Pete Davidson ‘couldn't be more excited' to fulfill ‘dream' of becoming a father

Pete Davidson is about to land his biggest role yet — and it's not on the big screen. The 31-year-old 'Saturday Night Live' alum is expecting his first baby with his girlfriend Elsie Hewitt, whom he has been romantically involved with since March, according to E! News. Hewitt announced her pregnancy on July 16 with a series of photos and videos on Instagram. On July 22, Davidson opened up about his upcoming role as a father while promoting his new horror film 'The Home,' which is set to be released July 25. 'I'm very lucky and very, very happy,' he told E! News at the film's New York premiere. 'I assume you just try to give them what you didn't have, and what you didn't like, not do it,' he explained, adding that he's most excited to 'take care of something and show it the childhood I didn't have.' Davidson has even received some sound advice from fellow 'SNL' stars Adam Sandler and Colin Jost. 'Everybody's just been super excited for me, because they know it's been my dream,' Pete added. 'They all just have been like, 'You're going to be great at this. It's the best thing you'll ever do in your life.'' In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, also at the premiere, Davidson noted that being a father has 'been my dream forever, since I was a little kid.' 'Honestly, I couldn't be more excited,' he told Entertainment Tonight. The 'Bupkis' actor later praised his girlfriend and described her as one of his 'favorite people.' 'The baby's mother is one of my favorite people to exist ever. She's going to be a great mom,' he told ET. 'I'm just stoked and I hope to be the dad that I hope that I would have.' Davidson has been open about wanting to be a father for several years. During a 2022 appearance on Kevin Hart's 'Hart to Heart' talk show, Davidson described fatherhood as his 'favorite thing ever' that he has yet to achieve. 'That's like my dream. It's like, super corny,' Davidson, who was dating Kim Kardashian at the time, told Hart. 'It would be so fun. Dress up the little dude,' he added. 'That's kind of what I'm just preparing for now, is just trying to be as good as a dude, develop and get better so when that happens it's just easier.' Now that he has a baby on the way, Davidson says it's the only thing that matters. 'I did it!' he quipped to Jimmy Fallon during his July 22 appearance on 'The Tonight Show.' 'Anybody who knows me, it's my dream to be a dad, so I'm so excited, Elsie is excited, I'm excited to see her be a mom,' he continued. 'It's the best. Everything else doesn't really matter anymore. It's nice.' Davidson and Hewitt sparked relationship rumors in March after photos of the couple on vacation together went viral online, according to The Daily Mail. Their relationship was confirmed by E! News and Us Weekly shortly after. The couple were then spotted courtside at a New York Knicks game on April 6 before making their red carpet debut at the Endometriosis Foundation of America's annual fundraising gala in May. Hewitt, who has endometriosis, brought Davidson as her date to the gala, per Us Weekly. Hewitt has been linked to Jason Sudeikis, Ryan Phillippe and Benny Blanco in the past, while Davidson's dating history includes Kate Beckinsale, Kim Kardashian and Ariana Grande, per Harper's Bazaar.

Havent talked to Sarah Michelle Gellar since 1997: Jennifer Love Hewitt

Los Angeles, Jul 21 (PTI) Hollywood actor Jennifer Love Hewitt says she hasn't spoken to her 'I Know What You Did Last Summer" co-star Sarah Michelle Gellar for the last 28 years. Hewitt and Gellar featured in Jim Gillespie's directorial, which was released in 1997. The film also starred Freddie Prinze Jr and Ryan Phillippe. Despite avoiding any communication, Hewitt confirmed both have been on good terms and didn't have a fight, as some rumours claimed. 'I honestly don't even know what that was or how that all came to be. I just think people don't want the narrative to be easy. Why do we always have to be against each other and out for each other," she told entertainment news outlet Vulture in an interview. The 46-year-old actor, also known for her work in projects such as 'Can't Hardly Wait" and 'Ghost Whisperer", added, 'I haven't seen Sarah. Literally, we've not talked since I saw her at 18 years old when the first movie came out. That's why it's so funny to me. People were like, 'Say something back' And I'm like, 'What am I going to say? I've not seen her.' On my side, we're good. I have no idea where this is coming from." Both actors, however, returned for the film's reboot, which was released on July 18. The film has been directed by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson and also stars Madelyn Cline, Lola Tung and Chase Sui Wonders, among others. Sam Lansky wrote the screenplay for it.
