Jennifer Love Hewitt is turning heads with a rare red carpet appearance.
In one of her only red carpet jaunts over the last six years, the actress turned heads in a black dress adorned with beads at the July 14 premiere of the newest film in the "I Know What You Did Last Summer" franchise. While debuting copper locks, she paired her all-black look with sparkling heels and rings.
Hewitt, 46, rose to fame with costar Freddie Prinze Jr., 49, in the original 1997 film "I Know What You Did Last Summer." In the film, Hewitt's character, Julie James, was among the teen targets of a mysterious killer.
In the 2025 version (in theaters July 18), the plot takes place nearly 30 years after the murders wreaked havoc on the small North Carolina town. In the film, new victims (played by Madelyn Cline, Chase Sui Wonders, Jonah Hauer-King, Tyriq Withers and Sarah Pidgeon) – who are targeted by a mysterious killer – seek help from Prinze and Hewitt's characters.

Hewitt and Prinze were members of a quasi-Brat Pack including fellow Hollywood stars like Prinze's wife Sarah Michelle Gellar, whom he met while filming the first movie. Ryan Phillippe, Johnny Galecki and Anne Heche also starred in the original.

Both the "Last Summer" series and 1998's "Can't Hardly Wait" became cult classics, cementing Hewitt as a '90s teen idol, but Hewitt got candid last year about the public's response to how she grows older.
Though the actress said "it's not personally hard" for her to embrace aging, for fans, it's a different story. "I feel like fans pick … this age that they love that they think represents you, and you're never supposed to grow beyond that," she told Fox News, referencing a quote from Taylor Swift's documentary "Miss Americana" in which the pop star says something similar.
"People seem to have a really hard time accepting that … I don't look that way anymore," Hewitt said.
"Whatever it is, you just want to have the freedom to be whoever you are at that age," Hewitt added. "And it's hurtful sometimes when people reject you as you are verbally on Instagram or the internet because they're having a hard time adjusting to it."

Remembering Anne Burrell: New 'Worst Cooks' cohost Gabe Bertaccini says 'she really cared'
While watching a recent season of 'Worst Cooks in America,' chef Gabriele 'Gabe' Bertaccini made a note on his phone to talk to his agent about hosting one of Food Network's signature offerings. 'And then I forgot about it for, like, six months,' Bertaccini, co-host of the network's Tuscany-set 'Ciao House' tells USA TODAY. 'And then my agent calls me.' Bertaccini, 39, leaped at the chance to be a part of the 'iconic show with the iconic Anne Burrell.' Burrell, known for having no appetite for nonsense, a megawatt smile and coiffed platinum locks, has served as mentor for all but one of the show's 29 seasons. The series returns July 28 (9 ET/PT, streaming the next day on HBO Max). Burrell died June 17, and 'Worst Cooks in America: Talented and Terrible' will be Burrell's last season, and Bertaccini's first. I'm sad that she's not here anymore, but I know that she would love to see herself in this season and she would really enjoy actually reliving all these crazy moments that we had together.' In the show, two chefs divide a group of struggling culinary hopefuls into opposing teams and sharpen their cooking skills through tips and tutorials so that a cook from their team can survive elimination and walk away with a sweet-as-pie cash prize of $25,000. This season's kitchen catastrophes comprises an array of performers, including a belly dancer, opera singer, professional roller skater and puppeteer. 'It was basically like having a kindergarten class in front of me and teaching,' Bertaccini says before quickly backtracking. 'They would have done better if they were kids. … These recruits really have no idea how to cook.' Bertaccini says Burrell warned him – ahead of the first cook when the participants freestyle and prepare a signature dish without coaching – that he would be shocked. He says she'd say: ''I just want to tell you, no matter how much you prepare yourself, this is going to be really bad. You're going to look and be speechless.'' And speechless he was. 'I remember having the producer telling me in my ear, like, 'Gabriele, can you say something?' I'm like, 'I'm just sitting here watching this train crash, and I don't have any feedback because I don't know where to start.'' And even though Bertaccini and Burrell battled, they became friends after 'spending 12 hours a day together for three weeks' on the set, he says. When Bertaccini caught a bad cold just before filming the finale, Burrell surprised him with a card and small crocheted heart. 'She loved to crochet, so she would sit down everywhere − at the bar, the restaurant, in a production meeting – and she would crochet and talk to you,' Bertaccini says. 'It was a way to relax and to focus. But what really struck me is that the night before she went home, and after a 14-hour shoot day, she made me a little heart. And she brought me a card saying, like: 'I hope you feel better. It was great shooting with you. I know this is the last day, good luck with the finale.'' 'And I think that it's really what I carry with me: the idea that she cared, not only about of course the show but about the people that work on the show, about the recruits. Dennis Quaid says 'every day is paradise' with wife 39 years his junior
Dennis Quaid is living the dream. It's been five years since the "Sovereign" star, 71, married Laura Savoie, 32, and he's still firmly in the honeymoon stage. "My life is paradise," Quaid told Fox News Digital when asked what he loves most about his wife. "Every day is paradise with her. It really is." He continued, "It's the closest relationship I've ever had with anybody. Every day is paradise. What can I tell you? I don't know why God had waited so long to bring her, for her to come along, but [I'm] really glad he brought her into my life, or I walked into hers." The couple married in June 2020 in Santa Barbara, California, after meeting a year earlier at a business event while she was working toward her second master's degree at the Texas McCombs School of Business, according to her LinkedIn profile. There's a significant age difference between the two, but as Quaid told Fox News Digital last year, he doesn't notice it. "I haven't spoken out about the age difference of my wife. Other people have. But…I really don't think about it," he admitted. "She's got so much going on that, you know, I just don't notice it. She's just, she's the light of my life." "I wasn't looking for it, and she came along, and it's God put us together," he added. In 2019, after Quaid became engaged to Savoie, he told The Guardian that all the attention they'd received for their age gap was "really a laugh." He explained, "I didn't go out looking for an age gap or someone really younger than me. I met her at a business event and then the relationship developed. You have no control over who you fall in love with. I don't fall in love easy. But I can't let what a few people think control all that. I've been married three times and this is the final one, I know it is. I feel like I have a real partner in life." Quaid's first wife was actress P.J. Soles. They were married in 1978 and split five years later. In 1991, he and Meg Ryan were wed, and in 2004, three years after divorcing the "When Harry Met Sally" star, he married real estate broker Kimberly Buffington. They divorced in 2018. "It really doesn't bother us," he told The Guardian of the backlash to his engagement with Savoie. "Everyone comes from the perspective of their own life and so I can't comment on the way they feel; I can't even get angry." The couple had originally planned a Hawaiian wedding, but when the COVID-19 pandemic hit, their plans shifted. Instead of their planned nuptials, they eloped: on June 2, 2020, they were married at a seaside resort in Santa Barbara, California, with only their pastor as their witness. "Just looking into her eyes, she was the most stunning bride," Quaid told People of the intimate affair. Savoie told the outlet that she has "never met someone who is so in love with life. It's like nothing can bring him down." She added, "Just getting to do life with someone who lives that way is inspiring for me. It changes my perspective and it brings so much joy to every day." "It was love at first sight," Quaid insisted. "I just love who she is as a person. Her character, her intelligence, of course, her beauty. And her point of view of the world." He repeated similar sentiments about the difference in their ages, telling People, "There's just something timeless about us, while Savoie said that she appreciates certain things about her husband's maturity, "like the wisdom that Dennis has." "We both had to go through things to be who we are now and who we are now was ready for each other." According to Quaid, their shared faith played a role in their quick connection as well. "We're both Christians, and right from the start God has always had a hand in the relationship," he said. "I think that's where the real strength comes from."
