Could Cardinals former MVP candidate be heading to the Dodgers?
Dodgers third baseman Max Muncy suffered a bone bruise and will miss some time in the field for the Boys in Blue, but a well-known major league name looks like a prime suspect to fill that void, that name being Cardinals hot corner Nolan Arenado.

Arenado's name was brought up multiple times during the offseason as almost a guaranteed trade prospect for the struggling Cardinals team, especially after first baseman Paul Goldschmidt left the Red Birds to sign with the New York Yankees.
But now as the Cardinals sit at 47-40, still fully in the fight for a playoff spot in the NL, there really is no guarantee at this point.
However, if the champs were to go after Arenado and bring him back home to his Southern California roots, it would be a significant boost in the defense game, Arenado owning 10 Gold Gloves to his name, and even a slight boost in offense, even though Nolan's 40-homer seasons are much in the past.
Nolan grew up in Lake Forest, CA and is an alumnus of El Toro High School, where he was teammates with fellow stellar defensive third baseman Matt Chapman.
After 80 games played in the 2025 season, Arenado currently holds a .247 batting average with 10 home runs and 41 runs batted in.
