Israeli Settlers expand outpost in Masafer Yatta, storm Khirbet Samra in Jordan Valley
Occupied Qud – SABA: Israeli settler groups on Monday expanded an illegal outpost established after October 7, 2023, on Palestinian-owned land in the Al-Louza area, south of Khillet al-Daba'a in Masafer Yatta, southern West Bank. Meanwhile, other settlers stormed Khirbet Samra in the northern Jordan Valley. According to Ma'an News Agency, the Israeli military has long classified the Khillet al-Daba'a area as a 'firing zone' and has previously demolished homes, shelters, and caves in the village, forcibly displacing many residents under that pretext. Osama Makhameira, an activist in Masafer Yatta, said Israeli forces confiscated Palestinian land, demolished structures, and later handed the area over to settlers. He added that settler groups were conducting excavations near Palestinian homes in the village of Umm al-Khair, at the same site where settler Yinon Levy killed Palestinian activist Odeh al-Hathaleen last Monday. Levy returned to the same location today to oversee the excavation in what Makhameira called a deliberate provocation. Settlers also released their livestock among Palestinian homes and orchards in the areas of Khirbet al-Qawawees and Shaab al-Butum, intentionally damaging crops and trees. In a related development, armed settlers stormed Khirbet Samra in the northern Jordan Valley on Monday evening under Israeli military protection, triggering panic and fear among local residents. The northern Jordan Valley continues to witness a dangerous escalation in settler attacks on Palestinian villages, backed openly by Israeli occupation forces, compounding the suffering of the local population. Israeli Occupation escalates attacks on Palestinians in West Bank, Quds
Quds/Al Khalil/Nablus – SABA: Israeli occupation forces and settlers escalated their assaults across the occupied West Bank and Quds on Monday evening, launching widespread raids, physical attacks, demolitions, and systematic harassment of Palestinians in various areas. In the latest developments, Israeli forces stormed the eastern part of Nablus, surrounding Joseph's Tomb, in preparation for a settler incursion, according to the official Palestinian news agency. Meanwhile, Quds News Network reported that occupation forces raided Idhna town west of Al Khalil, firing live ammunition and tear gas indiscriminately, leading to dozens of suffocation cases. Another unit raided the Al-Qata'a area in Beit Ummar, north of the city. In southern Hebron's Masafer Yatta, settlers released livestock onto Palestinian farmlands in Al-Qawaqis and Shaab Al-Butum to destroy crops. They also carried out bulldozing operations in Umm Al-Khair village. Israeli forces invaded Al-Karmel town and set up a checkpoint in its center. Elsewhere, forces stormed Birzeit and Jifna towns near Ramallah, closing the gate leading to Turmus Ayya and barring Palestinians from entering or exiting. Settlers in Turmus Ayya also set fire to Palestinian agricultural lands, while bulldozers continued to dig and lay pipelines in Deir Jarir as part of an accelerating settlement expansion plan. In Salfit, Israeli soldiers assaulted Palestinian civilians at the northern entrance of the city, stopping vehicles, beating passengers, and reportedly stealing cash from several youths before allowing them to pass. In Quds, occupation forces assaulted journalists in Al-Jadeera, firing sound grenades that sparked fires reaching nearby Rafat lands. Bulldozers demolished four structures, including a two-story home, under the pretext of lacking permits, and issued demolition notices for three residential buildings in Qalandiya comprising around 12 apartments. In Ariha, settlers poisoned livestock belonging to Mohammad Hassan Harizat in Shallal Al-Auja, killing several animals — part of ongoing efforts to forcibly displace herders. According to the Ma'ta Center for Palestinian Information, July alone saw 6,685 documented violations by Israeli forces and settlers across the West Bank and Jerusalem — part of an intensifying campaign aimed at erasing Palestinian presence and identity. Hamas Official: No new negotiations, resistance's weapons are not up for discussion
Gaza – SABA A member of the Political Bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, Hussam Badran, confirmed on Monday that U.S. envoy Steve Wietkov and the Israeli occupation are negotiating with each other, and that no new proposals are currently on the table. He denied that there is any active negotiation round involving Palestinian factions at this time. Speaking to Al Jazeera Mubasher, Badran said that it was the Israeli side that withdrew from the last round of negotiations, despite understandings being reached through mediators. He emphasized that the delay and backtracking came from the Israeli side, not the Palestinian one, and that the terms agreed upon were reasonable and could have formed a solid foundation for progress. He clarified that negotiation delegations are not currently active, although communication is still ongoing through intermediaries. He stressed that 'the ball is now in Israel's and the U.S. side's court.' Regarding the resistance's weapons, Badran asserted that they do not belong to Hamas alone, but to all Palestinian factions and to the Palestinian people. He emphasized that this issue is an internal Palestinian matter and cannot be negotiated externally. He added, 'If we are granted a fully sovereign Palestinian state, then the resistance's weapons will become part of the state's official army.' Badran considered the push to disarm the resistance a deceptive attempt to mislead the international community, especially in light of ongoing Israeli crimes against Palestinians in the West Bank. He concluded that the weapons of the resistance are directly tied to ending the Israeli aggression and establishing a real Palestinian state—not to empty political declarations or symbolic recognition that change nothing on the ground.
