Charlize Theron commands attention in a backless satin blouse as she signs autographs for fans while promoting The Old Guard 2 in New York City
Charlize Theron made sure to turn heads on Tuesday in a daring backless pink blouse as she promoted her new thriller The Old Guard 2 in New York City.
The Oscar-winner, 49, looked sensational in the halterneck number which she paired with black tailored wide legged trousers.
Charlize elevated her frame in a pair of quirky heels and accessorised with a pair of small gold hoop earrings.
Styling her bobbed blonde tresses in a sleek up do, the American star completed her ensemble with a pair of sunglasses.
Charlize flashed her gorgeous smile as she stopped to sign autographs and pose for photos with fans.
The action movie wrapped filming around three years ago but will finally be released in July.
The film was picked up again last year after delays, including Netflix going through 'a lot of changes'.
Speaking at her Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project Block Party, Charlize told Variety last year: 'We got kind of stuck in that and our post-production shut down, I think, five weeks into it.
'Netflix went through quite a changeover. They were going through a lot of changes, and I totally understand it,' she noted.
She added: 'We finally picked it back up and I'm really excited about it. It's really good. It's a really important film to us. I only wanted to do it if we could make it amazing. I really love this movie.'
In June 2022, Uma Thurman and Henry Golding joined the cast of the superhero sequel, alongside returning cast members Charlize, KiKi Layne, Matthias Schoenaerts, Marwan Kenzari, Luca Marinelli, Veronica Ngo and Chiwetel Ejiofor.
The sequel will be helmed by Victoria Mahoney, after Gina Prince-Bythewood stepped down from the role.
Charlize plays the lead role of warrior Andromache of Scythia, and the plot once again comes from Greg Rucka and Leandro Fernandez's graphic novel series.
The first movie followed a team of immortal mercenaries on a revenge mission.
It comes after Charlize revealed her children have 'zero respect' for her award-winning acting career.
The actress appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live last week looking stunning in a glamorous black blazer dress and a sheer floor-length skirt as she discussed her children's thoughts on her career.
Charlize's motherhood journey began when she adopted Jackson, 11, in 2012 and daughter August, seven, in 2015.
But it seems her children are not phased by the fact she's a huge movie star or features on billboards, as she told Jimmy, 'my children have zero respect for me' when asked if they are impressed by her career.
Laughing towards the audience, she said: 'My children have zero respect for me. I don't know how, it's just unbelievable.
'I feel like I'm pretty humble, but every once in a while I'm like there's a f*****g Oscar right there.'
The audience and Jimmy erupted into laughter as she added: 'No, they're so not impressed with me.'
Charlize became the first South African to win an acting Oscar when she picked up the Best Actress gong for 2003 drama, Monster.
Recalling picking up her daughter the day before, she explained: 'I was picking up my youngest from dance yesterday and we drove past that new Mission Impossible poster, where Tom Cruise is hanging onto some like yellow plane.
'And he just looks really cool, and my kids were with me when I shot Old Guard 2, and I worked on this incredibly intricate sequence where we brought in this amazing helicopter pilot, Fred North, and we were gonna choreograph this incredible scene.
'Like me fighting helicopters and jumping on this real helicopter and hanging off and shooting like 99 per cent of it on a real helicopter, as it's like trying to shake me off like a ragdoll, and we took two weeks to shoot this sequence.
'And I was like, "Wow, I just did that" That's really amazing. And my child yesterday, just looked at this poster of Tom Cruise and went "That's weird, he looks so much cooler than you did when you were hanging off that helicopter"
She laughed, adding: 'I was just like, "but I hung off the helicopter, like just some credit".'
The action movie is set to launch globally on the streaming service Netflix on July 2, 2025.

Meghan Markle gives a glimpse into her 'weekend plans' in new As Ever post after launch of latest products - and fans are delighted by a hidden detail
Meghan Markle gave her fans an insight into her relaxing weekend plans via Instagram on Saturday. On Saturday, the Duchess of Sussex, 43, shared a snap of her out in the garden picking fresh fruits to her lifestyle brand, As Ever's Instagram account. She captioned the image: 'Weekend plans: pick, snack, repeat,' followed by a peach emoji. In the image Meghan can be seen standing under a fruit tree reaching up while dressed in a relaxed outfit which included a monogrammed wide-brimmed straw hat. The duchess had her hair pulled back into a low messy bun and was wearing a white linen button-down and had the hat hanging over her back. Eagle-eyed fans were able to track down Meghan's hat and noticed she had customised it to suit her specific style. The Mariella Vilar Rancher hat is available for purchase online for $105, or £76, but is currently sold out with only waitlist slots open for potential buyers. The stylish accessory can be made custom to each customer by choosing the chin strap and adding a burnt branded monogram. Fan account Meghansclosetchronicles on Instagram pointed out that the duchess has customised her sun hat by adding a single 'M' monogram and a 'Boot Leather' strap in the shade 'Camel.' The new snap comes after Meghan shared her plans last weekend with a sun-soaked beach pic. She captioned the post: 'That weekend feeling' followed by a sun emoji and musical notes. In the image, the duchess is seen walking barefoot along the sand, dressed in a relaxed cream button-down and matching white shorts, completing the look with oversized sunglasses and a wide-brimmed sun hat. The post offers a rare candid glimpse into her off-duty style - and showcases her enviably toned legs. Meghan shared the photo with her 3.9 million Instagram followers, although fans weren't able to leave messages of support since Prince Harry 's wife has comments turned off on all her posts. The decision to limit interaction on her account has sparked disappointment, though it's consistent with her controlled return to the platform. The new post follows the official launch of Meghan's lifestyle brand, As Ever, which debuted in April 2025. Since then, she has consistently shared promotional content and product updates, including the release of fruit spreads, jams, and baking mixes. The brand has been positioned as a modern, upscale take on domestic living and has quickly gained traction online. Her Instagram account features a mix of personal snapshots and As Ever product features, offering followers a curated look at her life in California. The latest beachside photo does not appear to be tied to the brand, but comes amid steady engagement on her main page and the As Ever handle. Earlier this month, she revealed a trio of new products as she launched a Napa Valley rosé wine, an apricot spread and a new honey. Meghan shared the photo with her 3.9 million Instagram followers, although fans weren't able to leave messages of support since Prince Harry 's wife has comments turned off on all her posts There has been no official statement from Meghan regarding Lauren and Jeff's weekend wedding in Italy. She has not commented on her absence or addressed the event publicly. Other noticeable missing celebrities from the festivities include Eva Longoria and Katy Perry. Prince Harry's last public appearance was made just a day earlier in New York City where he sat down with NEXUS co-founder and CEO Rachel Gerrol to speak about impact and service. His last visit to the Big Apple was when he accompanied Meghan to support her for her appearance on the Time100 panel.

Why Beyoncé is being accused of villainising Native Americans
Beyoncé is facing criticism for a T-shirt worn during a Juneteenth performance on her 'Cowboy Carter' tour, featuring images of the Buffalo Soldiers, Black US Army units active in the late 1800s and early 1900s. The controversy arises from a description on the shirt that labels "warring Indians" and " Mexican revolutionaries" as "enemies of peace, order and settlement". Critics, including Indigenous influencers, argue the language villainises Native Americans and Mexican revolutionaries, promoting anti-Indigenous sentiment. Historians acknowledge the complex role of the Buffalo Soldiers, noting their involvement in the US Army's violent campaigns against Indigenous peoples during westward expansion. A publicist for Beyoncé has not responded to requests for comment regarding the backlash, which has gained significant attention on social media.
