Vijayawada: The fight between the Kesineni brothers in Vijayawada has now shifted from Ursa Clusters to the liquor scam. Kesineni Srinivas (Nani), former MP of Vijayawada and elder brother of sitting MP Kesineni Sivanath (Chinni), alleged that his brother has links with Raj Kesireddy, one of the accused in the Rs 3,600 crore liquor scam.
Hitting back, Chinni shot a letter to chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu, demanding a CBI probe into the allegations made by his brother. The Kesineni brothers shared many disputes before 2024, but after TDP named Chinni as its candidate for Vijayawada Lok Sabha, the fight became political as Nani shifted loyalties to YSRCP. Chinni won the election by a huge margin, after which Nani announced that he was quitting politics. However, after the land allotments to Ursa Clusters, Nani launched an all-out attack on Chinni. First, he alleged that Ursa Clusters is a "benami company" of his younger brother. He claimed that one of the promoters of Ursa Clusters was a business partner of Chinni and that they both cheated many people in a real estate venture. Chinni denied the allegations, stating that he has nothing to do with the land allotments and that Nani is desperately trying to score some political brownie points. The war of words has now taken a new turn, with Nani alleging and linking Chinni to Raj Kesireddy, one of the accused in the alleged liquor scam. He said Chinni and Raj were business partners when the scam took place and laundered money to other countries like Dubai and the USA through Kesineni International.Hitting back at his brother, Chinni wrote to CM Naidu and demanded a CBI probe into the allegations. He said YSRCP is trying to divert the attention of people from the liquor scam as more and more details are coming out with each arrest. He claimed that the main kingpin in the Rs 3,600 crore scam is none other than former chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.Reacting to Chinni's allegations, Nani said as Chinni has expressed disbelief in the ongoing probe by the special investigation team (SIT), an inquiry by the CBI and ED is necessary and requested the CM to order an inquiry by the central agencies.

keep Jagan among people by not voting for YSRCP: Gottipati

Yerragondapalem: Energy Minister Gottipati Ravi Kumar advised the public to give no seats to YSRCP in the next elections so that its chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will be among the people all the time. Along with TDP Yerragondapalem in-charge Guduri Erixion Babu, Giddalur and Kanigiri MLAs Muttumula Ashok Reddy and Dr Mukku Ugranarasimha Reddy, and others, Ravi Kumar participated in the foundation laying ceremony of 33/11 KV electrical substation, inaugurated a statue of TDP founder NT Ramarao, and 'Suparipalanalo Tholi Adugu' at Isuka Tripuravaram village in Pullalacheruvu mandal on Friday. Speaking at the public meeting, Ravi Kumar launched a scathing critique against former CM Jagan Mohan Reddy, correlating his public engagement with electoral performance. He said that when Jagan got 151 seats in 2019, he slept in Tadepalli Palace for five years. With 11 seats now, he comes out once a month. If he gets zero seats next time, he'll be among people all the time, he added. Explaining the coalition government's one-year accomplishments, the minister highlighted the Talliki Vandanam scheme, and said that the government deposited Rs 13,000 per student in their mothers' accounts, including Rs 10,000 crore to 67 lakh beneficiaries in one day. He said that the coalition government has provided power to tribal settlements for the first time. He announced that the free bus travel for women would start in the state from August. Gottipati asked the public to give the coalition victory in all 12 MLA seats in the erstwhile Prakasam district, framing it as a choice between development and anarchy. He accused YSRCP leaders of promoting chaos while criticising alleged betting activities based on false victory predictions.
