Suzuki has taken the wraps off the 2026 GSX-8R internationally, introducing multiple functional changes. The latest Suzuki GSX-8R brings aerodynamic refinements, subtle ergonomic tweaks, and new colour options.
The 2026 GSX-8R is part of a broader update to Suzuki's global range, which includes minor revisions to models like the GSX-8S, SV650 ABS, GSX-R600, and Burgman 400. But like the 8R, these updates seem to favour gradual evolution rather than major redesigns. 2026 Suzuki GSX-8R: Design
At the centre of the update is a redesigned fairing, which Suzuki says was developed with the help of wind tunnel testing to enhance airflow and improve stability at high speeds. The windscreen design is narrower and sleeker than before, which should lead to a better riding experience.

To match the aerodynamic changes, Suzuki has slightly altered the riding position. New forged aluminium handlebars are placed lower than before, giving the GSX-8R a more forward-leaning stance without going all-in on track-focused ergonomics. The footpeg and seat setup remains largely familiar, continuing the bike's reputation as a sportbike that leans toward everyday usability. 2026 Suzuki GSX-8R: Colour options
Visually, the GSX-8R gets two new colour options, Pearl Tech White and Glass Blaze Orange, in addition to the returning Metallic Triton Blue. The graphics have also been revised, drawing inspiration from the GSX-8S, another model in Suzuki's expanding middleweight lineup.

Mechanically, there are no major changes. The 776cc parallel-twin engine with a 270-degree crank continues to power the bike, churning out 81 hp at 8,500 rpm along with 78 Nm of peak torque at 6,800 rpm. Other hardware, like the Showa SFF-BP front fork, Nissin brakes, and Dunlop Roadsport 2 tyres, carry over unchanged. The electronics package remains intact, too, with three ride modes, traction control, a bi-directional quickshifter, and a five-inch TFT display.
For riders expecting a next-generation leap, the 2026 GSX-8R may not feel dramatically different but offers incremental refinement in comfort, wind protection, and colours.

Suzuki has taken the covers off the 2026 iteration of the GSX-8R, along with multiple other models in the global lineup. This version of the middle-weight supersport motorcycle comes with changes in its styling aimed at improving the aerodynamics of the bike, along with an extended list of features. The list of other upgraded models includes GSX-8S, SV650 ABS, GSX-R750, GSX-R600, DR650S, Burgman 400, and others. Starting with the details, the 2026 Suzuki GSX-8R comes with changes in fairing design. These changes have been made after multiple tests in the wind tunnel. With this, the motorcycle will offer more stability at higher speeds. Simultaneously, the rider will get better wind protection. To complete the package, the brand is offering a sleeker windscreen to reduce buffeting while riding. Along with the existing Metallic Triton Blue, the brand is now offering two new colours called Pearl Tech White and Glass Blaze Orange. Along with the aesthetic changes, a few ergonomic adjustments have been made to improve the riding posture without leaning too heavily toward a track-oriented design. The Suzuki GSX-8R is now equipped with forged aluminium separate handlebars that are positioned lower than previous models. While the Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (SIRS) remains unchanged, it now offers greater customization options for its features. Riders can enjoy a three-mode Drive Mode Selector, a four-mode Advanced Traction Control System, and Low RPM Assist to facilitate easier operation at slower speeds. Meanwhile, the powertrain remains the same 776 cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine as the V-Strom 800 DE, making 81 hp at 8,500 rpm along with 78 Nm of peak torque at 6,800 rpm. The e-Vitara is slated to launch in India in September 2025, right ahead of the festive season. It is going to be the first electric car from the biggest car manufacturer in India, in terms of sales volume. With just two months left before the launch of the electric SUV, range and charging details of the Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara have been revealed. With the made-in-India Suzuki e-Vitara already introduced in the UK, the specification sheet reveals that the electric SUV promises to squeeze a range of up to 426 km (WLTP) on a full charge, while the battery pack is capable of charging 10-80 per cent in just 45 minutes, using a DC fast charger. Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara: Range and charging The Suzuki e-Vitara sold in the UK market is available in two battery pack options - 49 kWh and 61 kWh units. The smaller battery pack offers a WLTP claimed range of up to 344 km on a single charge. This battery pack is available with a single front-wheel drive setup that churns out 142 bhp of peak power and 193 Nm of maximum torque. The bigger battery pack is available with both FWD and AWD options. The FWD variant promises up to 426 km range on a full charge. The electric motor paired with this battery pack in the FWD version generates 171 bhp peak power and 193 Nm of maximum torque. On the other hand, the dual electric motor-equipped version generates 181 bhp peak power and 307 Nm of maximum torque. The battery pack on this variant offers up to 395 km of range on a single charge. Speaking of the charging time for the battery packs, the 49 kWh battery pack is capable of charging 10-100 per cent using a 7 kW AC charger in 6.5 hours, while an 11 kW AC charger does the same in 4.5 hours. For the 61 kWh battery pack, the time is increased to nine hours and 5.5 hours, respectively. Both battery packs can be charged from 10 to 80 per cent in just 45 minutes using a DC fast charger.
