Stock Market Today: Adani Power share price gained 7% in the morning trades on Monday as it announced Receipt of Letter of Award for 1500 MW Power Supply Agreement in the state of UP (Uttar Pradesh)
Adani Power release intimated the exchanges on 10 May 2025 that Adani Power Limited has received a Letter of Award ('LOA') from Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited ('UPPCL') for procurement of 1,500 MW from a new thermal power project of 2x800MW (1600 MW) installed capacity situated in the State of Uttar Pradesh for a period of 25 years.

State-owned Hindustan Copper Ltd has recorded its highest-ever revenue from operation at Rs 2,070.97 crore in FY 2024-25, reflecting a robust year-on-year increase of 21 per cent from Rs 1,717.00 crore in FY 2023-24. According to IEA, exploration activity plateaued after consistent growth since 2020. While spending rose for lithium, uranium, and copper, it declined sharply for nickel, cobalt, and zinc. The funding in startups also slowed, the IEA report added. The low mineral prices failed to trigger new investments and affected projects led by new market entrants.

Realty firm Signature Global plans to raise up to Rs 875 crore through issue of non-convertible debentures to refinance debt and expand business. Signature Global's board approved the raising of funds by issuance of Secured Listed Redeemable Non-Convertible Debentures (NCDs), for an amount not exceeding Rs 875 crore on private placement basis, in one or more tranches. Signature Global Chairman Pradeep Kumar Aggarwal, said, "We have taken the approval of board to raise funds. We will also seek shareholders approvals." He said the company will use Rs 450 crore to refinance its existing debt while the remaining amount will be for business growth. Aggarwal said the company is targeting to raise funds by the end of August, subject to shareholders' approval. On Wednesday, the board also approved the notice of postal ballot for seeking shareholders' approval for issuance of NCDs, enhancement of borrowing limit, enhancement of limit for creation of security and alteration of Articles of Association of the company. Gurugram-based Signature Global is one of the leading real estate developers in the country. In 2024-25 financial year, the company emerged as the fifth largest listed real estate firm in terms of sales bookings. The company sold properties worth Rs 10,290 crore in the last fiscal and is targeting Rs 12,500 crore pre-sales in the current financial year. Signature Global started its business to develop affordable housing projects, but now it is focusing on mid-income, premium segments because of the high land cost in Gurugram.

Despite the government's approval on January 16, 2025, the Pay Commission has not been formally constituted. The ToR and the appointment of the chairman and other important members have also not yet been completed. 8th Pay Commission For Salary Pension, Allowance Revision 3 / 8 The 8th Pay Commission will revise the pensions, allowances and salaries of central government employees and pensioners. It further stated that in the absence of clear and timely communication, apprehensions are growing among employees about the credibility of the announcement regarding the setting up of the 8th CPC. Many fear whether this move is a genuine administrative initiative or otherwise. 8th Pay Commission ToRs NCJCM Staff Side Presses Faster Finalisation 8 / 8 The Staff Side has appealed to the government to issue clear guidelines on the finalized ToRs of the 8th CPC at the earliest, to dispel any ambiguity and restore confidence among the workforce. The Staff Side further requested the government to clarify that the benefits of pay fixation and revision under the 8th CPC shall also be extended to all central government pensioners, thereby removing doubts and ensuring parity and fairness in treatment.
