Aston Martin reveals track-day version of Valkyrie Le Mans Hypercar
The Aston Martin Valkyrie LM Hypercar boasts the same maximum power output of 520kW (697bhp) from its 6.5-litre V12 as the World Endurance Championship and IMSA Sportscar Championship contender.

The differences between the two cars represent, said Aston head of endurance motorsport Adam Carter, 'only a few minor deviations to ensure it is a non-homologated variant and is accessible for customers to experience and enjoy'.

This will include the removal of FIA-regulation electronics, a bespoke cockpit interface tailored for track days and the use of Pirelli rather than Michelin tyres.
'Valkyrie LM represents the most authentic Hypercar track experience that is now available,' he continued.

Production of the Valkyrie LM will be limited to 10 cars, whose owners will be able to take part in a special programme during Aston's so-called 'Unleashed' track experience events.
Deliveries of the first Valkyrie LMs will start in the middle of 2026 ahead of two track days at Aston Unleashed' events later in the year. Aston has put the price of the Valkyrie LM at 'circa $5 million Usd. plus taxes'.

Aston Martin will look after the cars and offer a driver development programme tailored, it explained, 'to support harness and optimise their driving ability and provide them with the ultimate top-flight motorsport experience'.
The British manufacturer is taking a leaf out of Ferrari's book after the launch of the Modificata version of its two-time Le Mans-winning 499P LMH.
Ferrari is understood to have sold well in excess of 20 Modificatas, which take part in its Clienti events, since its launch at the end of 2023.
The Ferrari, however, is different in key areas to the LMH – one of these a push-to-pass power boost from its hybrid system, which increases peak power to 640kW or 860bhp.

Deliveries of the first Valkyrie LMs will start in the middle of next year ahead of two track days at Formula 1-grade circuits later in the year.
Plans to race the Valkyrie in the WEC were announced in 2019 before being put on hold early the following year, but development of the still-born LMH fed into the AMR Pro track day car.
This car was the starting point for the development of the LMH that entered competition this year.

With the club's continued pursuit for Alexander Isak, there have been a few question marks over the Frenchman's arrival. And why go for Isak, when you already have Ekitike? These are valid questions. Although, assessing Liverpool's attacking options, and the number of them who could leave, will give you an answer as to why Isak and Ekitike are both needed. As for whether they can play together, the answer is simple: yes. Neither of them are typical old-fashioned no.9s. They are dynamic players, who are fluid in their style of play. Isak, at the moment is more of a poacher (for now) but Ekitike can also thrive inside the box. What he excels at is high linking-up play, creativity and his ability to take on defenders one vs one. Not to mention, he's a workhorse, who will continue to press his opponents. All of these traits, make him into an unpredictable and formidable no.9. However, they can also make him into a left-winger. Ekitike spoke about his style of play in his first official interview for the club, describing the following: "I can't define myself only as a striker [who likes] to finish: I like to play, I like to be in the game, in the collective part of play [and] create also. So, I can do both - I can play alone and I like to play also with another striker," he said. So how could this work? In theory, Ekitike could play in behind Isak. But then where would Florian Wirtz play? Another option is for the Frenchman to drift out-wide onto the left flank. Where he has played before. Most notably, in his first season as a professional back at Vejle Boldklub in Denmark, Ekitike was often used as a left-winger. In the games that he played as a left-winger, Ekitike made two assists in four games, and he also averaged 4.6 dribblers per 90 minutes completing 77.8% of his attempts. Those are remarkable numbers, although it's a small sample size. Nonetheless, his managers at the time were certainly blown away. Speaking of Ekitike to Anfield Watch former Vejle assistant manager Dumitru Uzunea likened the Frenchman to Johan Cruyff after his performances: "After he played three or five games, if you look at him in training, his legs, his body I think you can compare him with the ex big player of Netherlands, Johan Cruyff." Those are big comparisons and we are in no way insinuating that Ekitike should become as good as one of the most legendary figures in football. However, the fact that a football professional has made those links would at least suggest that he could be suited to play on the wing. Another big factor behind this could be that he had played as a left-winger at Reims, Paris Saint Germain and even in one game against RB Leipzig at Frankfurt in his career so far. In those games, he's averaged 0.65 goal contributions, which is very good considering most of his minutes were for Reims and Vejle as a left-winger and both of those teams were fighting for relegation.

Southampton midfielder Primus signs new deal
Southampton midfielder Atlanta Primus has signed a new one-year contract with the club ahead of the 2025/2026 season. The Saints announced the news via a post on their official club website earlier today. The 28-year-old midfielder joined Southampton in summer 2023 after opting to leave former club London City Lionesses at the end of her contract. The Saints acquired her services after she starred for the Jamaican national team at the FIFA Women's World Cup Australia and New Zealand 2023. Primus was very much the standout performer for The Reggae Girlz as they battled bravely at the tournament. Primus made 19 appearances in all competitions for Southampton in her first season at St Mary's Stadium. She then joined The Saints' Barclays WSL2 rivals Charlton Athletic on loan for the whole of last season. Some may have wondered whether Primus' time as a Saint was over, however, the player has agreed to sign a new one-year contract and begin the new era under recently-appointed head coach Simon Parker. After signing on again at St Mary's Stadium, Primus said 'I'm really happy to have re-signed, it's an exciting time ahead and I'm really looking forward to the new season.'
