PHOTOS: Magic Hour Rooftop transforms into a sky-high floral fantasy with 1,000s of flowers
Created in collaboration with design firm Geo Events and Design House Decor, Full Bloom turns the west terrace into a kaleidoscopic garden in the sky. Expect vines tangled with checkerboards and waves, a whimsical carousel cocooned in oversized flowers and a 12-foot-tall technicolor bouquet at the center of it all—a surreal sculpture garden centerpiece made for Instagram and awe alike.
'We wanted to design something that felt surreal yet joyful—like stepping into the pages of a storybook,' said Azizan Ali of Design House Decor. And from the six-foot-tall daisies to the immersive floral skyline, they nailed it.
But the fantasy doesn't stop at the décor. Executive Chef Ben-Galy Cisse and senior director of beverage Nikki McCutcheon have rolled out an all-new garden-inspired menu with dishes like wagyu pigs in a blanket and lobster rolls, plus floral-themed desserts and drinks. Sip your way through a 'bouquet of spritzes' (yes, that's really what it's called) served in iridescent vases, or try the Lavender Haze, made from Prosecco with a dash of lavender syrup and lemon. Non-drinkers can get in on the action too with fizz-forward mocktails like the Soft Launch.
Full Bloom will also be hosting a packed lineup of summer programming, from drag brunches and celeb DJ sets to creative pop-ups and collabs with NYC icons. Weekend brunches run Saturdays and Sundays with sweet-and-savory options like crème brûlée French toast and a Dubai chocolate croissant.
And if you're planning a bachelorette bash or a rooftop brand launch, the space is available for full buyouts—just be ready for your guests to stop and smell the (gigantic) roses. RYAN MOORE showed just why he is considered the best jockey on the planet with an epic winning ride on Delacroix in the Coral-Eclipse. Aidan O'Brien, who has just the eight Eclipse wins to his name, was just as dumbfounded as the rest of us as the well-punted 3-1 second favourite dramatically surged from nowhere to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. He said: 'I couldn't believe it, they went hard and then they steadied it, and then they went again. Ryan kept calm and came with one go at the leader, it was a masterful ride, it was mind-blowing. 'He said his plan changed about four times during the race, I thought he'd try to lead but it didn't work out and he ended up where he did. 'You leave it up to him, he knows the horses, there is always a Plan A, B and C, I'd say that was Plan Z.' It was Plan Z because the original thought had been that Delacroix, who flopped as 2-1 favourite in the Derby last month, would try to grab the early lead in the six-runner field. But he ended up being shuffled back through the pack as French horse Sosie and outsider Hotazhell took it up, and the winner was running up a blind alleyway as they rounded the bend for home. And then, just as he was getting rolling, stablemate Camille Passarro nipped up on his outer and boxed him in, costing him precious momentum and room at a crucial point in the race. Moore managed to angle him out, gather him together and unleash him with a sweeping run to catch 6-4 jolly Ombudsman was a ridiculously impressive win. It was the sort of escape act that would have made Harry Houdini proud. Moore said: 'He began OK, nobody really wanted to make the running and it was a bit messy. 'William (Buick) wanted the same position as me and he was on a bigger, stronger, older horse so I had to give way. 'Ombudsman got first run on me but Delacroix is a very good horse with a mighty turn of foot, and he quickened up really well. 'It was a steadily run race for that class of horse, but his change of gear made the difference, it got him out of trouble. 'He was the only horse in the race who hadn't won a Group 1 but he has threatened to for a long time, he is a big, strong, beautiful horse so it is great to get this one.' Usually the master of understatement, that's about as effusive as Moore is going to get. This must be a good horse. It was a brilliant race and the good news is he will likely meet Ombudsman again for round two at York in next month's Juddmonte International. That is very likely to be the runner-up's target as a philosophical John Gosden took the defeat on the chin. He said: 'I did warn people beforehand it could be a messy race and that's how it turned out, but he has run a brilliant race. 'We got caught a little bit wide and the winner has just come with one strong run and done us, but that's racing. 'I don't think we were helped out by the tight gap between this race and the Prince Of Wales's at Ascot, it is only 17 days, so when you consider that he's run a great race.' The Channel 4 show sets people looking for love up on a dreamy first date with the hopes that they might just find their perfect person, or at least make a sweet new connection. Now in its 24th season, each episode brings together a wide variety of people from all walks of life. In the latest episode alone, we saw a couple pushing the boat out to see if they could add a third into their relationship in a surprise twist. But there's one unexpected dater who has melted everyone's hearts with his charm – old-timey tune singing Derek. The almost 90-year-old was introduced on the show as someone 'ready to serenade his way into one lucky lady's heart'. 'I don't feel I age because at 89 I feel 65 or less,' he said with a chuckle, joking to the host and French maître d'hôtel Fred Sirieix that he is '89 going on 20′. 'I'm old school, open doors, lift the chair, take a lady's coat,' he said about his courting style with the hopes of meeting someone who is 'bubbly and outgoing'. Enter June, 77, from Avesbury who also has a love for music (including the iconic Dolly Parton). The pair instantly hit it off, complimenting one another's looks. Elsewhere in the episode, Derek spoke about losing his late wife three years ago. 'I sent my wife Valentine's cards every year we were married for 65 years,' he told the show as he started tearing up. 'I miss her terribly, still think about her everyday, I say good night to her, I say good morning to her, she's there. All in all, she made me a better person. 'But as my friends and family say you got move on Derek, live your life,' he concluded, talking about how his children have encouraged him to find someone new. Needless to say, June wasn't the only person Derek was wooing. 'Watching Derek 89 on First Dates reminds me of how magically Ricky Gervais captures the importance of the person's backstory which he's scripted beautifully in After Life. 'Life's characters can be fabulous & fascinating & by actively listening to their journey it's just magic,' bikegotold said. Kate's summer holiday plans - and they're major change for William
The summer holidays have officially started for Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis - and royal expert Jennie Bond has revealed what the Prince and Princess of Wales might have in store for them during their break With the summer in full swing, the royals can finally look forward to their annual break. And the holidays have started even sooner for the children of the Prince and Princess of Wales, who have officially come to the end of another school year. Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 10, and seven-year-old Prince Louis are now on their summer break from Lambrook School before heading back to class in September. Their parents William and Kate will likely have some fun plans in store for their children - but before that, they both have a huge royal duty to carry out. Next week will see them officially welcome French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte to the UK and take part in their glittering state visit. But once that huge duty is over, they can start to look towards their holidays - and royal expert Jennie Bond believes the break will be very different to the ones William used to enjoy when he was younger. The former BBC royal correspondent told the Mirror: "The truth is that school holidays are ringfenced as private time for the Prince and Princess of Wales and their young family. And, these days, that means that their plans remain confidential and they are pretty much left alone. "It's a massive change from the days when William was a boy. Back then, the paparazzi regarded Diana, William and Harry as public property, no matter where they were. Thankfully, after the death of the Princess, things changed. And that must be a huge relief to the Waleses. "That's not to say William will disappear from public duties – there's the incoming State Visit from President Macron, for example, and I'm sure there will be a handful of other engagements which he will take on. Catherine will devote herself largely to looking after the children, but we may see her at events like Wimbledon and the State Visit." It's likely the Wales family will be keen to get away from their Windsor home, Adelaide Cottage and decamp to Norfolk, where they can immerse themselves in nature. Just this week Kate, who spoke about her 'rollercoaster' recovery from cancer treatment and its life-changing impact, visited a wellbeing garden at a hospital to highlight the environment's healing powers. And Jennie believes the whole family loves the great outdoors. She explained: "The family is likely to be based at their Norfolk home, Anmer Hall, for most of the long summer break. They love the wide open spaces there, the freedom they have to explore the Sandringham estate and also to play, pretty unhindered, on the beaches. "The Sandringham farm offers an opportunity for all sorts of fun for the children: tractors to watch, animals to feed and fruit to pick. The family is also very fond of the Scilly Isles and I wouldn't be surprised if they spent a week or two there." But while any location for a holiday would remain private, Jennie says there is definitely one destination they will be paying a visit to this summer - Balmoral. Each year, the royals head up to the Scottish Highlands estate to enjoy quality family time together with the King and Queen, enjoying picnics, barbecues and long walks. And Jennie added: "They will almost certainly head north of the border for a week sometime in August when the King and Queen will be in residence at Balmoral. "It's a long-standing tradition that the family gather in Scotland to catch their breath, enjoy the peace of the countryside and just have fun being together."
