Hodeida symposium links Nakba, Gaza, Tanumah massacre

Saba Yemen18-05-2025
Hodeida - Saba:
A cultural symposium titled "Nakba Anniversary - Supporting Gaza - Tanumah Massacre" was held in Hodeida province on Sunday, organized by the Guidance Sector and the Scholars and Educators Unit.
Scholars and intellectuals reviewed Nakba's history and its connection to the ongoing situation in Gaza, attributing it to the complicity of client regimes.
The symposium also highlighted Tanumah massacre of Yemeni pilgrims by the Saudi regime, emphasizing that the blood of victims in both events cries out against inaction.
Speakers stressed the need for practical action beyond condemnation, cultural and mobilization efforts against those who abandoned Palestine, and the importance of understanding the shared enemy and regional collusion behind these events.
The speakers asserted that the Quranic project offers hope and called for intensified cultural activities and a stronger jihadi discourse until all occupied lands, including Palestine, are liberated.

Armed Forces Spokesman: Yemeni Air Defenses Effectively Confronted Israeli Aggression

Sana'a - (Saba): The official spokesman for the Armed Forces, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, confirmed that the Yemeni air defenses effectively confronted the Israeli aggression and forced a large portion of its formations to withdraw. In a statement issued today, Brigadier General Saree indicated that the air defenses confronted the Israeli aggression with a large barrage of locally manufactured surface-to-air missiles, causing great confusion among the enemy pilots and their operations rooms. He said, "Our air defenses are ready and prepared to confront the Israeli attacks on our country with all strength and power, God willing." He added, "We assure our people and the free people of our nation that our armed forces are at high readiness and capable, with God's help, of confronting the aggressors. These attacks will not affect them or their military capabilities, and that support operations for Gaza and Palestine will continue at a rapid pace. We will defend our country and our nation with all our strength, God willing." Whatsapp Telegram Email Print more of (Local)

Israel Launches "Black Flag" Airstrikes on Houthi Targets in Yemen

Aden — Israel launched a series of precision airstrikes early Monday morning targeting Houthi-controlled sites in Yemen. The operation, dubbed "Black Flag", was initiated in response to repeated missile and drone attacks originating from Yemeni territory toward Israeli cities. Scope of the Operation The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed that over 50 missiles and guided bombs were deployed against strategic Houthi positions, including ports in Al-Hudaydah, Ras Isa, and Al-Salif, as well as the Ras Kathib power station. Among the targets was the previously seized vessel "Galaxy Leader", allegedly repurposed by the Houthis for military surveillance. Official Statements Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant described the campaign as "a necessary deterrent" aimed at curbing Iran-backed aggression and safeguarding regional maritime routes. 'Those who target Israeli sovereignty will face swift consequences,' Gallant stated. This marks the first direct Israeli strike inside Yemen in recent years and raises concerns about a broader regional confrontation. The United Nations has called for restraint, urging all parties to avoid further escalation.
