? 'In the end, we didn't play hard enough. And so that's what the last few days have been about. Getting back to who we are and demanding more. And Leo makes a big difference.'

WNBA stars Caitlin Clark & Sydney Colson's naughty moment on IG live has fans giggling
Celebrating a WNBA championship win took a hilarious and cheekily sapphic turn when Caitlin Clark was surprised by Sydney Colson's antics. Clark may have been forced to sit out the Indiana Fever's Tuesday night game against the Minnesota Lynx, but she didn't miss a second of the post-game celebrations. Advertisement After the team scored a championship-clinching win, Clark was celebrating in the locker room, bent over while talking to the camera on an Instagram Live when Colson snuck up behind her and jokingly started to dry hump her. 'Woah bro,' Clark laughed as she jumped up. 'Absolutely not, no thank you!" The now-viral moment was just one of the team's celebratory antics from that night. Clark may have been out due to a groin injury, but that didn't stop her from using the Commissioner's Cup trophy as a cup for her teammates to drink out of, helped to spray down the team and coach with champagne, and then Clark, Lexi Hull, and Sophie Cunningham shotgunned beer before sneaking up behind Colson to drench her in beer and champagne. Advertisement 'I don't know how to spray. I'm not a drinker. I don't know how to do champagne celebrations,' Colson said, per Essentially Sports . 'But they were open. The coaches were having a good time, chugging out of the Commissioner's Cup. It was fun. It was a good vibe.' Maybe Colson's suggestive hip thrusting was payback for Clark's shenanigans. Clearly, the Fever know how to celebrate a win! This article originally appeared on Pride: WNBA stars Caitlin Clark & Sydney Colson's naughty moment on IG live has fans giggling RELATED
