Shoppers spot ‘banging' new Cadbury's chocolate bar on shelves of bargain UK supermarket

Cadbury teased the launch of the twist on a fan-favourite chocolate bar earlier this month, but has already said the treat won't be on shelves forever. The chocolate makers described the new bar, which is similar to a Twirl bar, but dipped in white chocolate as being "unreal, indulgent, smooth, swirly, creamy, melty, new, and mouthwatering". And now, the new bar has been spotted by hawk-eyed snack fans in Morrisons. Posting in the Newfoodsuk Facebook group, one confectionary lover said: "The new Twirl Bars are now available at Morrisons." Attached to the post was a picture of the limited edition bars on sale for £1 at the supermarket. The price tag indicated that the chocolate bar is part of Morrisons' £4 Meal Deal. Excited shoppers flooded the comments section of the post, to share their love for the sweet treat. One person said: "I've tried these and they are gorgeous." A second person said: "Tried it, was banging." A third person, tagging a friend said: "They're in Morrisons now! 'So excited' say Cadbury Ireland fans as new chocolate bar flavour to hit shelves TODAY "I know where I'm off to tomorrow." The chocolate bars have also been spotted in local convenience stores, with another Newfoodsuk post stating: "Wow, these are outstanding - closest bar you'll ever get to a Cadbury Snowflake! "We spotted these at our local convenience store!" Katya Savelieva, Brand Manager for Twirl at Mondelez International, said of the new bars: 'Cadbury Twirl has always been a fan favourite, so it's no surprise that limited editions like Cadbury Twirl Orange and Cadbury Twirl Mint had everyone talking. So if you've got the appetite, and you were going to buy a hefty amount of chocolate anyway, you might as well go bigger. The bar first hit shelves on June 2, and since it won't be around for ever, sweet-toothed snack fans should consider stocking up whilst they're still on shelves. Twirl bar were first released in Ireland in 1985, as a single finger bar. They hit UK shelves two years later in its classic double finger form. Eventually the Twirl bar solidified itself as a fan favourite among Cadbury customers. It has since earned its place in the coveted Cadbury's Heroes tin, available at Christmas.

Cadbury makes major change to Fudge bars – and customers are fuming
CADBURY has made a major change to Fudge bars and customers are fuming. The chocolate giant has once again reduced the size of its Fudge mulitpack, with customers now getting four bars instead of five. 1 The popular snack has been reduced in size Packs of four are still being sold for £1.40, even though bigger packets were sold for the same price a few month prior Cadbury has faced backlash from customers, especially parents who put the treat in their children's lunch box. Leaving a review on Tesco's website, one angry parent branded it "shrinkflation in action". "Apparently these are no longer meant to go in kids lunchboxes any more because there are 5 days in the school week, not 4." They added: "The price hasn't changed though ." While another upset customer asked: "When will it stop? Not a happy customer! Same goes for fudge bars." And a third shopper said: "Same price, fewer bars. Not good." Cadbury told The Sun changes to product sizes is a "last resort" for the business, blaming "higher input costs" for the change. Massive new blow for Roosters as teammate joins Sam Walker in fresh setback
The Roosters' hopes of cementing their top-eight spot have copped a fresh setback, with forward Nat Butcher set to join injured halfback Sam Walker in an extended stint on the sidelines. Walker was set to play his first NRL game of the season in last week's controversial four-point defeat of Newcastle but suffered a fractured right thumb in training and was ruled out. The halfback was initially named in Trent Robinson's starting side after returning from a nine-month layoff from an ACL rupture in NSW Cup the previous week. But the luckless No.7 will have to wait another month after undergoing a successful operation on the thumb on Thursday and commencing rehabilitation on the injury. The depth of Robinson's squad will be further tested after Butcher suffered a recurrence of an MCL strain in training last week. Thankfully, the knee injury does not require surgery but it's likely to keep the versatile forward out of action for the next six weeks in a another blow for the Tri Colours. Robinson's men host North Queensland in a crucial clash at Allianz Stadium on Sunday, where a win for the 10th-placed Cowboys will see them leapfrog the Tri Colours on the ladder. Nat Butcher re-injured his MCL at Roosters training & is now expected to miss a further 6 re-injury rate is typically quite low (usually contact mechanism). Radley suffered his second game-ending head knock of the season after attempting to tackle Fletcher Hunt during the second half of the 12-8 win in Newcastle. He will now miss at least next week's clash against North Queensland, before the Roosters have their third bye of the season the following week. Worryingly, it was Radley's seven game-ending head knock in the past four seasons and he's set to consult an independent specialist this week, amid concerns from fans about his playing future. Egan Butcher will follow standard concussion rehabilitation protocols and the Roosters will be hoping to have him and Radley back for the round 18 showdown against Wests Tigers after next week's bye. Although a more cautious approach may needed to be taken with Radley due to his extension history of head knocks. Robinson will also be crossing his fingers that the Roosters' quintet of Origin stars hold up OK after Game 2 of the series on Wednesday night, having named all five for Sunday's home clash with the Cowboys. Maroons stars Robert Toia and Lindsay Collins, plus Blues trio Connor Watson, Angus Crichton and Spencer Leniu are all set to play against North Queensland in round 16 - barring injuries from Origin - and the four-day turnaround will give them the best chance to recover in time for the crunch clash. Toia's return sees rugby convert Mark Nawaqanitawase pushed out to the wing in place of Dom Young, whose return to Newcastle was confirmed after the Knights game. Sandon Smith gets the chance to continue in the halves alongside Hugo Savala in Walker's prolonged absence, while Siua Wong, Naufahu Whyte and Salesi Foketi keep their spot in the forward pack, with Makahesi Makatoa and Taylor Losalu dropping to the reserves as Robinson shuffles the deck.

‘Do the right recovery': Victor Radley to meet with independent specialist following latest head knock
Victor Radley will see an independent specialist later this week as the Roosters deal with several significant injuries, including the latest head knock to their fearless lock forward. Radley was taken from the field six minutes before halftime during Saturday's gritty win over the Knights and did not return after he failed his head injury assessment. That was his seventh failed HIA in the past four years, with the English international failing two in 2025. The Roosters have erred on the side of caution with concussions in the past, with the club confirming in its latest medical report that Radley will meet an independent specialist in the coming days. Both Radley and Egan Butcher will follow standard concussions protocols and will miss Sunday's match against the Cowboys, with the pair to have another week to recover during the round 17 bye. 'They said they were close to passing (head injury assessments),' Roosters coach Trent Robinson said following Saturday's win over the Knights. 'They're going to have this week and then our bye week, so they're going to have some rest on the back of that. 'Do the right recovery, and he gets the bonus of an extra week (off).' In further bad news for the club, halfback Sam Walker will miss a month after he suffered a fractured right thumb at training last week ahead of what would have been his first NRL appearance of the season. Walker had surgery last Thursday and has already started his rehab after missing the first half of the season as he recovered from a serious knee injury that ruled him out of the 2024 finals series. Veteran forward Nat Butcher is also set for a lengthy stint on the sidelines, with the club confirming he won't need surgery but will miss roughly six weeks after aggravating an MCL strain at training.

Thursday will represent uncharted territory for the Berlin Brothersvalley softball team as it competes in the PIAA quarterfinals for the first time in program history. For Chestnut Ridge, the Lions seek a breakthrough after reaching the same round for the third straight season and for the fourth time in five years. Advertisement District 5 Class 1A champion Berlin Brothersvalley (19-3) takes on District 10 champ Cambridge Springs (16-2) at noon Thursday at North Allegheny High School in Wexford. In Class 2A, District 5 champion Chestnut Ridge (16-6) battles District 7 champ Neshannock (23-0) at 11 a.m. Thursday at Norwin High School in North Huntingdon. Berlin Brothersvalley defeated District 7 runner-up and 2024 PIAA Class 1A runner- up Carmichaels 3-0 Monday. Freshman left-hander Sam Walker fanned six batters in a two-hit shutout. She added an RBI double in the third inning for the game's first run. Sophomore Cayley Poorbaugh scored on an errant throw in the fifth. Advertisement Junior Sydney Walker collected her second hit of the game in the sixth with a solo homer to left field for an added insurance run. Bryn Prosser, Coral Prosser, Elena Ritchey and Sam Walker are members of the softball and 2024-25 state championship basketball team for Berlin Brothersvalley. After fouling off a bunt in the sixth, Sydney Walker homered in the same at-bat, showing the Mountaineers' propensity to create on the fly. 'If something doesn't work, you got to try something else,' Sydney Walker said after she hit her sixth homer of the season. 'That's what we do.' Depth and versatility have helped Berlin Brothersvalley advance this far. Advertisement 'We have a special team this year,' Berlin Brothersvalley coach Brian Slope said. 'I tell my players all the time, no disrespect to any other teams, but our reserves would be starting on a lot of teams. We have some depth. After losing junior catcher Elsie Barna (.500 average with three homers and 14 RBIs in 15 games) May 8 to injury, freshman Bryn Prosser has filled in behind the plate. Bryn Prosser gunned down a runner at second base on a steal attempt in the fifth. 'She's our starting outfielder,' Slope said of Bryn Prosser. 'Injuries forced her to go behind the plate. Because she was willing and she had the most experience on our team, she's thriving back there. She's rising to the occasion. That was an unbelievable throw. We're on a great run at the moment.' She posted a 1.49 ERA with 62 punchouts in 47 innings before suffering an injury. Sam Walker has a 2.36 ERA with 89 strikeouts in 77 frames. She has a .493 average with 13 stolen bases, six doubles, three triples, one homer and 24 RBIs. Coral Prosser is batting .473 with 35 hits, 35 runs, 10 doubles, two triples, one homer, 14 stolen bases and 15 RBIs. Sydney Walker is hitting .412 with two doubles, six homers and 26 RBIs. Poorbaugh has driven in 20 runs. Bryn Prosser has six doubles. Cambridge Springs received two home runs and three RBIs from Jaydan Simmons in Monday's 9-0 victory over District 7 third-seeded West Greene. Kayla Crawford threw a three-hit shutout and totaled 10 strikeouts. Aubri Crawford drove in three runs. Advertisement The Berlin Brothersvalley- Cambridge Springs winner will face either District 9 champion DuBois Central Catholic or District 7 winner Union Area Monday in a semifinal. Chestnut Ridge senior right-hander Britni Motter faced 22 batters and struck out 17 in Monday's 4-0 first-round victory over Redbank Valley. The Mansfield University signee pitched four perfect innings and gave up just one hit in the fifth. Motter started her outing by striking out all nine Redbank Valley batters through the first three innings. The Lions tallied three runs in the first inning. Natalie Short delivered a two-run double. Emma Callihan added a run-scoring knock. In the sixth, Serenity Oeser produced an infield sacrifice fly to set the final. Monday's starting lineup had seniors Grace Lazor, Jenna Mauck, Motter, Nikki Shippey and Short; juniors Bree Harbaugh and Yarnell; sophomore Callihan; and freshman Izabella Datillo in it. The Lancers have won 49 straight games, the longest streak in District 7 softball history. Neshannock – which won state titles in 2012, 2022 and 2024 – beat District 10 runner-up Sharpsville 10-0 in five innings Monday. Senior right-handed pitcher Addyson Frye, a Providence College signee, allowed three singles and struck out seven in five innings. Frye, who fanned 15 in a semifinal victory, blasted a two-run homer to left in the first inning. She is 20-0 with a 0.75 ERA and 186 strikeouts in 102 innings, allowing just 12 walks and 11 earned runs. Junior Jaidon Nogay, who has two older sisters playing Division I softball at Fordham and Kent State, was 3-for-3 with three RBIs. Freshman Brenna Frengel added a run-scoring double. Senior and Kent State commit Miley Anderson produced a three-run double. Neshannock, which is 20-4 in PIAA play over its history, has outscored its opponents 263-24 this season. Since the start of the 2022 season, Neshhanock is 97-1. The Lancers' lone loss was to Everett in the 2023 state final. Frye is hitting .564 with 31 knocks, 12 doubles, seven homers, 36 RBIs and a 1.164 slugging percentage. She has drawn 19 walks compared to one strikeout. Freshman Gabriella Antuono has a .533 average with two triples and 10 RBIs. Frengel is batting .524 with three doubles and 15 RBIs. Senior catcher Gabby Quinn is committed to Kent State. She is batting .435 with six doubles, three triples, eight homers, 29 RBIs and a 1.016 slugging percentage. Anderson is hitting at a .522 clips with 41 runs, 36 hits, 13 doubles, nine triples, 14 stolen bases and 36 RBIs. Junior Payton Newman has four homers.
