‘You are a star': A-lister couple's daughter keeps going viral
Romy Mars, the daughter of A-lister director Sofia Coppola and musician Thomas Mars, keeps on going viral. If you've missed the rise of Mars, you're probably just not on social media that much. The 18-year-old has garnered over 25 million likes on TikTok alone. Her parents met on the set of The Virgin Suicides in the late 1990s. Her mum, of course, is the director of acclaimed movies like Lost in Translation and Marie Antoinette, and her Dad is the lead singer of the indie French band Phoenix. Her parents didn't tie the knot until 2013, and Mars also has a younger sister, Cosima, and she grew up rubbing shoulders with celebrities because of her parents. It doesn't hurt that she also looks just like her famous mum. The 18-year-old came to prominence, though, back in 2023. When she shared a now-deleted video where she claimed she was grounded because she attempted to charter a helicopter to visit her friend and was caught using her dad's credit card. The clip may have been deleted but it introduced Mars to the masses with a bang, and to this day, no one can be one hundred per cent sure if she was joking or not. These days, she's making a name for herself with her music career. She released a song aptly titled A-lister this year that is getting buzz. Perhaps what makes Mars so refreshing is that she's not shy about acknowledging her famous parents. Earlier this week, she posted a video of herself proudly watching her dad perform on stage, and people loved it. 'Having Thomas Mars as your dad is iconic,' one praised. 'Having him and Sofia Coppola as parents is unreal,' another said. 'Having two iconic parents must be such a blessing,' one said. Aside from acknowledging her famous parents, the 18-year-old uses social media for all the usual stuff that teenagers do. She'll post room tours, videos of her hanging out with friends, or clips to promote her music. In typical teenage girl fashion, she also likes to vaguely mention a messy break-up with an ex, Most of the content she posts is pretty similar to what anyone her age would, but there's always a sprinkling of affluence. She recently shared a video of her trying on the designer brand Chanel and then attending a Chanel ball. People online were nothing short of obsessed. 'You're such an icon, I can't,' one wrote. 'You are a star! We love you.' 'Iconic behaviour,' someone else said.

Jennifer Aniston sparks dating rumours on intimate Mallorca vacation
Jennifer Aniston is sparking romance rumours with Jim Curtis. The Friends star and the hypnotist — whose work the actress has been following for years — were recently photographed enjoying an intimate vacation together on Spain's Mallorca island. As seen in pictures obtained by the Daily Mail, Aniston and Curtis were joined by the actress' close pals Jason Bateman and his wife, Amanda Anka, for a getaway during the Fourth of July weekend, reports Page Six. Aniston, 56, looked chic in a black tank top, jeans, sneakers, a wide-brimmed hat and sunglasses, while her rumoured beau sported a green long-sleeved shirt with dark shorts, sneakers and sunglasses slung from his collar. Pics showed Aniston introducing Curtis to her pals as the group got into a sprinter van. They later enjoyed a yacht party together, according to the Daily Mail. Reps for the Murder Mystery star did not immediately respond to Page Six 's requests for comment. Notably, Aniston and Curtis also follow each other on Instagram, where the latter boasts more than half a million followers. He identifies himself as a 'coach' and explains in his bio, 'My mission is to help you heal and thrive by upgrading your I AM.' I release the pain of the past.' He captioned the clip, 'Repeat these affirmations to heal and recover from a divorce, break-up or difficult romance and begin to call in the new empowered, healthy and divine love.' Curtis encouraged his followers to repeat the affirmations 'three times in the morning, six times in the afternoon, nine times at night before bed.' Aniston also included one of Curtis' books, Shift Quantum Manifestation Guide: A Workbook for Coding a New Consciousness, in a May 'photo dump.' Aniston was previously married to Brad Pitt from 2000 to 2005 and Justin Theroux from 2015 to 2018.

Tour de France stage four: Pogacar claims 100th career victory with 'explosive' win
Slovenian cyclist Tadej Pogacar blew past his rivals in an "explosive" finish to take Tour de France stage four at Rouen on Wednesday morning AEST and claim his 100th professional victory. "That was really pure, classic Tour-de-France-style explosive," said an elated Pogacar. The win did not quite bring him the overall lead. Dutch powerhouse Mathieu van der Poel finished second to keep the yellow jersey. Pogacar attacked on an incline to the line to finish just ahead of Van der Poel with Jonas Vingegaard third. It was the 26-year-old cyclist's 18th Tour de France stage win as he seeks a fourth overall triumph on the Tour. "There was big adrenaline and a big field of contenders," Pogacar said. Fans were treated to another Pogacar-Vingegaard head-to-head duel as five hills made the final 40km a roller-coaster. On the day's final real climb, Pogacar dropped all his rivals, with only Vingegaard offering a real fight. But van der Poel and Vingegaard both came back at Pogacar, making him fight all the way to the line in a thunderous finale. The same trio top the overall standings, with Pogacar second and Vingegaard in third. "I should be happy to have the jersey again," said Van der Poel. "I was surrounded by climbers out there, you know." "Tadej was stronger and it's as simple as that." Unlike the opening three stages, there was hardly a puff of wind and not a drop of rain, but there were still plenty of falls. Police shoot man wielding knife There was also a knifing incident with a man at Rouen slightly injuring a police officer before being shot by French riot police as he tried to escape. Neither the police officer nor the alleged culprit suffered life-threatening injuries. Time trial for stage five Stage five will shake up the overall standings with a 33km individual time trial around Caen. The stage is being billed as the day Remco Evenepoel will finally slip into the overall leader's yellow jersey. To do so, the 25-year-old Belgian world and Olympic champion in the discipline will need to cover the course 59 seconds faster than Pogacar and Vingegaard. "Tomorrow will be the big day, the real test of how good everyone is," said Pogacar. "Don't count Remco out," he added. "He's the best in the world, and he'll be going full gas, like me." The man who designs the race, Thierry Gouvenou, predicted big time differences on the time trial. "It's flat and runs through exposed plains. This is a course designed for the specialists. You need to be aerodynamic and powerful," he said, which suggests it could suit Evenepoel in particular. "This is a red letter day for all the main contenders." Rarely lacking in confidence, Evenepoel was true to form. "I can put a minute into them all tomorrow," he said in Rouen after the fourth stage. The first mountains come as late as stage 10 over the volcanic landscape of the Puy de Dome, with two more colossal climbing days in the Pyrenees before the blockbuster final week in the Alps.
