Former Bulls owner and notable Bradford figure joins Park Avenue
The 66-year-old has been a regular visitor to Horsfall this season, and has agreed to join Gareth Roberts, Paul Armitage, David Little and Gerry Sutcliffe in the boardroom with immediate effect.
The business entrepreneur is known for his work in Bradford, from opening his famous eponymous restaurant in 1984 to raising money for the T&A South Asian Earthquake Appeal.
Khan has also demonstrated his commitment to community initiatives with 'OK in the Community'.
This project has helped support those with SEN, mental health issues and young unemployed people.
This work aligns closely with the work of the Bradford (Park Avenue) Foundation, which is sure to benefit from this exciting development at the club.
Khan has previous with sport in Bradford, having owned Bulls from 2012 to 2013.

Avenue is his focus now, and he said: "I am really excited and happy to be involved with such an historic club in the English football pyramid.
'Bradford (Park Avenue) has got a lot of history and a lot of potential with good people leading the club. I am excited about the future".
Working closely with the board is Avenue's sporting director Thomas McStravick, who said: "I am really enthusiastic to see what the future brings for us at BPA and working with Omar will enhance the possibilities.
'Together we can achieve exciting things for the club and Omar's involvement will allow us to announce some exciting news about next seasons ticket prices, especially during a difficult time for the people of our community.
'We want people to get behind us next season and have some fun with us at Horsfall."

New food store could open in building near Bradford City's grounds
A BUILDING in the shadow of Bradford City's Valley Parade ground could become a food store and butcher's if new plans are approved. The former Dewhirst Coaches building on Thornciffe Road has been vacant since the transport company shut several years ago. The new planning application would see the building converted into retail use, and says the development would create jobs as well as boost the local economy. The plans have recently been submitted to Bradford Council by Shanjid Ali. As well as the change of use of the shop, the application calls for a new canopy on the existing building, illuminated signage and three external refrigerated units. The building is just yards from Bradford City's ground and the area is often heaving with football fans on matchdays. The application says: 'The site comprises a substantial open yard that facilitated turning circles and manoeuvring for large vehicles. 'The building's former use as a storage facility makes it inherently suitable for commercial retail. 'Currently many vehicles are parked within the site from the previous use and will be removed if planning is granted.' Referring to the new retail use, the application says: 'The premises will cater to walk-in customers and local suppliers, offering chilled, frozen, and ambient food goods. 'The retail premises will operate seven days a week, between 9am and 8pm. The business will employ seven full-time members of staff. 'This (application) represents a direct contribution to the local economy and introduces employment opportunities to an otherwise inactive commercial site. 'By reintroducing viable uses to a currently underutilised site, the redevelopment will support economic regeneration.' The proposed store would have 16 parking spaces. A decision on the application is expected next month. Earlier this year an application for another major scheme on the same road – opposite the site of the food store plan – was approved by Bradford Council. Cake Box, a food company that has a base on Thorncliffe Road, had applied for permission to build new warehouse space on land next to its Manningham base. The site was the former home of Adams Fast Food Supplies until that building was destroyed in a blaze caused by a faulty electric appliance in 2021. The application for the warehouse said the company's expansion would be 'a significant capital investment in the area to secure the long-term future from an established company that is looking to expand its operation". Planners approved that application this Spring.

In partnership with theTate Liverpool, theRoyal Institute of British Architects (RIBA)presents a Fall 2025 exhibition centered on a quintessentially English sporting culture. 'Home Ground: The Architecture of Football' at Gallery One of Tate Liverpool traces the historical development of football stadium design, dating from the 1890s to the present day. Featuring more than 50 global football stadiums, the Fall 2025 exhibit will dive into the stories and plans for some of the world's most important football venues. As the city prepares for the eventual opening of the Hill Dickinson Stadium in Liverpool in 2027, a wealth of architectural models, photographs, and other archival materials will grant visitors insight into the architectural considerations that form the stadium experience and the accompanying social culture of football fandom. 'Football has a unique ability to stir emotions, cross borders and captivate the world,' shared RIBA President, Muyiwa Oki in a statement. 'At their best, stadiums are as iconic as the players themselves, etched into the hearts of fans long after the final whistle. For architects, they offer a rare opportunity to help shape the beautiful game.' From Everton to Chelsea, the exhibit will start at the foundations of modern stadiums led by early designers like Archibald Leitch, one of the foremost club architects in the early 20th century. RIBA then offers a snapshot of modern stadiums designed by firms like BDP, Populous, Herzog & de Meuron, gmp von Gerkan, Marg and Partners Architects. 'From the red and blue cauldron of Barcelona's Nou Camp to the iconic arch of Wembley rising in the backdrop of London, great design can amplify atmosphere, heighten drama and leave a lasting mark on a city's skylines,' Oki added. Popular dessert business applies for licence to open until 3am
A POPULAR Bradford takeaway dessert business has applied for a licence to open until 3am. Brownie Pointss on Mount Street specialises in products like ice creams, luxury brownies, and iced teas. Despite its unassuming location in a mainly industrial area of the city, Brownie Pointss has proved hugely popular, and videos of the desserts on offer have been viewed hundreds of thousands of times on social media platforms like TikTok. The business has applied to Bradford Council for a licence to serve late-night refreshments until 3am. Its current opening hours are listed online as 11am to midnight on Sunday to Thursday and 11am to 1am on Fridays and Saturdays. A decision on the licence will be made later this summer.
