Pooja Hegde Enjoys Butter-Loaded Amritsari Kulcha, Lassi And More In Chandigarh
On the side, three small katoris brought the plate to life. One was filled with the ever-classic chole, a chickpea curry simmered in a rich gravy. It was deep in colour and undoubtedly full of flavour. Its thick texture was just what those kulchas were made for. Next was a bowl of what looked like curd or lightly seasoned raita, providing a cooling contrast to the rich chole. The third bowl seemed to house a tangy onion and tamarind chutney, where finely diced onions swam in a dark, sweet-sour sauce — perfect for adding a crunch and zingy hit to each bite. Oh, you thought that was it? Well, how can a Punjabi cuisine end without a glass of smooth and fresh lassi? Pooja Hegde followed the ritual and sipped on the delicious drink served in a matka, aka an earthen pot. Creamy malai was kept on a separate plate — A perfect summer refreshment to say the least.

This isn't the first time Pooja Hegde has shared her love for soul-satisfying food. Just a few days ago, she posted a picture of another iconic Indian favourite — a cup of tea paired with Parle-G biscuits. Simple, nostalgic and comforting, the Parle-G dunked into a steaming cup of chai is a ritual that resonates with most Indians. Whether it's during a busy office break or a quiet Sunday morning, the biscuit-tea combo hits all the right emotional notes. For Pooja, currently in the UK shooting for Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai alongside Varun Dhawan, it was a much-needed reminder of home. Read on to know more.

The love for home-style meals seems to follow Pooja Hegde on set as well. Back in May 2025, while filming for the same movie, Pooja was seen enjoying a wholesome lunch in a tent along with Varun Dhawan and others. The spread, captured in a behind-the-scenes video shared by Varun himself, featured a delicious line-up — misti chicken, dal tadka, mixed vegetables, grilled salmon and a refreshing red salad. Pooja, along with the rest of the crew, looked more than happy digging into their meal. Click here for more.

Shubhanshu Shukla becomes 1st Indian to get haircut in space. You read that right
In what might be the most down-to-Earth moment in an otherwise out-of-this-world mission, Indian astronaut Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla has just made history—by getting the first-ever Indian haircut in space. Yes, 400 km above Earth aboard the International Space Station, Shukla got a tidy trim just hours before undocking for his return trip home. And social media? It's loving every strand of if you're imagining a cosmic salon with floating scissors and levitating shampoo, hold that thought. Haircuts in space are a whole other universe of logistics. There's no gravity, no sink, and definitely no floor to sweep hair you soon Ax-4! Wishing you a soft landing! Nichole 'Vapor' Ayers (@Astro_Ayers) July 14, 2025 Instead, astronauts use specially designed vacuum clippers that suck in the hair as it's cut—because the last thing you want is rogue follicles clogging up the ISS life support systems. Bonus? You don't need to tip your SHUBHANSHU SHUKLA RETURN LIVEThe picture of Shukla's space salon session, shared by astronaut Nichole Ayers, shows just how delightfully weird (and efficient) microgravity grooming can be. Jimmy Neesham's 2019 Post Goes Viral After India's Heartbreaking Loss At Lord's
Last Updated: India's defeat to England in the third Test at the Lord's brought back a 2019 post by Jimmy Neesham on social media feed. Here's what it said. Indian cricket fans are still coming to terms with the Lord's Test defeat on Monday to England in what turned out to be an absorbing display of cricket. As the visiting side's batters fell one after another, England sensed they could run through India's batting line-up quickly, pack bags, and go home with a 2-1 lead in the five-match Test series. Ravindra Jadeja, along with the tail – Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj – stuck around as they refused to give up. The trio faced a combined total of 265 deliveries to delay England's celebrations. Only 22 runs away from the target of 193 and no wickets left in their kitty, India had toiled hard, and viewers back home couldn't look away from the proceedings. Then, disappointment struck like a truck. Siraj, defending Shoaib Bashir, saw the ball rolling to the stumps. A bail left its grooves and fell on the ground. The Lord's crowd roared. England players shook hands with Siraj and Jadeja, congratulating the duo for the spirited display they had just put up. Indian cricket fans were devastated, for they knew that a competent team had fought fire with fire. Some took comfort in New Zealander Jimmy Neesham's life advice from 2019, a post that occasionally pops up during cricket heartbreaks. Jimmy Neesham 'Kids, don't take up sport. Take up baking or something. Die at 60 really fat and happy." Kids, don't take up sport. Take up baking or something. Die at 60 really fat and happy.— Jimmy Neesham (@JimmyNeesh) July 15, 2019 The Kiwi all-rounder had a tough time swallowing the 'boundary count" defeat to England in the historic 50-over 2019 World Cup finals. Cricket Fans Find Comfort Indian fans found comfort in Neesham's life hack of not taking the sport too seriously because a defeat could leave one hollow and completely wrecked, like it did when he and the Kiwis ended up on the losing side of the blockbuster finals. 'Reminded of this everyday," wrote one user on X. 'I'm pinning this post. Works for every team I support," added another. 'Should've listened to Jimmy," a third chimed. '6 years later, this remains a fact." July 14 July 14 marks a very special day in English cricket. Yes, the day Ben Stokes' England defeated India at the Lord's coincided with their maiden triumph in the ODI World Cup. A memorable clash, the pendulum swung back and forth between England and New Zealand in a Super Over tie. England eventually emerged as the winners in perhaps one of the best, edge-of-the-seat ODI matches ever played. England were awarded the title owing to a contentious boundary count law. view comments Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. Please keep discussions respectful and constructive.
