Nottingham Forest have reportedly reached an agreement with Palmeiras for the sale of Paraguayan winger Ramon Sosa.
According to the Telegraph's John Percy, Forest will receive £10 million for the 25-year-old attacker.

Sosa joined the Premier League club in 2024 and made 23 appearances under manager Nuno Espirito Santo.
He bagged three goals and an assist during his time at the City Ground. Despite showing flashes of quality, Sosa struggled to secure a regular starting role at Forest.
The move to Palmeiras will reunite Sosa with fellow Paraguayan Gustavo Gomez, who is the team captain and a key figure in the national team.
Sosa will be a huge boost to Palmeiras' attacking options
Sosa previously played in his native Paraguay before moving to Argentina.
Known for his pace and flair, Sosa often cuts inside from the left wing to shoot with his stronger right foot.

He is also known for his direct attacking style and quick dribbling, which make him a constant threat in one-on-one situations.
Although he prefers to play on the left, Sosa is capable of operating on either wing or in an advanced central role.
He is energetic and not afraid to track back and help in defensive duties when needed.
His adaptability and physical strength make him well-suited to the demands of South American football.
Palmeiras are expected to benefit from his attacking quality as they continue their push in league and continental competitions.
Forest will now look to reinvest the transfer fee into their squad.

They attempted to sign Timothy Weah from Juventus, but will now shift focus to alternative targets after the deal collapsed.
Strengthening their attacking options will be key to maintaining their momentum going into the new season.

Nottingham Forest chase bargain La Liga defensive star

Premier League side Nottingham Forest could launch a summer transfer raid on La Liga to secure one of Mallorca's key stars. Forest secured a European qualification spot on the final day of the 2024/25 season as Nuno Espirito Santo's side slotted into the UEFA Conference League. Advertisement The extra games and demand placed on the schedule means Santo is looking for reinforcements to his squad. With Brazilian midfielder Danilo potentially moving on – amid interest from Lyon and Real Betis – the former Valencia boss is looking at the Spanish top-flight for options. As per the latest update from El Chiringuito, Mallorca defender Pablo Maffeo is on his radar. Pablo Maffeo Mallorca contract, transfer latest Maffeo has been a regular for Mallorca since his 2022 transfer move from VfB Stuttgart and he is under contract in Palma until 2027. However, the financial lure of the Premier League is a strong factor for the 27-year-old, with no progress on a renewal at this stage. The report claims Forest are ready to table a €6m offer for Maffeo to cover both full back positions in behind Neco Williams and Ola Aina next season. Advertisement Forest have reportedly already agreed personal terms with Maffeo and his agent with the final barrier to a deal focused on Mallorca accepting their bid. €6m is slightly above what Mallorca value him at currently, but his value to the squad remains a clear factor in deciding whether or not to offload him to the City Ground this summer. Pablo Maffeo to Mallorca: Key stats on La Liga star Maffeo has developed a reputation as a tough tackling defender in La Liga and he is consistent in his role and rarely injured. Across the last four seasons at Mallorca, he has appeared in 30 or more of Mallorca's 38 league games on three occasions, as a key part of their backline.

Mallorca star agrees terms with Nottingham Forest

A member of the defensive ranks at La Liga outfit RCD Mallorca has agreed to the terms of a contract with English side Nottingham Forest. That's according to El Chiringuito TV, who point towards Pablo Maffeo as the player in question. Advertisement Stopper Maffeo is for his part fresh off a campaign which saw him continue to play a leading role in the colours of Mallorca. All told, the 27-year-old racked up 28 La Liga starts, chipping in with a pair of assists along the way. And Maffeo's impressive form across these outings, evidently, did not go unnoticed in the Premier League. This comes amid confirmation on the part of the aforementioned El Chiringuito TV that the right-back is the subject of an approach from Nottingham Forest. Maffeo, it is understood, has already found an agreement on the terms of a long-term deal to take his talents to the City Ground. Paulinho scores in extra time to give Palmeiras a 1-0 win over Botafogo at the Club World Cup

Associated Press PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Paulinho worked his way between a pair of defenders and rolled a shot into the back of the net in extra time Saturday to put Palmeiras into the quarterfinals of the Club World Cup with a 1-0 victory over Brazilian league rival Botafogo. Paulinho, who has made one appearance for Brazil's national team, dribbled through the defense with an inside cut from the right wing in the 100th minute. He then sent a left-footed shot into the lower left corner of John's net. Botafogo created multiple chances for an equalizer in the final minutes but couldn't get a goal. The match at Lincoln Financial Field was full of attacking soccer with a combined 35 shot attempts. Palmeiras, however, ended the match with 10 men after defender Gustavo Gomez was given a red card. Gómez received a second yellow card in the 116th minute after tackling Igor Jesus in midfield to prevent Botafogo from starting a counterattack. The 33,657 fans in attendance helped set the tone for the match with incessant cheering, bringing the flavor of a South American game to the United States. Key moment Paulinho's goal in extra time broke the scoreless draw and gave Palmeiras the win and a spot in the quarterfinals against either Benfica or Chelsea. Takeaways Palmeiras is the first team to reach the quarterfinals of the Club World Cup. The team will return to Philadelphia to face the winner of Friday's match between Benfica and Chelsea. Botafogo, the current Copa Libertadores champion, has been eliminated from the tournament. What they said 'Coach has been saying this since the start of the season, that we have a dream and dreaming costs nothing. We follow that dream, one game after another. Always thinking about the present, about the next game ... We're very happy, we're pleased to have qualified, and as I said, we have to keep dreaming.' — Palmeiras defender Bruno Fuchs. "We leave with our head held high. We faced teams of a high level, the highest level in soccer. We were able to represent well Botafogo, Botafogo's shirt. Of course, we wanted to go further and we prepared to go further, but things don't always go the way we want them to.' — Botafogo defender Vitinho. ___ AP soccer:
