Joy Taylor breaks silence on claims she's quitting sports media after Fox Sports firing
The host's nine-year stint at Fox came to an abrupt end after the network reportedly failed to renew her contract four months after she found herself embroiled in a bombshell sex lawsuit.
The 38-year-old broke her silence on the matter last week and has now hinted at what the future will hold for her as she embarks on the next chapter of her career.
In a snippet from an upcoming episode of the 'Let Her Shoot' podcast, Taylor said: 'I'll have a lot of announcements coming up.
'You know, as far as everything that happened, that's the business. Nothing is forever, as all these cliches, but that is what it is. You know, (I'm) grateful, I had nine years on a network and the next chapter will be equally as exciting.
'I'm not limiting myself. I've worked with a bunch of different people over the years, people I never thought that I would end up partnering up with.
'It might surprise people what the next move is... I'm not teasing anything, but we'll have announcements very soon.'
Earlier this month, Fox Sports reportedly slashed its weekday lineup with a trio of shows axed, including 'Speak' which was hosted by Taylor.
The former sports host had worked on a number of different shows in her nine-year stint with Fox, yet the company has decided not to renew her expiring contract this summer - just months after she found herself embroiled in a bombshell sex lawsuit .
The network shortly announced a new deal with Barstool Sports and founder Dave Portnoy, while Kay Adams was rumored to be a leading contender to fill the void left at Fox.
The decision from Fox came in the wake of lawsuit brought by former FS1 hairstylist Noushin Faraji, who listed Taylor as a defendant as well as top programming executive Charlie Dixon and Skip Bayless.
Taylor was accused of using sexual relationships with colleagues, including Dixon and former co-host Emmanuel Acho, to further her career in the lawsuit filed by the ex-employee.
The 38-year-old was also alleged to have told Faraji to 'get over it' when she confided in her about claims she was sexually assaulted by Dixon.
Taylor has denied all allegations.
The 38-year-old initially broke her silence on the matter last week, as she expressed gratitude for the opportunities she's had as a female panelist in sports media, but suggested that the events have left her feeling jaded towards the industry.
'Overall, like the saying 'it doesn't feel like work when you're doing something that you actually enjoy.' I think what happened to me this year took that away from me,' Taylor said on The Ringer's Higher Learning.
'I don't know if I'll get that back. I might — and maybe like when the callous forms over the wound and you get away from things you it doesn't feel, like the tremors go away, so we're not there yet — but right now, it doesn't feel that way. It doesn't feel exciting.

We are equally grateful to our incredible staff — past and present — whose hard work, care, and hospitality made The Lady & Sons what it was. 'Savannah will always be our home, and we'll always be here to support our wonderful community.' Amid the shock shutdowns, the family is attending to their other businesses. 'We will now focus our attention on the four Paula Deen's Family Kitchen locations across the country—in Pigeon Forge, Myrtle Beach, Nashville, and Branson,' the letter read. In just a few days the trio will be on-site at one of their remaining eateries. 'We're excited to continue visiting these restaurants regularly, starting with Branson on August 8th,' said the correspondence. They directed patrons to a phone number and email for future reservations, events, and catering inquiries. The message was signed off with 'Love & Best Dishes.' It comes 12 years after Food Network axed the celebrity chef's TV show, Paula's Home Cooking series. The cancellation was due to backlash from a deposition in which Deen confessed to using a racial slur. Meanwhile, The Chicken Box was much newer, having opened just two years ago in 2023. In late May the restaurant was forced to briefly suspend service in the wake of electrical issues caused by inclement weather. An Instagram post dated May 28 included the caption: 'Still having electrical issues after the flooding y'all- elevator is janky now as well. Hopefully back tomorrow. Stay tuned. Thank y'all.' It included a photo of a sign outside the business that read: 'We hope to re-open tomorrow for lunch service. This flood did a real number on us. Sorry y'all - Jamie.'

I had a butt injection in Los Angeles' most walkable area - where you don't need to hire a car
There are some things that are just 'so LA'. Think palm trees, celeb-spotting, Lululemon-clad women holding their overpriced Hailey Bieber-inspired crafted drinks - and, more importantly, traffic. After hopping off the plane at LAX with a dream and my cardigan, I'm keenly anticipating all the glitz and glamour awaiting me, while dreading the amount of time I'm about to be stuck in a car this week. But, forget what you've you've heard about needing to rent a car in LA, there's a part of the City of Angels you can actually walk around and still feel like an A-lister - West Hollywood. There's so much to see here, including the Sunset Strip, Design District and Santa Monica Blvd, - and you can see it all in breathtaking views from the Skybar of my Alice in Wonderland-themed hotel, Mondrian. This hotel's location is testament to why WeHo is known as LA's most walkable area. Here, I'm a stone's throw from The Comedy Store - often deemed the greatest stand-up comedy club in the world; The Viper Room, a nightclub partly owned by Johnny Depp; and The Abbey, a favourite bar of Elizabeth Taylor and the inspiration for Chappel Roan's hit song Pink Pony Club. Naturally, the food scene in West Hollywood is remarkable, and you won't even need to leave your hotel to find a decent joint. At Mondrian, I dine at the newly opened Casa Madera which offers delectable Mexican cuisine under starry lights and large open windows showcasing the painting-like sunset. While the hotel itself is pretty swanky, the restaurant is its standout jewel, with some of the most good-looking patrons and views I have ever seen. I also eat at Ladyhawk, a restaurant in the Kimpton LA Peer Hotel, which won Best New Restaurant in LA Magazine, thanks to its prodigy chef Charbel Hayek. The Middle Eastern spot has one of the most delicious mezze platters I've tasted, complete with fresh hummus, a muhammara dish made of roasted red peppers. And for breakfast, I visit another famous hotel - Sunset Tower, which served as residence to Marilyn Monroe, Frank Sinatra and Elizabeth Taylor. But I didn't go to LA just to eat - it's all about the active lifestyle here. After a morning workout at Taylor Swift's favourite fitness studio DOGPOUND, I head out on an e-bike tour with Bikes + Hikes to learn more about WeHo - where porn theatres and brothels have been replaced by cannabis lounge, State Social House, and rows and rows of cannabis dispensaries. Even actor Woody Harrelson has his own one - aptly named The Woods. I choose not to indulge in any of the green stuff - opting instead for some relaxation. And you certainly won't be lacking that in West Hollywood, as it has the largest number of wellness offerings on the West Coast. I try several treatments, including the red carpet facial at Bamford Spa at 1 Hotel - a go-to for the likes of Jennifer Coolidge. I sip on tea and freshly made smoothies while awaiting my appointment. Even before the facial, I'm feeling more relaxed, sipping on tea and freshly made smoothies while waiting for my appointment. And after, my face is positively glowing, with my skin having gone from dry to dewy in just an hour. But I feel like a fully fledged Angelino after the two treatments I have at Next Health - a vitamin injection in my butt and cryotherapy. It might sound mad having a bum injection, but the Beauty B shot is full of good stuff for skin, hair and nail health, like biotin and folic acid. I'm usually apprehensive about injecting anything into my body, and after seeing two of my friends get light-headed from the treatment, I do have doubts for a second - but watching the more regular customers look so nonchalant as they have vitamin drips via IV and red light therapy eases my nerves. While I can't say I feel a noticeable difference after the glute injections, the cryotherapy is one of the most refreshing treatments I've had done. The advanced cold therapy reaches temperatures as low as -65°C in just three minutes, and although my eyelashes do freeze over, I have Taylor Swift on in the background helping the time fly by - and I'd be keen to be frozen again! I feel like even more of an A-lister later, when I take a helicopter ride across the city, with Maverick Helicopters, flying over the Hollywood sign, Santa Monica Pier, Universal Studios and Harry Potter World. Suspended over such iconic locations I'd only ever seen in films before, I'm almost too starstruck to remember my fear of heights.

Behind Jacob deGrom, Rangers seek split of series vs. Mariners
August 3 - Luis Curvelo will never forget his first major-league victory. And should they make the playoffs, neither will the Texas Rangers. Curvelo replaced injured closer Robert Garcia and pitched 1 1/3 innings of scoreless relief as the Rangers defeated the host Seattle Mariners 6-4 in 11 innings Saturday. Texas is scheduled to send former Cy Young Award winner Jacob deGrom (10-3, 2.55 ERA) to the mound Sunday in an effort to split the four-game series against its American League West rivals. The Mariners are set to counter with rookie Logan Evans (4-4, 4.22). Curvelo spent six years in the Mariners' organization before signing with the Rangers in the offseason. The 24-year-old right-hander was called up from Triple-A Round Rock on Wednesday and made his major-league debut the next night, pitching two scoreless innings in a 6-0 loss. He got the call Saturday when Garcia exited with a scapula spasm with a runner on first and two outs in the bottom of the 10th. Curvelo struck out Eugenio Suarez to end the inning and retired the Mariners in order in the 11th after the Rangers scored twice in the top of the frame. "I mean, what a great job. These kids came up and really pitch well and you know we needed it," Rangers manager Bruce Bochy said. "(Curvelo's) got a lot of enthusiasm and passion, you can see it out there and he's got confidence. He went out there and did a terrific job. I can't say enough about these guys after a tough loss (Friday night), how they battled back. Just a great effort throughout the lineup." Kyle Higashioka homered and drove in three runs for the Rangers. Randy Arozarena hit a tying two-run homer in the bottom of the 10th for the Mariners after Texas scored twice in the top of the inning. "Coming back again in the extra innings with the home run by Randy, again to tie it back up in the 10th, (that was) huge," Mariners manager Dan Wilson said. "We just weren't able to come out on top of this today. But a great effort on all those guys' part." Seattle's Cal Raleigh, who leads the majors in both homers (42) and RBIs (88), went 0-for-5 with five strikeouts. "He's in a good spot," Wilson said about Raleigh. "It was just one of those days for him. We all have those days. That's going to happen. That's baseball." deGrom is coming off a 6-4 loss Monday against the host Los Angeles Angels in which he allowed five runs over 5 1/3 innings. He's 2-1 with a 2.51 ERA in six career starts against Seattle. deGrom took a no-decision in a 5-3 loss April 11 in Seattle, then beat the M's 8-1 on May 4 in Arlington, Texas, as he allowed one run on three hits over five innings. Evans' lone start against the Rangers came in that 8-1 loss, though just one of the six runs he gave up in five innings was earned.
