Dog the Bounty Hunter's family: Meet his kids, wives and exes
Duane 'Dog the Bounty Hunter' Chapman has amassed a big brood over the years, welcoming 13 children. The reality star has been married six times, first tying the knot with La Fonda Sue Darnell in 1972 followed by Ann Tegnell seven years later. Chapman shares kids with both, having more after he and Lyssa Rae Brittain walked down the aisle in 1982. He and his fourth wife, Tawny Marie Chapman, don't share any children. Duane and fifth wife Beth Chapman have three kids, with the former bail bondsman also sharing a child with ex-girlfriend Debbie White. In 2023, he revealed he had secretly fathered a 13th. Keep scrolling to learn more the 'Dog the Bounty Hunter' star, who married to Francine Frane in 2021 and became the stepdad to her two sons, and his growing family. Christopher Michael Hecht Duane was serving an 18-month prison sentence for a third-degree murder charge when White gave birth to his eldest child, son Christopher, in 1972. The little one was adopted by Keith Hecht and Gloria Hecht when White died by suicide six years later. Duane reached out to the family when Christopher was 19. Christopher was reportedly arrested in 2008 on suspicions of a third-degree assault. In February 2021, he was sentenced to three years in prison following a menacing arrest, a sentence he served in Colorado (via the US Sun). Duane Lee Chapman II The bounty hunter welcomed his second son while married to Darnell. Duane Jr. worked alongside his dad at Da'Kine Bail Bonds in Hawaii, also appearing on 'Dog the Bounty Hunter.' Although the show aired from 2004 to 2012, Duane Jr. and his younger brother, Leland, quit one season ahead of the finale amid a dispute with Beth. Leland Blane Chapman Duane Jr. became a big brother in 1974 when Leland was born. When Darnell placed Leland in foster care, he ran away as a teen and was given the choice to live with Duane — which he took. After quitting his family's reality show, Leland seemingly reconciled with his dad, as Duane posted a birthday tribute via Instagram in December 2020. Leland has been married twice, first to a woman named Maui from 1995 to 2005, with whom he shares sons Dakota and Cobie. He welcomed daughter Leiah with Lynette Yi before marrying model Jamie Pilar Chapman in 2016. Zebadiah Chapman Duane married Tegnell in August 1979 in a Colorado ceremony, shortly after the former A&E personality was paroled. While their son Zebadiah was born in January of the following year, the infant died suddenly at 1 month old. Wesley Chapman Wesley was born in 1980, with his parents divorcing shortly after. He was raised by his maternal grandmother but reconnected with Duane at age 38. 'Man it's been a journey to get here, to be in a place to have … a father and his son building a legacy,' the Alabama School of Fine Arts graduate wrote via Instagram in September 2019. 'A legacy that will be passed down for generations to come.' Not only did Wesley found The Human Project to help at-risk youth, but he and his wife, Jodie, run the Chapman Springs Ranch. He is the father of daughters Chloe and Peyton from a previous relationship. James Robert Chapman Duane and Tegnell reunited briefly after their divorce, welcoming son James in their time together. J.R. has stayed out of the spotlight, with very little known about his life. Barbara Katie Chapman In 1982, Duane wed Brittain in a ceremony reportedly performed by a Native American chief in Colorado, days after meeting at a bar. Barbara, who was born in June of that same year, died in a 2006 car crash when she was 23 years old. She was survived by son Travis. Duane honored Barbara on the 15th anniversary of her death with an Instagram post reading, '15 years ago today My Barbara Katie went to be w/ JESUS.' Tucker Dee Chapman Duane and Brittain's second child together, son Tucker, joined the family in September 1983. Despite Duane telling Larry King in 2007 that he 'love[s] him very much,' Tucker has a strained relationship with his dad. When tapes were leaked of Duane saying the N-word to describe Tucker's girlfriend that same year, A&E put 'Dog the Bounty Hunter' on hiatus for the 'foreseeable future.' The show resumed production four months later. Duane claimed in a 2021 'Entertainment Tonight' interview that he had a 'pass' to use the slur from his time in prison. 'I thought I had a pass in the black tribe to use it, kind of like Eminem,' he told the outlet at the time. 'So that was a word that we used back and forth, as maybe a compliment. 'I have never been a racist,' Duane continued. 'I'm 33.5 percent Apache. But because of over 15 years ago, I have an Achilles' heel because I used the wrong word.' Lyssa Rae Chapman Four years before Duane and Brittain's divorce in 1991, their daughter, Lyssa, was born. Lyssa gave birth to daughters Abbie Mae and Madalynn with husband Braham Galanti before getting divorced. She and Leiana Evensen tied the knot in June 2022 after six years of dating. 'Last week Lei and I boarded a boat at 7 in the morning with 7 of our closest family members and we dedicated our love and lives to one another,' the bride gushed via Instagram at the time. The ceremony took place in the Pacific Ocean in Hawaii, with Lyssa's uncle David officiating. At the time, Lyssa told People about Duane's reaction to her coming out, explaining, 'I don't want to put words in his mouth because I don't know what his exact feelings about it are, but he's never shown me anything other than support.' Bonnie Joanne Chapman After an on-again, off-again relationship, Duane married Beth in Hawaii in 2006. They were already the parents of daughter Bonnie, who was born in December 1998. Bonnie, who often shows her makeup skills via Instagram, made headlines in 2021 when she accused her father and Frane of not inviting her to their wedding because of her 'choice to participate in social justice and [Black Lives Matter] protests.' She also alleged that Duane cheated on her mom, writing, 'I hated him every time he did it, but I forgave him for that because I wanted a relationship with my dad' — which led to Duane's 'Entertainment Tonight' denial. Garry Chapman Garry, born in February 2001, was hospitalized in the summer of 2020 after a four-wheeler wreck. Three years prior, his mom was diagnosed with throat cancer. Beth died of the disease two years later at age 51. 'It's 5:32 in Hawaii, this is the time she would wake up to go hike Koko Head mountain,' Duane told his Instagram followers at the time. 'Only today, she hiked the stairway to heaven.' Cecily Barmore-Chapman Beth welcomed Cecily in 1993 with her ex-husband, and Duane adopted the little one when they got married. Cecily was arrested for domestic violence in July 2021, telling Page Six about the alleged act of 'self-defense' in a statement the following month. 'I was attacked. I defended myself,' she claimed. 'I'd do it again. End of story.' Jon In June 2023, Duane told his Instagram followers he had secretly fathered a son named Jon but did not provide further details about his maternity. 'For the last four years, this day was a terrible reminder of one of the greatest losses of my life,' he wrote, referencing Beth's death. 'But God redeemed this day when I discovered my son Jon, who I just met recently, was born on this day. So now instead of sorrow, this day has a new meaning. This is my son Jon and his wife, Jodi.' Gregory Zecca Duane revealed during a 2020 'Dr. Oz Show' appearance that Frane, whom he was engaged to at the time, has two sons from a previous relationship. One of his stepsons Gregroy Zecca made headlines in July 2025 over allegedly shooting and killing his 13-year-old son, Anthony, in a 'freak accident.' After the teenager died in their Naples, Fla., apartment, Duane and Frane released a statement on the 'incomprehensible' tragedy. Solve the daily Crossword

Wayne Lineker celebrates son Freddie's 21st birthday with throwback picture showcasing their striking similarities as he says: 'we are the same person'
Wayne Lineker took to Instagram on Thursday to reveal the striking similarities between himself and his youngest son- describing them as 'the same person'. The proud dad and nightclub owner, 64, shared a throwback picture of himself and his beloved boy in celebration of Freddie's 21st birthday. It revealed that as a younger man, Wayne shared his son's dark features, hair, and had an almost identical facial structure. Wayne captioned the snaps: 'Happy 21st Birthday Freddie Lineker - we are the same person just a different generation.' He continued: 'I'm not going to post a string of pictures of us together because this is enough. 'It says it all.. everything we do is the same.. the way we walk the way we chat to Worldie's the way we love music the way we lose sunglasses our banter and our love for each other, the list is endless [sic].' From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Wayne has described them as 'the same person', writing: 'everything we do is the same.. the way we walk the way we chat to Worldie's the way we love music the way we lose sunglasses our banter and our love for each other, the list is endless [sic]' Wayne has three sons - Duane, 40, Sean, 33, and Freddie - and a daughter Tia, 26. He also marked the occasion of Freddie's birthday on Instagram with a brief video that saw him appear at his son's door with a handshake and embrace before they headed out to party. Wayne wrote: 'Tonight dad is taking you and your best friends to see your hero and my good friend Fisher at the amazing [UNVRS] Ibiza let's what happens [sic].' The post comes after Wayne and brother Gary's longstanding feud appeared to finally thaw at Gary's son Harry's recent wedding to bride Annabelle in Ibiza, marking the first time they have been seen in the same room together for years. Their feud began when Wayne made it clear he didn't get on with Gary's ex wife Danielle Bux and the pair have since struggled to find common ground. In a video shared to Instagram, Gary necked back an alcoholic drink before the bottle was passed to his entrepreneur younger brother, with the pair having seemingly buried the hatchet for the family event. The pair chose very different career paths from the off - with Gary, 64, dedicating his life to football punditry and hosting Match Of The Day on the BBC for 25 years before leaving the show last month. Meanwhile wild Wayne, 63, turned his love of partying into a successful business - now running the hugely-popular O Beach Club in Ibiza. Wayne and brother Gary's longstanding feud appeared to finally thaw at Gary's son Harry's recent wedding in Ibiza, marking the first time they have been seen in the same room together for years Gary shares Harry, 31 - as well as other sons George, 34, Tobias, 29, and Angus, 27, with ex-wife Michelle Cockayne who he tied the knot with in 1986. And Wayne is still close with Gary's sons who often share snaps visiting O Beach with their friends during lavish holidays and stag dos to Ibiza - making the invite to Harry's wedding only natural. Gary is also now entering a new stage of his life having left the BBC amid his explosive anti-Semitic rat post row. His previously clean-cut image as the face of one of the BBC's biggest shows often seemed to jar with Wayne's party boy antics at the club - but now that his TV work is taking a back seat there could be room for the pair to reconcile. However Danielle is still very much in Gary's life with with the presenter previously admitting some might find their friendship 'unusual' as they speak 'three times a day'. Gary and Wayne's feud dates back to 2008, when former England and Barcelona striker Gary started seeing Danielle Bux and brought her on holiday to Ibiza. 'In my opinion, Danielle cost me my relationship with my brother. Sadly Gary is no longer a part of my life,' Wayne told The Sun in April 2015. Wayne was left confused when their weekly phone conversations and home visits ended abruptly - but he blames it on an awkward first encounter with Danielle, who Gary married in 2009 but divorced in 2016. 'They came to Ibiza in August 2008 and it was really awkward. I didn't spark with Danielle and our relationship was cold,' said Wayne.

Man mourns death of brother killed in 1977 double homicide; case went unsolved
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — Time can do some funny things, especially after a loved one is murdered. In 1977, Duane Thomas was 17, and he thought his brother, Amber Thomas, was a man. Amber was just two years older than Duane at 19, but, you know how little brothers are. 'Even to this day, I think of him as a grown man,' Duane said of his brother. Amber was murdered Dec. 7, 1977, at an arcade at 1107 Hillman St. His murder has never been solved. Now 64, Duane realizes his big brother was not really a man — he was only two years older, after all. Yet, it took the passage of time to realize they were probably a lot alike and going through the same things people go through at that age. 'My brother was a very charismatic young man,' said Duane on the phone from Cincinnati, where he is now a substance abuse counselor. He moved to the Queen City after losing his job in Youngstown, but before that, he had lived in the city his whole life, graduating from Hillman Junior High and South High School. He has four children of his own. 'He was very smooth with the ladies, a very well-dressed man,' Duane said of his brother. 'He liked the quick money. He was a really nice guy.' It was a fractured family; Amber was raised by an aunt in Cleveland, and even though he also attended South briefly, he graduated from East Tech High School in Cleveland. After a brief stint in the military didn't work out, Amber was back in Youngstown, living with Duane and their mother in a house on Overland Avenue. Duane also has another brother and a sister. He said he reached out to a reporter after he read a story on another cold case, that of Annie Griffin, whose remains were found in October 2002 on the Sharon Line on the East Side. The story stirred up memories for Duane because it mentioned the cafe Annie's mother ran, Willie Mae's Soul Kitchen, also on Hillman Street, and the scene of a shooting in 1990 that left a man dead. Neither the Soul Kitchen nor the Money Arcade, where Amber was killed, exists. They have been torn down long ago. Duane said his brother worked at the Money Arcade for the man who ran the place, who was killed in the shooting with him. In December 1977, the city was reeling from Black Monday and the loss of almost 5,000 steel jobs in September. There were efforts by steelworkers to buy back some of those mills and run them. The nation was in the midst of a coal strike, and food prices were rising. The city's population was well over 100,000. There were six public high schools and two Catholic high schools. Today, the city's population is just less than 60,000. Locally, the city was bracing for six inches of snow and bitter cold the night Amber's boss picked him up for work. Duane said he wanted to go with them, but his mother said no. Duane was only 17, but his brother was 19 and considered an adult, so he got to go, Duane said. 'I just wish he hadn't gone that night. I wish he had stayed home,' Duane said. 'My brother wanted me to come, too, but my mother wouldn't let me go.' 'The next thing I knew, someone was knocking on my door, waking my mom to come with them.' According to the Dec. 8, 1977, edition of the Vindicator, Amber and his boss were found shot to death about 11:30 p.m. the night before by two customers who walked through the front door. Both victims were shot in the head. The newspaper said police found six .25-shell casings on the floor. Amber's boss was well known to city police and had at least 30 prior arrests for gambling and running 'cheap joints,' the newspaper said. About $20,000 worth of stolen merchandise was also found inside — so much that it took police four pages of paper to inventory it all. Called out to investigate the case was Lt. Eugene Sabatino and Detective Clarence Greene. Sgt. Jerry Tekac, along with Patrolmen Tim Maloney and Phil Rogers, were the responding officers, with Tekac being the shift supervisor. Peter Novosel was called out to process the crime scene, but there is no mention of whether he was called out or was already on duty. At the time, the Crime Lab was staffed in the evening hours. The coroner's investigator who responded and declared both men dead was William Melage. The people who discovered the bodies told police they walked inside and called out for the owner, but no one answered. One of them went to the restroom, and when he came back, he discovered both bodies. He then called the operator, who informed police, which is how things worked in the days before 911. The newspaper said a source theorized that someone had a problem with Amber's boss and that Amber just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, and the shooter — or shooters — did not want to leave a witness. In a report by Greene, he wrote that the cash register was open and change had been scattered on the floor. Greene also wrote that Duane's boss was known to have a roll of money and a handgun on him at all times. Neither was with him when his body was found. It also appeared that no one had forced their way inside. Police also took two tips in the week preceding the murders, according to reports, but how or if they were followed up on is not known. Also, about a week later, Patrolman Donald Ruse was called to an abandoned 2007 Hillman St. apartment building, where a crew from East Ohio Gas was taking out a meter when they found a wallet and other items that were on the floor. Inside the wallet was a driver's license. Also found was an AAA card, papers, and two pocket phone books. A report said the items were linked to the murder of Amber's boss. Duane said his mother was never the same after Amber died. She died about eight years ago, Duane said. 'My mother never recovered,' Duane said. 'She very rarely left the house. She died with a lot of guilt.' Duane also had a hard time dealing with Amber's death, turning to alcohol to dull the pain. 'I did a lot of drinking,' he said. 'That's how I dealt with my grief.' No matter how long ago it was, Duane has never forgotten his brother. 'My brother meant something to me,' Duane said. 'He's been gone a long time, but I still think of my brother. I have his picture on my desk.' This story is part of a series of cold cases that WKBN is examining. Do you have a cold case that you'd like us to look into further? Anyone with information on the Dec. 7, 1977, deaths of Amber Thomas and Shed Bell, Jr., can call the city police department Detective Bureau at 330-742-8911 or 330-746-CLUE. Glen and Duane Kuiper have a new gig: Private shows after Giants games
There's a bit of off-Broadway to the Gotham Club's latest entertainment at Oracle Park, a members-only occasion after the San Francisco Giants' Friday-night home games. But it's been a smash hit so far, as the Kuiper brothers talk baseball with a bunch of old friends. For Duane Kuiper, it's a special bit of family connection. For Glen Kuiper, it's a lifeline. 'Duane and I have never done something like this before,' Glen said by telephone this week, 'and it's a whole lot of fun. So far, we've had Will Clark, Dennis Eckersley, Dave Dravecky, Mike Krukow and Dave Flemming come join us.' (Ron Wotus will be among next Friday night's guests after the Giants-Braves game.) To say the least, Glen could use a bit of levity. His broadcasting career was abruptly terminated on May 6, 2023, when he was suspended by NBC Sports Bay Area for using a racial slur — an utterance he claims was purely accidental — during an Oakland A's telecast from Kansas City. Since then, he has concealed his outrage behind the gratitude of getting a chance — any chance at all — to get back on the air. He has appeared on Marty Lurie's KNBR pregame show, as well as Lurie's weekly Zoom calls inside the baseball community. This year, Duane approached Steve Revetria, who oversees Giants Enterprises and the Gotham Club, with the pair-of-brothers proposal. 'He thought it was a great idea,' Duane said by telephone from Miami, where the Giants opened a three-game series Friday night. 'I really appreciate the Gotham Club for allowing us to do this. We had to check all the boxes, making sure the Giants were OK with it, and (CEO) Larry Baer was like, absolutely. Go for it.' The Gotham Club shows are a private affair, without video or audio available to the public. Duane walks up to the club (adjoining McCovey Cove) some 20 minutes after his Giants' call is done, and the shows last about 40 minutes before 'a full dining room. I mean, it's packed,' Glen said. 'Who knows where it's leading? I think my best chance to keep working and call games again is with the Giants, someday. But I could be completely off-base there. It's just nice being back, not having to worry about what people are thinking about me. That seems to be a thing of the past, you know? 'What counts for me most is working with Duane,' he said. 'A lot of people sort of cast me aside over this thing, and he's been the good older brother, very protective. That means so much.' There are no shortcuts to a comeback for a broadcaster in Glen's position. 'The whole point is to get him to the ballpark, get him involved, make him as relevant as you can,' Duane said. 'He's getting back in the game at the proper pace, and people are digging it. I'm really happy the way it's going.' So what's the show called? 'Give my son, Cole, credit for that,' Duane said. ''Friday Night Kuips.''

California Billionaires Pay $48.5 Million for Oceanfront Villa in Palm Beach
A 1930s home on the ocean in Palm Beach, Fla., has sold for $48.5 million, just shy of the $54.9 million asking price. The buyers are Southern California-based billionaires Duane and Kelly J. Roberts, who are food and real-estate entrepreneurs. The seller is Edward Mulé, co-founder and CEO of Silver Point Capital, a Greenwich, Conn.-based investment firm. Mulé bought the house for $15.01 million in 2019, property records show, and put it on the market in February.
