Video: Golden Retriever Shows How an ‘Effective Non-Verbal Communication' Looks Like
Anyone who's lived with a dog knows they are excellent at passive-aggressively staring at you until you do what they want. However, some pups skip the drama and go straight for nuance. One video making waves on Instagram proves that with just a flick of the brow, a Golden Retriever can speak volumes, and it's honestly kind of impressive.
In a recent video, Stevie, a young Golden Retriever, has gone viral for her surprisingly 'effective non-verbal communication.' In a video uploaded to Instagram, Stevie demonstrates a hilarious and surprisingly clear way of asking for what she wants using only her eyebrows.
The video opens with Stevie standing still, focused on something off-camera. As the camera pans, it becomes clear that her attention is fixed on a ball lying nearby. Instead of barking, whining, or pawing at it, Stevie looks at the ball, then at her owner, then back again, each time raising and lowering her eyebrows as if to say, 'You see what I'm seeing, right?' It's subtle, but unmistakable: she wants the ball, and she is asking for it with perfect eyebrow movement.
Viewers couldn't stop pointing out how spot-on the Golden Retriever's body language was in the video. One user nailed the moment, commenting, 'The good old 'It's not gonna throw itself!' eyebrow look.' Someone else added, 'Her eyebrow game is stronger than most people's communication skills,' turning the video into a lighthearted commentary on human behavior too. Perhaps the most accurate take came from a fan who wrote, 'She's not demanding but very demanding at the same time.'
Understanding and responding to non-verbal cues is a big part of having a strong bond with your pet. Dogs use eye contact, tail movement, and facial expressions to let us know what they need. As such, learning to read those cues can improve communication and reduce frustration for both pet and owner. Whether it's a subtle stare, a tilt of the head, or in Stevie's case, some well-timed eyebrow movement, dogs have more to say than we might think if we're paying attention.

Katie Couric slams Lauren Sanchez's wedding style, calling it outdated and ‘tacky'
She was not impressed by the dress. Katie Couric slammed Lauren Sanchez's wedding style, bashing her gown and her hair in a scathing social media post. 'Welcome to the eighties — when big hair and conspicuous consumption ruled. Apparently tacky is back,' she penned. The former 'Today' show host left the rude remark on Jack Schlossberg's Instagram post on Friday, the day Sanchez married Bezos in a lavish ceremony in Venice, Italy. Schlossberg, the son of Caroline Kennedy, reposted Sanchez's Vogue cover — where the former journalist donned her long-sleeved, corseted Dolce & Gabbana lace gown that took some 900 hours to make — with the caption, 'Like I said … vogue.' 3 Katie Couric slammed Lauren Sanchez's wedding look, which made the cover of Vogue. Vogue Couric wasted no time in jumping on the bandwagon, and an hour later, left the 'tacky' comment, to which Schlossberg replied, 'Let's bring back scrunchies,' a reference to the '80s hair accessory famously roasted on 'Sex and the City.' Others joined in on the attack, adding comments such as 'Spot on. Money can't buy you class' and 'Imagine being married to the one of richest men on the planet and still choosing a dress that's ugly as f—k.' 3 The former 'Today' host took to Instagram to call Sanchez's look 'tacky.' Getty Images for The Women's Media Center Some did defend the new bride's looks, however, and called for an end to the mean girl comments. 'I think she looks gorgeous, the dress is stunning and a surprise. Everyone leave her alone. Let her be happy,' one said. 'If the dress made her feel good on her day that's a beautiful thing,' another added. 3 Sanchez married Jeff Bezos in a lavish, star-studded ceremony in Venice, Italy. @laurensanchezbezos via REUTERS Others turned on Couric and her unnecessarily rude comment. 'I'm reading that many women say Lauren Sánchez Bezos lacks 'class.' Those same critics also lack 'class,' because an educated, intelligent, respectful, or rather, classy person doesn't go around criticizing or making fun of other people,' one scolded. Another pointed out that Couric may be lashing out because she feels slighted since she didn't make the wedding's star-studded guest list. 'I'm guessing you aren't invited, Katie lol,' they quipped.

Anna Camp Calls Out Hollywood's Age Gap Double Standard
Anna Camp had a little message for anyone who still has something negative to say about the age difference between her and her girlfriend, Jade Whipkey. Earlier this month, Anna celebrated the premiere of her new film Bride Hard, at the Directors Guild of America in Los Angeles. While at the event, Anna, 42, and Jade, 24, made their red carpet debut as a couple. The two were all-smiles the entire night. Despite this being their first red carpet together, Anna and the celebrity stylist confirmed their relationship back in March, after posting a photo of them together on her Instagram story dressed for the Renaissance Pleasure Faire. News of their relationship caused a stir online, ranging from comments from fans being surprised that Anna is now dating a woman after being in two heterosexual marriages, to shock about the 18-year age gap she shares with Jade. So, the Pitch Perfect star hopped in the comments to set the record straight, saying, "I dated men exactly my age and Jade is FAR more mature than any of them." Well, with conversations on the topic still happening, Anna subtly addressed the naysayers again on Instagram, this time through her own post. On June 24, Anna shared a carousel of photos and videos, with the majority of them including Jade. And while pitcures just kept getting cuter... ...and cuter... ...there was one image that really stood out. In the middle of the carousel was a photoshopped photo of Leonardo DiCaprio with his current girlfriend, Vittoria Ceretti, with the caption "25 years" written across it, emphasizing their age gap. Outside of being an extremely talented actor, Leo is also known for dating models in their 20s. Leo is 50 (1974) and Vittoria is 27 (1998). The two were spotted celebrating Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez's wedding at Hotel Gritti on June 26, 2025, in Venice, Italy. Despite the image Ana posted saying "25 years," the two actually have a 24-year age gap. You can see everything she posted below: What are your thoughts on this? Let me know in the comments! George Kittle posted a video to Instagram on Friday, showing him and Taylor Swift singing along to her 2008 hit "Love Story" during this year's Tight End University gathering. Shout-out to everyone who made it possible and to the TEs for showing up. @te_university." In the video, Kittle and Swift are seen singing the line "Beggin' you, please don't go…" while standing together in a crowded bar. Swift joins in with arms raised, and Kittle later pans the camera to Travis Kelce, who is smiling and singing along as well. The video appears to be from a Monday night event in Nashville during the three-day Tight End University camp. The program, co-founded by Kittle, Kelce, and Greg Olsen, brings together NFL tight ends for training and community events. Swift also performed earlier in the week during the "Tight Ends & Friends" charity concert on Tuesday, June 25, at Brooklyn Bowl in Nashville. In addition to Swift's appearance, the concert featured performances from Jordan Davis, Sophia Scott and Graham Barham.
