Chelsea Handler Said She's 'Done' With Going On Vacation With Her Siblings' Partners, And People Are Seriously Divided
For reference, 50-year-old Chelsea has never married and doesn't have children, and she is the youngest of six siblings. Her oldest brother, Chet, tragically died in 1984, and she previously said that this loss helped to keep her, Shoshanna, Simone, Glen, and Roy 'a tight-knit group.'
Speaking to the New York Times in 2022, Chelsea included her brothers and sisters in a list of her favorite things, saying at the time: 'It's really nice to have adult closeness with all of your siblings. They're the only people in your life who understand exactly what you went through with your parents growing up.'
'We've gotten closer and closer as we've gotten older,' she added. 'There are five of us. We're a big pack, a unit. My most meaningful relationships are with my siblings."
Chelsea is also incredibly close with her siblings' children. Back in 2017, she proudly posted a photo to Instagram with 'all' of her nieces and nephews, though it's not known if she has welcomed any more since. For reference, in 2017, she was an auntie to eight children.
And in June last year, Chelsea shared a selection of vacation snaps as she revealed that she had taken all of the kids on a trip that was gatecrashed by two of the adults.

Captioning the post at the time, the star wrote: 'I brought my nieces and nephews on a children's ONLY trip, except we had two adult interlopers who wormed their way in and are also related. Mi familia.'
But despite the cool in-law points that these trips inevitably earned her, Chelsea has now admitted that she is going to be more selective with who she vacations with in the future.

Speaking on Olivia Attwood's So Wrong It's Right podcast, Chelsea matter-of-factly said: 'I told my brothers and sisters this year that I'm done with their spouses. I'm like: 'I don't need to go on vacation with your spouses anymore,' I didn't marry these people.'
'I've extended my generosity for 25 years, I've brought all of your children and all of your spouses on vacations, multiple vacations a year for 25 years, and now I want to vacation with the people that I want to vacation with, and they're not your spouses,' she went on. 'I'm sure this is very relatable to people who also don't enjoy traveling with their siblings' spouses.'
But it seems as though Chelsea's comments aren't as relatable as she may have thought, with some criticizing the star in the comments of a TikTok video from the pod.
One person wrote: 'that's honestly awful. yikes,' and another added: 'I'm married, if someone doesn't want to hang out with my spouse, too bad. See you in neveruary.'
'too bad, they are ur family now,' somebody else agreed, while one more wrote: 'Oh, that's just sad and boring. I love my sisters-in-law. I don't think a vacation would be the same without them now.'
'I would rather vacation with my brothers wife than my actual brother,' another echoed.
But not everybody felt this way, with others agreeing with Chelsea, saying that they also value sibling-only time.
'You don't like to spend time with your sibling?' one person wrote in response to the negative comments. 'My siblings and I do sibling (no spouse/partner) trips all the time because we just want to hang out.'

Another user joked: 'As a spouse thank you I don't want to be there,' and somebody else concluded: 'I would prefer it if my husband's siblings excluded me more often.'

The video finishes with Pola lying on the ground, rubbing her face against the bone—but, so far, has not appeared to have eaten any of it. Her owner captioned the clip with the hashtag "interpretive dance." It proved hugely popular, racking up close to 90,000 likes and over 654,000 views, as animal lovers shared their own stories. "My dog finishes the ritual by burying the bone before she's even eaten it. She then spends a week digging up the yard trying to recall where she buried it to resurrect it," one wrote. "My lab just did that with a yak chew," another posted, as a third asked: "Omg [oh my God] do they all do this?" "Mine hides them under the sofa and then whines at me to retrieve it, then stashes it under the sofa again," one viewer wrote. "Why can't he be doing sacrificial dance offs instead?" Some commenters were concerned that the bone could be dangerous for Pola, as it could damage her teeth or splinter, causing her to choke.
