Nene Leakes Declined ‘The Traitors' Season 4 For Family Reasons
Reality TV queen Nene Leakes is setting the record straight about why she won't be appearing on Season 4 of Peacock's The Traitors , despite swirling rumors that she was slated to join the cast. Read more inside.
In a new interview on the Humble Brag with Crystal and Cynthia podcast, the Real Housewives of Atlanta alum confirmed that she was indeed approached to compete in the wildly popular competition series and was even excited about the opportunity. However, family came first.
'I was asked to do Traitors — I was really excited about doing it, by the way,' Leakes shared candidly. But behind the scenes, her 25-year-old son Brent was facing serious health challenges after suffering a stroke at 22 and undergoing a heart transplant. 'His heart started rejecting [the transplant],' she revealed, adding that he had to be hospitalized in order 'to stop the rejection.'
Though Brent has since 'turned a curve' and is recovering, Leakes admitted there was no way she could've stepped away to film. 'My fear was committing and then having to go back to them and say, I can't do it. So that was never going to work,' she said. 'Brent was very sick. It was no way I could have committed to it.'
Leakes also shut down social media rumors claiming she walked away due to money. 'No, no, no. I got the check,' she said firmly. 'If Brent had been in the place that he's in today, I would have went.'
While fans may be disappointed not to see Nene stirring the pot in the Scottish Highlands alongside fellow Housewives like Porsha Williams, Lisa Rinna, and Candiace Dillard Bassett, her reasoning is deeply heartfelt. 'We can FaceTime. He's talking. He wasn't walking at the time. Now he's walking, he's talking,' Leakes said proudly.
Though The Traitors Season 4 will go on with a star-studded cast, Nene Leakes is focusing on what matters most — family and healing. And when the time is right, fans can bet that her return to the spotlight will be just as iconic.

It seems like the Getty may have been thinking a similar thing, because the latest addition to the museum is an outdoor restaurant and bar right at the top of the colorful entrance steps. Matthew Kang Mei Lin's sophomore effort in Los Angeles (we'll consider her casual restaurant Daybird more of a 1.5) comes in the form of 88 Club, a striking, moody affair with just a few dozen seats and an almost secret side lounge for cocktails. The entire look and feel are incredibly lovely, well-detailed, and luxurious, like a high-end restaurant hidden away in a Singapore or Bangkok hotel that only the well-heeled know about. Thankfully Lin's restaurant, a partnership with restaurateur Francis Miranda, is easy to access right from Little Santa Monica in Beverly Hills. The service is polite and helpful without being too much. In fact, 'not too much' could be the theme here. All the dishes are balanced and refined to a near razor's edge, meant to delight without pizzazz. Lin herself said the menu was 'no thrills' and 'what you see is what you get,' and I'm perfectly fine with that in an age when we've moved beyond rainbow bagels and Instagram bullshit. Starters are modest and refreshing, like a dressed chrysanthemum salad or mung bean jelly noodles. Singaporean fried noodles don't carry the heady spices of something in a hawker center, but doused with Lin's chile oil they're hard to stop eating. The shrimp toast, gorgeous and hefty in the hand, is a must-order. I pined for more of the tangy sweet and sauce sour beneath the fried sea bream, fresh herbs balancing the fish. Across the board, portions and flavors are modest but reveal layers of pleasant complexity, like the blackened edges of char siu iberico pork. I'll even swoon over the desserts, like the mango sago topped with sweet dollops that resemeble Dippin' Dots ice cream. The pro-tip here is to go with four people to reduce the costs and maximize dishes to order; we paid about $100 before drinks, tax, and tip, but the price could easily balloon to $200 a person with lots of cocktails. I'm excited to return to 88 Club and try the rest of the dishes, like the kung pao scallop, but for now, I'll happily marinate in my first visit knowing that Mei Lin, arguably one of the most talented chefs in Los Angeles right now, is back with a full service restaurant. 9737 S. It's fairly common for notable DJs to show up and show out on the restaurant's killer sound system, customized by Macquin, who was formerly a sound engineer. Though plenty hang out on lush patio, others might just create their own personal dance floor while enjoying Zizou's sights, sounds, and French or North African family recipes like the chicken tagine or Moroccan salad. Any member of the staff can make a wine recommendation, but if unsure, just ask for a glass of Champagne. Where is Destination X filmed? All the mystery locations revealed so far and theories on the next stop
Destination X is the brand new BBC show that has got every talking - think: The Traitors meets Race Across the World. Hosted by Rob Byrdon, the new show sees 13 players aboard the X-bus with one key question: Where the X are they? With blacked-out windows, players must figure out their location based on limited clues. At the end of each episode, they place an X on the map. The closest players remain in the game, while the furthest player is eliminated. At the end of the series, one winner will bag a £100,000 prize. So far, two episodes of the show have aired and their locations have been revealed. Episode three will air on Wednesday 6th August, and viewers think they've already guessed the location. Here's everything you need to know. After much guessing, the location for episode one was revealed to be Paris. Lots of viewers guessed the French region of Alsace which many clues pointed to, and only one contestant, Dawn, successfully guessed Paris. After the contestants locked in their guesses, it was revealed that Deborah had put her X furthest away from their location. She was asked to step off the bus, where she immediately spotted the Eiffel Tower. At the start of the episode, the players flew from Baden-Baden, Germany to Alsace, then traveled north before ending up in Paris. Along the way, several clues were dropped - including a caricature of Kylian Mbappé (formerly of Paris Saint-Germain), a lookalike of Emily in Paris, classic French desserts, and a pun from Brydon, who said: "I fell in love" as a play on the word "Eiffel." At the end of episode two, Matterhorn, Switzerland was revealed to be Destination X. All the players successfully guessed Switzerland, but it was Dawn who had guessed the furthest away, opting for Lake Geneva. There was only a 5km difference between her and another player. After leaving Paris, the train drove through Dijon into Switzerland and then through Plage Des Pins in Yvonand. The players then headed to the Alps in the Swiss Italian border where many clues pointed to Switzerland and Matterhorn specifically. The Caution Highway Fault sign linked to CHF, which is the international code for the Swiss Franc and the +41 is the phone code for Switzerland. At the lake, the sign featured all four languages for Switzerland, and the sign spelled out the words Throne Mart - which when rearranged spelled Matterhorn. Additionally, the letters 'Terh' which Nick spotted (and didn't tell the others) are the middle letters of Matterhorn. Episode three is yet to air, but viewers are speculating that the players will be heading to Munich, Germany. In episodes one. several airports were shown on the departure board, including Charles de Gaulle Airport, Sion Airport in Switzerland, Salzburg Airport, Munich and more. Viewers believe this to be a dead giveaway, considering episodes one and two saw the contestants head to Paris and Matterhorn, which is right next to Sion. "Surely wouldn't be this obvious, right?" one viewer asked on X (formerly Twitter), as they suggested Munich for the next destination. Viewers will have to wait until the next episode for the destination to be revealed, but the it's adding up. Other potential spots include Pisa (PSA), Venice (VCE), and Trieste (TRS), which were all shown on the departure board. New episodes of Destination X air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
