Wayne Lineker celebrates son Freddie's 21st birthday with throwback picture showcasing their striking similarities as he says: 'we are the same person'
The proud dad and nightclub owner, 64, shared a throwback picture of himself and his beloved boy in celebration of Freddie's 21st birthday.
It revealed that as a younger man, Wayne shared his son's dark features, hair, and had an almost identical facial structure.
Wayne captioned the snaps: 'Happy 21st Birthday Freddie Lineker - we are the same person just a different generation.'
He continued: 'I'm not going to post a string of pictures of us together because this is enough.
'It says it all.. everything we do is the same.. the way we walk the way we chat to Worldie's the way we love music the way we lose sunglasses our banter and our love for each other, the list is endless [sic].'

Wayne has three sons - Duane, 40, Sean, 33, and Freddie - and a daughter Tia, 26.
He also marked the occasion of Freddie's birthday on Instagram with a brief video that saw him appear at his son's door with a handshake and embrace before they headed out to party.
Wayne wrote: 'Tonight dad is taking you and your best friends to see your hero and my good friend Fisher at the amazing [UNVRS] Ibiza let's what happens [sic].'
The post comes after Wayne and brother Gary's longstanding feud appeared to finally thaw at Gary's son Harry's recent wedding to bride Annabelle in Ibiza, marking the first time they have been seen in the same room together for years.
Their feud began when Wayne made it clear he didn't get on with Gary's ex wife Danielle Bux and the pair have since struggled to find common ground.
In a video shared to Instagram, Gary necked back an alcoholic drink before the bottle was passed to his entrepreneur younger brother, with the pair having seemingly buried the hatchet for the family event.
The pair chose very different career paths from the off - with Gary, 64, dedicating his life to football punditry and hosting Match Of The Day on the BBC for 25 years before leaving the show last month.
Meanwhile wild Wayne, 63, turned his love of partying into a successful business - now running the hugely-popular O Beach Club in Ibiza.

Gary shares Harry, 31 - as well as other sons George, 34, Tobias, 29, and Angus, 27, with ex-wife Michelle Cockayne who he tied the knot with in 1986.
And Wayne is still close with Gary's sons who often share snaps visiting O Beach with their friends during lavish holidays and stag dos to Ibiza - making the invite to Harry's wedding only natural.
Gary is also now entering a new stage of his life having left the BBC amid his explosive anti-Semitic rat post row.
His previously clean-cut image as the face of one of the BBC's biggest shows often seemed to jar with Wayne's party boy antics at the club - but now that his TV work is taking a back seat there could be room for the pair to reconcile.
However Danielle is still very much in Gary's life with with the presenter previously admitting some might find their friendship 'unusual' as they speak 'three times a day'.
Gary and Wayne's feud dates back to 2008, when former England and Barcelona striker Gary started seeing Danielle Bux and brought her on holiday to Ibiza.
'In my opinion, Danielle cost me my relationship with my brother. Sadly Gary is no longer a part of my life,' Wayne told The Sun in April 2015.
Wayne was left confused when their weekly phone conversations and home visits ended abruptly - but he blames it on an awkward first encounter with Danielle, who Gary married in 2009 but divorced in 2016.
'They came to Ibiza in August 2008 and it was really awkward. I didn't spark with Danielle and our relationship was cold,' said Wayne.

BBC launches probe into ‘cocaine use' by Strictly stars
The BBC has launched an investigation into alleged cocaine use by two Strictly Come Dancing stars. Reports in The Sun allege their drug use was discussed on the show, and that the BBC had appointed law firm Pinsent Masons to lead the investigation. According to reports, the allegations were made in a legal submission by law firm Russells in March on behalf of former contestant Wynne Evans, who was dropped by the BBC after apologising for using 'inappropriate language' during the launch of the Strictly tour. Others have also reported drug use on the show, according to The Sun. A BBC spokesperson said: 'We have clear protocols and policies in place for dealing with any serious complaint raised with us. 'We would always encourage people to speak to us if they have concerns. It would not be appropriate for us to comment further.' It is understood that the BBC often appoints external law firms to help it lead investigations, while reporting back to an internal team. The cast members involved in the investigation were not named by The Sun. It comes after the BBC launched a review into Strictly in 2024 that looked into allegations of bullying and harassment against former professional dancer Giovanni Pernice, made by his former dance partner Amanda Abbington. The corporation upheld some, but not all, of the complaints made - and introduced a series of new measures aimed at improving welfare. This included the introduction of a chaperone who is present 'at all times' during training room rehearsals. EastEnders star James Borthwick was also suspended from the BBC after a video emerged of the actor using a disabled slur on the set of the dance programme. Borthwick apologised, saying he was 'deeply sorry for any offence and upset my words and actions have caused'.

A team of bodyguards and private security dog handlers patrolled the perimeter of the estate and traffic marshals directed traffic through the narrow country lane leading to the Osbourne estate. However, diehard fans did leave flowers outside the gates to their rock idol. Ozzy had spoken in 2011 about his funeral intentions, telling the Times: ' I want to make sure it's a celebration, not a mope-fest. 'I'd also like some pranks - maybe the sound of knocking inside the coffin, or a video of me asking my doctor for a second opinion on his diagnosis of 'death'. 'There'll be no harping on the bad times. It's worth remembering that a lot of people see nothing but misery their whole lives. 'So by any measure, most of us in this country - especially rock stars like me - are very lucky. That's why I don't want my funeral to be sad - I want it to be a time to say, "Thanks".' And he wrote in his autobiography I Am Ozzy, published in 2010: 'Eventually death will come, like it comes to everyone. 'I've said to Sharon: 'Don't cremate me, whatever you do.' I want to be put in the ground, in a nice garden somewhere, with a tree planted over my head. 'A crabapple tree, preferably, so the kids can make wine out of me and get p***ed out of their heads. As things have transpired, huge crowds gathered along the route hours in advance of Wednesday's 1pm start to pay their respects to the Prince of Darkness whose hits included Paranoid and Sabbath Bloody Sabbath. The hearse carrying the singer's coffin - adorned with purple flowers spelling out 'Ozzy' - had passed the star's childhood home in Lodge Road, Aston, shortly after midday. Flowers had been placed outside the terraced property, close to Villa Park while the owners of the house put up a picture of Osbourne in the front bay window. The Jaguar hearse and six Mercedes funeral cars, accompanied by police motorcycle riders and a police car, drove slowly along the street watched by a handful of fans and the current owner of the house. Thousands of people were pictured taking their places not only on Black Sabbath Bridge but along the city centre route along which his cortege travelled towards the Black Sabbath Bridge bench. Elsewhere in London, the Coldstream Guards payed tribute to the heavy metal legend at the changing of the guard by performing their own rendition of his hit-song Paranoid. Fans have left heartfelt messages and floral tributes around the Black Sabbath mural on Navigation Street in recent days to honour the heavy metal star who was born in the Aston area of Birmingham. Members of the public have also signed a book of condolences, opened by Birmingham Museum And Art Gallery, which is currently holding an exhibition titled Ozzy Osbourne (1948-2025): Working Class Hero. While organising the procession, Birmingham City Council collaborated with the Osbourne family, who funded all of the associated costs. Ahead of today's follow-up service, the Sun quoted a source as saying: 'Singer Yungblud, who became close with Ozzy in recent years, is going to give a reading. 'His Sabbath bandmates, Tony Iommi, Bill Ward and Geezer Butler, will be there, along with James Hetfield from Metallica. 'Elton John is also hoping to join the family at the church. 'Sharon and his family have been so touched by messages they received not only from Ozzy's friends, but also his fans around the world.' Osbourne and his Black Sabbath bandmates - Butler with the nickname 'Geezer', Iommi and Ward - were recently given the freedom of the city of Birmingham, which recognises people's exceptional service to the city. The group, which formed in 1968, are widely credited with defining and popularising the sound of heavy metal. Osbourne, who also had a successful solo career, found a new legion of fans when he appeared in the noughties reality TV series The Osbournes, starring alongside his wife Sharon and two youngest children, Kelly and Jack. The music star, who was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2019, performed his last gig on July 5 in a concert that also saw performances from the likes of Anthrax, Metallica and Guns N' Roses. Ozzy took to the stage for his farewell concert at Villa Park stadium in his native Birmingham less than three weeks before his death - reuniting with his original Black Sabbath bandmates for the first time since 2005. More than 42,000 fans packed into the venue for the Back To The Beginning show, during which he told the crowd in his final speech: 'You've no idea how I feel - thank you from the bottom of my heart.' A message on screen then read: 'Thank you for everything, you guys are f***ing amazing. Birmingham Forever,' before the sky lit up with fireworks. He had told of it being his last performance due to his health, having opened up about his battle with Parkinson's in 2020. In a statement shared last Tuesday, Ozzy's family said he died 'surrounded by love' , adding: 'It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning.' He is survived by his wife Sharon and his five children Jessica, Louis, Aimee, Kelly and Jack. Daily Mail revealed last Wednesday that an air ambulance was called to Osbourne's grand country home as paramedics battled to save his life for two hours. Friends told the Mail's Alison Boshoff that his heartbroken wife Sharon was considering now burying Ozzy in the gardens of the 350-acre estate in an intimate family funeral. Ozzy was born John Michael Osbourne in Birmingham in 1948, and dropped out of school at the age of 15. After serving two months in prison for burglary, he decided to pursue his love of music. By 1970, Black Sabbath - originally going by the name of Earth - had gained a huge following in the US and UK with the release of their first album. Ozzy quit the band in 1978 and four years later divorced his first wife Thelma Mayfair, with whom he had two children, amid his ongoing substance abuse problems. He went on to marry second wife Sharon, who helped him transform into a successful solo artist and the couple had three children together. Ozzy gained a whole new audience of fans with the family's reality TV show The Osbournes in 2001.
