The real Danny Dyer reacts to his own lookalike competition and shares his shock at the unexpected winner as he jokes 'did you nick it?'
A host of tracksuit clad, bearded blokes flocked to London, however it was Mike from Southampton who came out on top.
Despite striking less of a physical resemblance to the EastEnders star, Mike impressed with his outfit choice, sporting a white and maroon Sergio Tacchini jacket akin to those rocked by the iconic Brit in his 2005 movie The Business.
And the actor, 48, was genuinely shocked to meet the winner as he asked: Did you nick it?'
He then joked: 'You have got the same double chin there look'.
Surrounded by a host of Danny's the star joked: 'This is like me ageing through the years.'
He added: 'This is a very surreal for me and I have realised how much I don't look like Danny Dyer anymore.'
Meanwhile the competition's unlikely winner Mike even admitted no one had ever told him he looked like the star.
Speaking to Metro at the event he explained: 'No one's ever told me I look like Danny Dyer, but I've lived a similar sort of childhood — working-class.'
It seems Mike won the contest based on his Dyer like charm as he continued: 'I'm obviously very good-looking, very charismatic, and a geezer.'
Speaking after his win he confessed: 'I didn't expect to win in the slightest.'
Turning to the runner up Richard, who arguably resembled Danny more physically, he joked: 'I feel like I've met Danny Dyer today.'
Mike pipped Richard to first place, despite Richard being the former EastEnders star's official lookalike. He is actually signed to an agency thanks to his striking resemblance to the man himself.
Rocking Danny's brown beard and slicked back hair, the similarities between him and the actor, now 47, were nothing short of uncanny, yet he didn't quite bag the prize.

Mike beat off competition from more than ten potential lookalikes sporting Fila jackets, sunglasses and almost all with their hair jelled and slickly combed back just like the East London icon.
The Danny lookalike competition came after a growing global trend of celebrity doppelganger contests.
An army of budding Harry Styles doubles descended upon on the English capital late last year for a head-to-head.
Judged by a mix of notable names and One Direction super fans, competitors were encouraged to dress up in bold outfits inspired by the singer's famously flamboyant wardrobe.
The panel of judges included Ryan Lanji, a party planner known for his work on RuPaul's Drag Race UK, and the author of The Book of Harry, Bonnie McLaren.
Prizes ranged from £50 for the winner and a selection of hair products for the victor in the 'best hair' category to a six-pack of organic wine for the 'best style'.
And even the entrant unfortunate enough to be ranked as the worst Styles lookalike did not leave the event empty-handed, as they claimed a four-pack of cheap beer.
Eventually Oscar Jorneaux won the contest, a 22-year-old musician who admitted he entered for 'publicity'.
Just weeks earlier New York hosted a similar Timothee Chalamet competition, with fans left in a frenzy when the actor and boyfriend of Kylie Jenner arrived unannounced.
Flanked by bodyguards, the actor posed for photographs with his curly-haired doppelgangers - some of whom had dressed as his characters, including Willy Wonka and Dune protagonist Paul Atreides.
So impressive were the day's competitors that some fans heaped their attention onto them, mistaking them for Timothee himself.
Noah Wildie, 23, told DailyMail.com it was 'insane' when the actor arrived, as hundreds of fans passionately screaming.

That's because the 19-year-old winger is too busy trying to break into Ruben Amorim's Premier League squad before their season opener against Arsenal on August 16. Local Manchester lad Ethan's "dreams came true" when he scored his first United goal during the club's 4-1 win over Bournemouth in Chicago on Wednesday. A minute after coming on, the academy graduate was on hand to pick up the ball from inside the box after new signing Diego Leon tripped over while driving towards goal. And before you knew it, Ethan, who is equally sharp with both feet, cut inside and unleashed a devastating right-foot finish into former Chelsea stopper Djordje Petrovic's near post. And rarely - if ever- does Amorim celebrate when they do hit the back of the net. On that, Amorim, 40, said: 'I celebrated that goal. Ethan had expected to spend much of this summer working with the Under-21s, only for Amorim to last week give him the nod for their pre-season tour to the United States. Amorim refuses to guarantee Hojlund Man Utd future amid Sesko transfer push But while Ethan dreams of Old Trafford glory, his uncle Alex, 63, is a true blue icon who would've been celebrating somewhere too. Alex made history when he became the first black goalkeeper to play in the old First Division in 1980, going on to made 125 appearances for City until 1985. He's also a celebrated figure for his incredible 33 years with City in the community, earning an MBE in 2002 - three years before Ethan was born - for his work with young people. He's destined to be a star, although it's a shame his favourite colour is red rather than blue. He's destined to be a star, although it's a shame his favourite colour is red rather than blue. 'I just hope Ethan is as happy during his career as I was during mine.' Incidentally, Alex's final City appearance came during a 3-0 home defeat against Man Utd, where he gave away a penalty in 1985 - a year after lifting the Under-21 European Championships with England. 9 Ruben Amorim more or less celebrated for the first time after Ethan scored on Wednesday Credit: Getty After brief spells with Queen of the South and Port Vale, Alex hung up his gloves at the young age of 25 in 1987 due recurrent back injuries. Ethan joined United from Rochdale aged 14 and quickly settled in, later earning calls to join first team training under former boss Erik ten Hag. The tricky forward signed his first professional contract with United a year ago in July 2024, and was quickly shipped out on loan to gain experience at Cheltenham Town. He's just returned from a fruitful loan spell with the League Two side, where he netted twice in 17 appearances. And Ethan might be hoping for a mural of his own on the Trafford side of the city in the distant future.

Danny Dyer's earnings 'unveiled' after being 'skint' before landing EastEnders role
Danny Dyer has earned a huge fortune thanks to his work in TV and film, but the actor has been honest about his financial woes in the past Danny Dyer 's impressive earnings have reportedly been disclosed, following a series of successful roles in popular shows over the past year. The 48 year old star, known for his performances in Mean Machine and Football Factory, has been candid about his financial struggles in the past, confessing he hit a rough patch before securing his role on EastEnders. Danny was cast as Mick Carter in the BBC One soap in 2013 and remained a regular in Walford until 2022, when his character mysteriously disappeared at sea. Since leaving EastEnders, Danny has secured a number of acting roles. He's starred in ITV 's Rivals and Sky's Mr. Bigstuff, which earned him a BAFTA for his performance. Thanks to this success, Danny's amassed a substantial fortune, with accounts filed at Companies House revealing that his company, Arty Bucco, made £1.4 million in the last financial year, reports OK!. These figures show Danny has made an impressive £712,221 more than the previous year, according to MailOnline. In addition to his acting income, Danny's also earned money from hosting shows such as The Wall and Scared of the Dark. He's also appeared in documentaries like Danny Dyer's Right Royal Family and participated in shows such as Celebrity Gogglebox and The Assembly. However, Danny's wealth hasn't always been so vast, with the actor admitting he was struggling financially before landing his role in EastEnders in 2013. Previously speaking on the Jonathan Ross Show, Danny admitted: "I didn't have an audition, they rung me up, I had a touch. They said, 'Listen we want you to come in the show, take over the Queen Vic' and at the time I was skint and I just had about enough petrol money to get there, that's the truth. "They thought I was a multimillionaire and I met them in the hotel and I walked in absolutely skint, not a bean about me. I thought, I hope they don't ask me to get them a lager because I've got no dough." He confessed that he attempted to "play down" his enthusiasm at being offered the part, as he didn't want to "look desperate" in front of BBC executives. He added: "I went, 'I'll think about it' and then I walked out and I did a couple of backflips on the way out! I played it right down, I didn't want to look desperate and I was desperate."

Fast and Furious villain warns they're ‘ready to go' for final sequel appearance
Jason Momoa has promised that he's 'ready to go' for the next Fast and Furious movie, but is still waiting for the all-important call. The Dune legend popped up as Dante Reyes in 2023's Fast X, which served as the 10th movie in the legendary action franchise, and he was clearly in his element while stepping into his campy villain era alongside Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Ludacris, Tyrese and co. After Vin, aka Dominic Toretto, confirmed that the 11th and final instalment will be racing onto the big screen in 2027, the 46-year-old revealed that he would love to return to the fold. Speaking to Metro to promote his stunning historical drama, Chief of War, talk turned to his future projects, and whether we would ever see Dante again. 'Listen, they couldn't get rid of me if they tried,' he declared. 'But I'm just saying that I'm waiting for them to call. 'I'm ready to go. You can quote me, I'm ready to f**k s**t up.' Fast X was released in 2023 and ended on an almighty cliffhanger, perfectly setting up Dominic's desperation to save his 'family' and Dante's desire to exact revenge on the gang after the events of the fifth movie led to his father's death. Jason's unhinged performance was a hit with fans and critics alike, with many branding his character the 'best villain yet'. Unpacking his efforts in a chat with Variety at the time, he shared that he had the time of his life with the role. 'I've never played a character that's, what's the word – he's evil and quirky and androgynous,' he teased. 'He's very sadistic and fun. It's very bizarre. 'I haven't played a villain in a very long time.' The Game of Thrones icon jumped right into character and actually improvised some of his most morbid scenes, including one where he enjoyed a cocktail with two of his dead henchmen. Director Louis Leterrier raved about his efforts in front of the camera, telling the Hollywood Reporter: 'What you have to realize is that Jason and I love each other. 'We found each other on this movie, and we realized that making each other laugh was a great way to create Dante. 'We really liked making each other laugh, and the extra points, the joker of our game, was to get Vin to crack up and come out of character as Dom Toretto. More Trending 'So we tried really hard, like when Dante calls Dom 'butthole,' but Vin is so focused when he is on set that it was impossible.' Fingers crossed that they can get him to crack in the next one… Fast and Furious 11 is slated to be released in 2027. Got a story?
