The chewy fruit-flavoured treats are now up for grabs in Sainsbury's, Tesco, Iceland and Morrisons stores.
Bright yellow 138g pouches of the treats cost £1.25.
The relaunch has sparked excitement among 80s and 90s babies, who have missed the apple, strawberry, orange, lime and lemon treats.
Fans have taken to Facebook to share photos of the tasty treats and spread the news that they are now available in store.
One shopper said: "Just bought a bag to keep in the car."
Another added: "Got a packet of these at home reminds me of my childhood."
While a third said: "They will always be opal fruits to me. I thoroughly enjoyed my original packaging."
Opal Fruits were launched in 1960 and were available on supermarket shelves until the late 90s.
They were rebranded as Starburst in 1998 but fans have complained that they are not the same.
Since then, Mars Wrigley has surprised fans twice by relaunching them in stores - once in 2021 and again in 2024.
The company told fans that last year would be the "final time" the sweet would return, so the U-turn has come as a welcome surprise.
When the return was announced Florence McGivern, Skittles senior brand manager, told The Sun: "Our new limited-edition Opal Fruits will be as iconic as it was in the 90s, giving fans the chance to revisit the strawberry, lemon, orange and lime flavours from decades ago."
If you want to get your hands on the sweets then you will need to be quick as they are limited edition.
They will be available in stores nationwide but you might want to call your local store in advance to avoid a wasted trip.
How to save money on chocolate
We all love a bit of chocolate from now and then, but you don't have to break the bank buying your favourite bar.
Consumer reporter Sam Walker reveals how to cut costs...
Go own brand - if you're not too fussed about flavour and just want to supplant your chocolate cravings, you'll save by going for the supermarket's own brand bars.
Shop around - if you've spotted your favourite variety at the supermarket, make sure you check if it's cheaper elsewhere.
Websites like Trolley.co.uk let you compare prices on products across all the major chains to see if you're getting the best deal.
Look out for yellow stickers - supermarket staff put yellow, and sometimes orange and red, stickers on to products to show they've been reduced.
They usually do this if the product is coming to the end of its best-before date or the packaging is slightly damaged.
Buy bigger bars - most of the time, but not always, chocolate is cheaper per 100g the larger the bar.
So if you've got the appetite, and you were going to buy a hefty amount of chocolate anyway, you might as well go bigger.
Other chocolates spotted on shelves
Chocolate fans have spotted a rare Cadbury bar on supermarket shelves.
Shoppers were stunned to see the Top Decker bar on sale in The Range, years after it vanished from UK shops in the early 2000s.
The 95g bar was popular with many children growing up in the 90s.
Meanwhile, the Cadbury Dream bars are also back on shelves at The Range after they were axed in 2002.
Dream bars were launched in 2001 but were discontinued just one year later.
They are made from white chocolate and cocoa butter.
Plus, shoppers have rushed to get their hands on Malteasers white chocolate, which are now back in several supermarkets.

Inside Coldplay kiss cam couple's 'affair' and their marriages now
The Coldplay kiss cam scandal has sent shockwaves around the world - and brought the two families of the CEO and the HR chief involved in the scandal into the spotlight The world has been captivated by the drama unfolding between now-former Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and the company's Head of HR, Kristen Cabot, after the pair were caught getting cosy on camera at a Coldplay concert. Mr Byron and his HR Chief, Ms Cabot, were spotted embracing each other at the band's gig in Boston, Massachusetts in a clip that has since gone viral across the globe. The pair, who are married but not to each other, were left red-faced after the camera pointed at them during the gig - and their reaction went viral on social media. In the video, Mr Byron can be seen quickly moving out of sight while Ms Cabot covers her face and turns around. Their reaction prompted Coldplay singer Chris Martin to joke that they were either "having an affair or just very shy". Both Astronomer employees were put on leave following the footage circulating online, with Mr Byron later resigning, and the company saying its standards had not been met. The scandal has rocked the lives of Mr Byron and Ms Cabot, but the real victims are their respective partners, Megan Kerrigan and Andrew Cabot, who appeared to be living the American dream in huge suburban homes. Coldplay kiss cam scandal: CEO's wife 'hiding' at $2.4m mansion 100 miles from marital home Davinia Taylor furiously denies affair after being mistaken for woman in Coldplay video Mr Byron is married to Megan, 50, who works in the education sector. The couple shares two children. Ms Kerrigan had been living what appeared to be a picture-perfect life with Mr Byron and their children. On Facebook, she had shared happy family memories, including a smiling group photo from a hiking trip, with the family dressed in caps and hugging by a creek, and another from a graduation, where Mr Byron and his two sons wore suits, with Ms Kerrigan in a dress and one of the sons in a graduation gown and mortarboard. That graduation photo was even her Facebook cover image - until recently. Ms Kerrigan first removed 'Byron' from her name, then deleted her entire Facebook profile on Thursday, wiping all the photos and memories she had once shared publicly. Now, Ms Kerrigan is reportedly at the family's $2.4million Maine mansion while holding crisis talks over the future of their marriage. She is said to be at their luxury property in Kennebunk, 106 miles away from their $1.4million marital home in Northborough, Massachusetts, surrounded by loved ones in the wake of her husband's indiscretion. Meanwhile, Kristin Cabot had recently settled into a life of luxury with her husband, Andrew Cabot, the CEO of a Massachusetts-based spirits company, Privateer Rum. Fewer than five months ago, the couple purchased a $2.2million seaside home in Rye, New Hampshire. Property records also show that Ms Cabot - formerly Kristin Stanek - was married at the time she sold a $1.8million home in Watertown, Massachusetts, earlier this year. Records indicate that the couple has owned another property in Rye since at least 2023. Mr Cabot's company celebrates his lineage, tracing his roots back to the original Andrew Cabot (1750–1791), a merchant, rum distiller, and privateer during the American Revolution. Public documents confirm Mr Cabot has been married at least twice before. A photo posted in April 2023 showed Mr and Ms Cabot looking loved-up at a birthday party. In the same post, Ms Cabot was seen wearing a blingy wedding ring - a detail noticeably absent during her recent cosy Coldplay concert date with Mr Byron. Ms Cabot had been listed as an advisory board member for her husband's company since 2020, according to her now-deleted LinkedIn profile. The kiss cam scandal also sent shockwaves through the tech world. Mr Byron had been the CEO of Astronomer, a fast-growing company in the data infrastructure space, recently valued at over $1 billion. In May, Astronomer secured $93million in Series D funding, backed by major firms including Bain Capital, Salesforce, Venrock, and Meritech. But the American dream quickly unravelled for both families and the company. On Saturday, Astronomer announced Mr Byron's resignation in a formal statement. "As stated previously, Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding. Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability, and recently, that standard was not met. Andy Byron has tendered his resignation, and the Board of Directors has accepted." LinkedIn profiles revealed that Ms Cabot joined the business nine months ago in her role as Chief People Officer - with Byron posting glowing praise about his new team member at the time. The tech chief lauded her "exceptional leadership and deep expertise in talent management, employee engagement, and scaling people strategies" which he stated would "be critical as we continue our rapid trajectory". At time of writing, neither Andy Byron nor Kristin Cabot have issued a public statement regarding the incident.

Price credits his weight loss with his return to the form at the oche, but the Welshman also believes he is now more emotionally intelligent, and that has played a big role too. Asked if that played a role in his win over Gurney, Price said: "Definitely. If it was five, six, seven years ago, that game probably could have got away from me. "I've learned to try and keep my emotions intact at key points. I did today. There were two or three legs where I felt like my head was going to blow off — but I just had to keep it in. "I felt like I was pretty poor in patches and didn't play particularly well. There's a lot more in the tank." Michael van Gerwen reveals major personal change for first time that inspired World Matchplay win 'I just felt like I needed to keep myself composed. Sometimes I'm forcing not to let my emotions get the best of me, and sometimes that's what happens. "I can let out the emotions, and then the next leg's not so good. So sometimes I try and control that — and I did in that game."

Everyone thinks I'm 25 because I look so hot wearing mini-dresses and tiny shorts – but my real age will shock you
A FASHIONISTA has rubbished the suggestion that people should dress their age - and has left the people stunned by how old she really is. TikToker Charlotte Singmin grew up in a time where women were bombarded ''with toxic messaging'' on ''how they 'should' look''. 2 2 ''When I was growing up our bodies would be labelled apples or pears and we were convinced we had an expiry date,'' Charlotte recently said online. ''Turns out we don't need to identify with fruit and we should feel good dressing however we want at any age,'' she shared in an uplifting post. Now, Charlotte doesn't hide or dresses to become invisible - the brunette beauty rocks mini dresses and figure-hugging shorts, and urges others to follow suit. ''i'm 49 and I don't believe in 'dressing your age'. ''If it makes you feel good, do it,'' she said in the video. For Charlotte, however, it wasn't an easy journey, with vicious trolls slamming her with ''ageist comments'' about her style. It wasn't until her 49th birthday that the stunner, who posts under the username @ charlottesingmin, rediscovered her ''love of fashion''. The mum and entrepreneur said in a video: ''I'm turning 50 in November and I'm finally starting to live life on my terms and learning what makes me happy. ''Turns out, I love putting on a cute fit and drinking mocktails with my girlie.'' Charlotte's inspiring words have clearly resonated with many, as the stylish mum has racked up more than 370k views. I'm 5ft3 & a size 12-14 - my 7 Tesco dresses are an absolute bargain & perfect for a last-minute wedding guest outfit As many flooded to comments, one couldn't believe the mum was about to turn 50 in autumn. ''49 looking like 25,'' the fan was gobsmacked. A fellow fashionista chimed in: ''I turn 45 this weekend and I'm wearing whatever the hell I want.'' ''49 but looking better than most of 20' out there,'' a viewer said. ''I can't stand people saying dress your age.. it doesn't even make sense.. there's no mandatory look for any age,'' a TikToker thought. ''Just be a decent person and wear whatever you want.'' ''This isn't 'dressing your age'. this is dressing your power. period,'' a fifth penned.
